I think the realistic invisible would be easier, don't even need fusion. Keep it up, Jay. The production values seem to be getting better in each of your videos. cheers
Nice tutorial - I did a kind of predator creature effect with the object mask and a clean plate (hadn't a proper clean plate so this might have actually contributed to the effect)
What if the object you wanna make invisible wasn't a green screen element? Like, a separate cut-out element? How would that apply to this tutorial or vice-versa.
Anyone got this working in davinci resolve 18.5 ? I tried twice no luck. When he gets to the greenscreen instruction at 3:06 my background doesn't look like his checkerboard background. Followed the tutorial whole way through nothing just a subtle aura effect on video.
@@JayLippman it would be the nodes that are giving it the translucent effect.. Probably the one you were adjusting when you said I don’t want it all the way invisible because it would have to go from the current state to fully invisible. I will watch the video again and figure it out no sweat!
Hey Jay man, I was thinking. This latest search for special effects. It has me inspired. Being inspired is motivating me to push the envelope. Any which way, This comment is to suggest a video which would probably be easy for you to make and would be very cool and entertaining if you can pull it off. My suggestion. Use the tracker and some fire rendering to set moving objects on fire. I've done this once and had tons of fun doing it even though it went nowhere (wasn't very realistic). Either way, A few fast examples with full instruction of how you can set things on fire in Davinci Resolve 18 and just do it and set things on fire. I hope you don't think I'm nuts but I'm absolutely sure I know what I'm onto. Those fire composition how to videos for davinci have lots of views, on top of that, people stay hooked to it then come back just to make an explosion transition. lol,.... Cya around Jay.

Loved this skit 🤣
Ah!! Thanks so much Gedaly!! I'm glad you liked it!
That was awesome, Jay. Love the lights in your studio! Great job 👏
Glad you liked it!! Thanks Ruben!

Wow, great effect - thanks man 🙏🏻🤟
Thank you!!!
Can it be done in the free version?
Many thanks for this one effect.
What about a cinemagraph effect in fusion ?
Coming this Monday!
Thanks, nice effect Jay.
Thanks Ray!
Why at 2:55 I can't draw anything? That part stays black and I see no clip in there :(
How about a star trek teleporter effect
Will the shadow of the subject also be removed?
Only if you use a green screen
Thank you
No problem! Thanks for watching!!

So for the Predator walk away invisibility effect, what would I need to keyframe?
I'm not sure! I'd have to play around with it a bit to figure that out.

Probably along with the prism as well
I remember a One Direction's music video where the same person changes face throughout the video and I kinda want to learn that
What’s the name of the song? I gotta check out the video so I can put it on the list!
It's called "You & I"

Oh there are definitely some fire-related videos coming lol. But the sketches I have in mind require a second shooter. Hopefully soon!
How do you light your green screen
I have a tube light on each side of it to get rid of the shadows.
Not bad, but I still prefer Drax's method of standing so perfectly still that I become invisible. 😅
😂😂😂
🙂
👍😎
Jay you lose a lot of weight
Thanks for noticing!
