That was a very good psalm. I liked: 18, "Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come." I have declared Jesus as my Savior/Rescuer for 46 years (1978) when I was 21 years old. Over the decades, God has not forsaken me even when I was going through chemotherapy and full body radiation for leukemia. I did not loose my faith or hope in the One who loved me first ( 1 John 4:19), but was a witness to the medical staff as I endured the effects of my treatments (2010). I knew that if I lived or died I would still remain close to God either on earth or in heaven. We should all consider what legacy we will leave to the following generations. I have often turned to the commentaries of Matthew Henry (early 1700's). God used him as a legacy that has been fruitful through the many generations of pastors and theologians. I wonder if he knew, back then, the impact he was going to make through the dedication he placed in his work? Ha, God is good in so many ways! The more of our life that we surrender God, He is able to step in and bring Himself more glory through us. God has given us so much of Himself to us through His word so that we would begin to develop His characteristics. That's why listening, reading and studying to God's word is so important. An important part of our legacy will be known by those who are close to us as they will see what God is like through our actions. Thanks Sara! You, Henry and Guster are an ever growing legacy on UA-cam. What a blessing for the generations to come!
What a blessing your comment is, Mike! Thank you! I hope I leave a meaningful legacy!!! I’ll read your comment again when I need to feel encouraged! I’m going to read it again now! It blessed me! 💕🙌😊🙌💕
Shalom Sara! What a beautiful Psalm! One of my favorite titles for the Lord is “The Holy One of Israel!” 🇮🇱 I like that you brought out verse 18. “Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.” What an encouraging verse to those of us who are a bit older 😜My hair is salt and pepper now, and the Bible does say our gray hair is our crown of splendor in Proverbs 16:31. I pray that you, Henry and Guster are doing well. The cats were extra adorable this evening. Guster’s eyes are so beautiful! I pray you have a blessed evening in Yeshua, and me and Esther send you and the sweet kitties lots of hugs! ❤️🐶😻😻🤗🙏💕
Thanks Robbin! I’m glad you love that verse! It’s such a comforting and reassuring verse. Incidentally, Gray hair is in now 😊. I love the title God uses here, too. So unique. Hugs to you and Esther!! 😊🙏💕🐶😻💕
@ I stopped dying my hair years ago, and found that I felt so much more comfortable with it natural, and it grows much longer too! Shalom and blessings in Yeshua! ❤️🐶😻😻💕
