    Good job mate!
    My thought is that the coolant leaking through the electric part of the VGT must have made disturbance on the engine circuit can-bus system wich then has led to all the random fault codes. Good find, and this proves again the importance of a proper test drive :)

      Yeah i agree with you! Thing is things like that can proper through off you on a different path, yeah proper test drive is always needed.

      @@freightlanetv i actually had an Iveco bus the other day that had an intermittent abs fault, wich cause the heating in the driver seat to be on all the time despite the switch beeing off. Quite a day with 26°c outside🥵😂
      It shows how non related stuff can be the culprit😝👍

    Check voltages for injection components from sockets terminals, then pierching the sockets from the rubbers grommets, Check the voltages differences when plugged on, if the voltages drops more than 10% there is a problem before or after that line or in the line. You can identity the faulty component by charging the ends of those with load and checking voltages till you reach the last control unit. This is £1200 course 24 hours long.

    Morning from Downunder/New Zealand, gotta DAF 2000 Cf85, xf315m engine type. Trouble is we are losing throttle, can be intermittent. When firing it up in the morning, there is no throttle at all; unplug the accelator under the floor, beneath pedal, nothing. Hand accelator @ pump, nothing, it is free and loose, no fight back. Then after about 1/2 an hour, comes right. And at the fuel pump, you'll get fight back as the pump doesn't match the accelator position, I think. If you have any thoughts it'd be much appreciated. Cheers

    Can the injector also be the cause of that?

    Currently got a daf coach in with a couple of injection fault codes, loss of pressure cylinder 1 and 4
    Its got the old UPEC stuff in. Pulling all the unit pumps and injectors, sent for testing hopefully there knackered and that's been my fuel fault 😆 as jaltest is pretty basic on the older stuff

      wow I haven't worked on one of them upec engines for a long time! fingers crossed that sorts the problem out for you! let us know how you get on!

      @@freightlanetv so she's back up and running, turns out the fuel was contamination with petrol, drained tank and tried fresh diesel, no luck. Loss of pressure on 1 & 4 still.
      So changed all unit pumps and injectors, but still would run correctly, kept blocking the pre filter with black gunge. So tanks off again and washed out. Touch wood been fine so far. Driving better than ever before, absolute flying machine now

    So 4 years after the last CF went (52 reg) we have had one of your old 17 plate CFs from another contrct arrive. I have yet to have a thorough look around but I can see that the driver's door card needs to come off since there is something amiss with the interior handle (weak return spring?). Any advice - like where are the fixings? - would be appreciated as this unit appears to be in remarkably good condition.

    • @freightlanetv
      @freightlanetv  2 роки тому

      Ahh yeah the Ryder vehicles are very well looked after on very good maintenance schedules etc, I would definitely take the door card off and have a look at the rods that are connected to the handle which go to the locks etc

    Was there black smoke when you tried to rev up? My truck had that once. They replaced a valve or something.

    why is there so many errors stored can you not clear the inactive ones and does Ryder not have OEM software

    • @freightlanetv
      @freightlanetv  2 роки тому

      We just have a jaltest mate, but that’ll clear all faults that are inactive.

    There is an issue with the VTG where it reads it's movement internally one of the sensors come loose .The VTG has the revs moving up and down...I would check with your local dealer and see if the VTG is covered ..I had that once tried to pull out at a roundabout ,shit myself lol..It is also recommmended to check the DPF..VTG are like rocking horse shit at the moment

    • @freightlanetv
      @freightlanetv  2 роки тому

      I’m not actually sure looking at it whether it had a new one on, but atm we are replacing them a fair bit with either them leaking coolant or being faulty, I will do that Monday check the DPF. That’s not a ideal situation on a roundabout lol

      On the mx11 and 13 the turbo is cracking under the vtg causing issues like vtg calibration. Bpv and egr faults

      @@freightlanetv It may have had a new one at some time .but it may have been part of a faulty batch.from what i remember the end stop sensors for a word are glued on and 1 comes loose,so technically the span is shorter ...If you have a monitor on your texa ,you can read desired what it wants and actual what it is getting ,You would have seen it all over the place..On a plus i now have 2 camshafts to do lol..As you know parts are a nightmare at times ...Keep up the good work
