1. Recognize the set up and motion is in a horizontal position, so the force of gravity is taken out of the equation. 2. To protect the knees, perform your first rep as if doing the leg press with the toes in line or slightly behind the knee and then extend the knees and walk your feet down to the bottom of the leg press platform. Perform your calf raises for the desired number of repetitions and then on the last rep, walk your feet back up the platform and slowly lower the weight stack down.
Bruhhhh the first time i tried this machine i held that lever because i thought you had to hold it so you can push lol thanks for showing us how to properly use the machine!
Thanks! I can't wait to try it out :) I was looking for place to train my calves in my gym. Because we don't have any calve machines. But i did see some people use it before.
@life fitness...safety should always be the main concern for doing any exercise. It was surprisingly that you didn't mention not to lock the knees when doing this exercise, as it can do a lot of damages.
This is probably the worst leg press machine I've ever tried. No other machine starts from the bottom. Also I am 5'6 and on the lowest setting I still can't hit full range of motion.
This is exactly ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxUHHotQRjIQnfuxEeVotlkHVYWH0DXZoS what I needed to get some exercise while I'm stuck at my desk all day. It's just the right size. Only downsides are that the right oeddale unscrews itself while I use it and increasing the tension causes it to squeak while in use. Both are minor issues that aren't that important to me. So I give it 5 stars.
Können Sie was zu dem Neupreis sagen wenn sie diese Beinpresse gekauft haben, weil auch gebraucht (also bis zu 10 Jahre alt) werden immer noch je nach Zustand ca. 2000.- USD.- verlangt.
Just because you are doing it wrong doesn't mean that it doesn't work. Gyms don't spend thousands of dollars to put something in their gyms if it doesn't work. They would use something else.
@@lapnguyen2898 I posted that years ago, what I meant was it's not very effective at all compared to squats because of the angle you're lifting this from. Nobody said I was doing it wrong.
Great question! It can be utilized as a Calf Raise with an extended knee, which works primarily the Gastrocnemius muscle. A few tips:
This is a great alternative to squats. And it is so easy to add weight.

Literally me right now 🤣🤣
Fr thats me
I did this today and wondered why it wouldn’t go all the way up 🙈 felt like an idiot when I asked what I was doing wrong 😂
Amaaazing explaination, I was looking for a video to send to my young brother, this is absolutely the right and safe one!!!
You are sitting on an incline and when you extend your legs you move up the incline. What % of body weight is included in total weight lifted?
I have this in my gym.. idk if its broken.. when I push myself up the weights isnt moving..
good demo, professionally done.
Thanks!
I can't wait to try it out :)

This right here, I can't believe how many of these instruction videos don't mention this.
I’m at the gym right now and how tf i should regulate the seat level?😢 that’s too far from my legs, i don’t understand…
😂
nice explain 💪
Thanks

I was wondering if I was doing it wrong but it legitimately seems impossible to get a full range of motion
How can you improve the range of motion? Maybe Im just short but even at the lowest level the rom still sucks
How many pounds is the seat carriage?
I never feel this in my quads. Only hams and glutes.
Add more weight or use the inclined leg press
Use your toes to feel in quads. He literally states that using your toes you feel it in your quads
You probably don't do the full range of motion
More than likely, your feet are too high and wide. The higher you place your feet and with width, you change the focus to your hams and glutes
It’s almost impossible to use more hamstring that quads. There is no stretch or resistance in the hamstrings. It’s a quad and glutes exercise
My gym has one of these, will this work for my calf training as well ?
Yes...just press out...position toes at bottom of foot plate...do calf raises. Works so good
nice, very informative. thanks

Have this in my gym.. The range of motion is horrible. This is not good for lifters it's only good for physical therapy patients.
Too much damn talking, I didn't see any reps except one half ass one
😂😂😂😂
Crikey
Is this machine as shit as the previous models?
this is the best leg press machine bar none. Seriously the only one that doesnt hurt my back.
this machine DOES NOT WORK....very disappointed
