Shalom Sara! Such a beautiful passage! God is love. It’s sometimes hard to wrap my head around how much He really loves us. I think the only way that I can understand it is by being in His Word daily because He reveals His love through the entire Bible. I have a hard time feeling loved too. In the movie, The Apostle Paul, they had an interesting idea that the thorn was his remembering the Christians he had persecuted. One of them being Stephen. He frequently dreamed of what he did and saw the faces of those who died. Henry's eyes are so beautiful❤❤. I'm glad that you got your anxiety under control. 🤗

Shalom Sara! What a blessing this verse is. I agree that it’s so hard to have peace in circumstances we are not ok with. I love the last part of the verse, “Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” I need to get a sign that says that so I can remember it. Maybe I’ll make one! I am keeping you in my prayers every day. Could you please pray for Steve? He’s having sleep issues again. I know there is an underlying issue causing it. He’s got autoimmune disease of the pancreas which has been in remission but is still an issue and his sugars are a bit high. Also, I need prayer for osteoporosis. My scan was a little worse than the last one. I do bioidentical HRT so that really slows the progress, but I still do get a bit nervous. One of those “circumstantial icky things!” 😜 I totally related to the Jewish ancestral DNA thing. I’ve always felt the effects of what’s happened to our people throughout the history of Israel. We are definitely an interesting people and have been through so much persecution that it is really a part of who we are. Praise the Lord that since I got saved, and study the Bible, I finally understood why we are so hated. It’s a demonic hatred that infects people and is so illogical. Oy, here I go on another rabbit trail! I just want you to know that you are a blessing, and I’m very thankful for you! And by the way, I did laugh with you during the video! Hi Sara, how are you today? hope you are still well! yes Henry sure has pretty eyes as he is a handsome cat, and Guster too, as for me, i'm ok, it's starting to get colder, temps are dropping a little bit at a time, and less than 2 weeks will be December! and i don't know if i will celebrate the x mas holidays, i am alone and well i will think about it ha and what about you? do you celebrate Christmas?

Praying for you, Sara! Health related concerns can be very scary, especially after what you went through 25 years ago. I like to listen to videos that meditate on scriptures about God's healing. There are so many wonderful and soothing channels about healing

I can understand that after you had been so sick that you would be scared for the results. I sometimes get scared 😳 when I have labs too. That was a very good psalm. I liked: 18, "Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come." I have declared Jesus as my Savior/Rescuer for 46 years (1978) when I was 21 years old. Over the decades, God has not forsaken me even when I was going through chemotherapy and full body radiation for leukemia. I did not loose my faith or hope in the One who loved me first ( 1 John 4:19), but was a witness to the medical staff as I endured the effects of my treatments (2010). I knew that if I lived or died I would still remain close to God either on earth or in heaven. We should all consider what legacy we will leave to the following generations. I have often turned to the commentaries of Matthew Henry (early 1700's). God used him as a legacy that has been fruitful through the many generations of pastors and theologians. I wonder if he knew, back then, the impact he was going to make through the dedication he placed in his work? Ha, God is good in so many ways! The more of our life that we surrender God, He is able to step in and bring Himself more glory through us. God has given us so much of Himself to us through His word so that we would begin to develop His characteristics. That's why listening, reading and studying to God's word is so important. An important part of our legacy will be known by those who are close to us as they will see what God is like through our actions. Thanks Sara! You, Henry and Guster are an ever growing legacy on UA-cam. What a blessing for the generations to come!

One of my favorite titles for the Lord is “The Holy One of Israel!” 🇮🇱 I like that you brought out verse 18. “Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.” What an encouraging verse to those of us who are a bit older 😜My hair is salt and pepper now, and the Bible does say our gray hair is our crown of splendor in Proverbs 16:31. Shalom Sara! What a great study! I so enjoyed all of the study notes you read and your thoughts. Regarding the “Great cloud of witnesses” from verse 1, I believe that this is a continuation from all of the wonderful examples of faithful people from chapter 11. They are there as a witness to us of the life of faith. They ran the race with endurance, and their testimonies give us the encouragement to run the race as well with patient endurance. Matthew 24:13 says, “But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.” I don’t believe this cloud of witnesses is looking down upon us, but again that they are there as a witness of their faith in God through their individual testimonies. They show us the race can be won through having faith, and patiently enduring. When you talked about God’s discipline, I wanted to add too that I believe God does allow things to happen in our lives to bring us closer to Him and depend on Him. I have a hard time with the thought of discipline from God, but the Bible does say He disciplines those He loves. I think it’s the process of pruning and refining us to be more set apart for Him. For the past month I have been thinking about our bodies being temporary and loaned to us as a housing for our souls. I am so fortunate to have been in good health over the years, but as I have aged (nearly 68), I have acquired aches, pains and other symptoms of old age. Yet, fortunately, I am certain that this old body will one day be exchanged for a brand new one! To me, being rich towards God, is having His presence in my life. What a blessing. It is so comforting that when we are feeling anxious we can present our requests to God through prayer and petition. I love how the next verse gives us the result which is that the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Messiah Yeshua. I love the word “guard.” It reminds me of Esther when she hears something she starts to bark and guards and protects our home. What a blessing and comfort it is to know that the Lord guards and protects our minds and hearts. Sara, your prayers are such a blessing to me, and I’m sure to so many others in the community. You are so transparent and real in how you bring forth the Word and pray. The enemy loves to make us insecure. I will pray that the Lord protects your mind from the lies of the enemy. My dad said while he was sick with cancer and a few months before he died, that all the things he owned were mearly "rented". Can't take it with you. Also, in addition to today's reading, I like 2 Corinthians 5: *Our bodies are like tents that we live in here on earth. But when these tents are destroyed, we know that God will give each of us a place to live.* I cheated and looked up the meaning "rich toward God" -- *“Being rich toward God is the heart being drawn toward God as our riches.*

And every kitty is His too 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈🐈🐈🐈😻 Yes, God loves the animals. That's how I felt about my kitties...they were on loan and had to give them back to God. He's keeping them safe and happy for me until I can be reunited with them. 💘💘🌈 btw, they sell rechargeable laser pointers. I have one from my last kitty.
