i followed your instructions for which I Thank You. however, this did not remove the entry i was seeking to delete. rather, i just went into 'my computer' > conducted a search for the 'program name' which listed all entries (non-registry as well; mostly). i deleted each of them which did remove the orphan program from my taskbar/startup.

I found 2 "REG_BINARY" of the program i was searching for at the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StartupApproved\Run" path, should i delete them as well? (the programs in task manager startup section are already gone but i still have these 2 "REG_BINARY")

First, please check with the task manager start tap. If it shows no location of the file by right-clicking on it, then delete it

doesnt work sadly, regardless of which method i choose.
i tried the autoruns program and found the 3 files/apps i want to delete (2 are wondershare stuff and 1 is something else) BUT i cant delete them.
all i get is "failed to delete "(name)"
i have been trying to get rid of these 3 things for ages but nothing seems to work..

I got the same response for the first try. I resolved it by selecting "jump to entry" and deleting the target file in the pop-up window.

No, they are the garbage remaining on the computer from the uninstalled applications. As being said most of the time when you uninstall an application, it will not be uninstalled completely.
