That's because he's CDN (I am too) and his name isn't Mike O'Hearn. But, Bouad's channel goes into more explanation so we can get it right (novices, people working out for themselves )...who don't know or just want to get the most out of the exercise. And target the right muscle groups. Most Pro's just glance over the technique. How to do it properly.
This is really the content I'm looking for, not the standard montage type videos, rather an informative video on certain routines. Keep up the awesome work, Hoss!
Fouad is quickly becoming my go to for training, eating and motivation. I love training back and this is awesome advice. BTW thanks for the tip about the sushi rice in your previous cooking vid. I wouldn’t go back to regular white rice. Keep up the hard work.
Your “Pulling from the elbow, and not your hand/wrist” comment to activate more of your lat muscle when doing pull downs is spot on. GREAT TIP!! Thanks!
I've followed many channels over the years for training advice, nutrition advice etc. Fouad has become my favourite. He just tells it like it is with absolutely zero bullshit. And he genuinely wants his followers to do well and improve.
It's nice to hear that top guys like you have days when you feel shitty & weak too. Thanks for the knowledge & motivation Fouad. I'm not a competitor. Just a 40-year-old dad of 2 kids, trying to fight age & be better today than I was yesterday. I really appreciate all this stuff you put out.
10:35 this is gold. I’ve been lifting for two years and had the hardest time with the mind-muscle connection in my back muscles, but I figured this out about six months ago and my gains have exploded ever since.
Ma Sha Allah May Allah protect you! Started training Four months ago:) these videos are awesome, picked up heaps of great tips that make a big difference thanks for your efforts.
Came across this video last week,.and it was a complete game changer for me. I started lifting again 4-5 months ago and i havent been able to really activate my back and feel the workouts in my lower Lats. This video showed me everything i was doing wrong (pulling into my chest, pulling with my hands instead of my elbows, intensity of my sets to name a few). I made some adjustments from these tips my lats are SORE as hell right now. Thanks dude.
Dude, the way you explain things, and the tips you give along with the reasoning-- priceless. Started watching you more after the Tennyson leg workout collaboration. Been working out 5 years and you’ve already changed how I think through my workouts and form. Thank you
I have followed you for a long, long time. I really like they way you break everything down (cooking, meal plans/prep, workouts, etc.) for the most inexperienced person to understand. You are the standard people should follow. Thank you very much for what you do for the sport!!!💪💪💪💪
I have been working out a long time but i can't believe how much there is to learn - going too wide on pull ups, pulling more with your elbow and to your rib cage to thicken your lower lats..Thank You Fouad!
Thank you for this Hoss, I’ve been doing things wrong for a while. The tips you offer has made a huge difference. Your gym tips, meal prep ideas, and mindset is golden - no b.s. just truth on proven techniques.
all of your videos r so real n straight forward, not forgetting all the small details. u aint tryin to hide any knowledge or what so ever. Thanks sir🙏 from the deepest heart. I've been using personal trainer for couple years n yet after subscribing to your channel for less than a month I got more tips🙏salute
Thank you so much! I have learned more since the last 20 minutes than the last years. Absolutely awesome content. No bullshit because there is a camera, no just calm and professional advices. All the best for you!
Most underrated channel on UA-cam only bodybuilder that speaks sence and talks real not telling the people what they want to hear , keep it up big man should have a lot more subs than you've got 👌
Great info Fouad…! Your gym looks like where 99% of people go…..shows that a great workout is in the knowledge and technique, not a fancy name. One of the best channels on UA-cam…!
Bout to kill my back workout! 1. Lat Pulldowns - Shoulder width grip 2. Reverse grip Pulldowns - Make sure to pull until full contraction 3. Bent over row - close grip - bent over at 60 degrees, row into lower abs 4. Smith machine barbell row - row into lower abs 5. Seated cable rows - underhand grip - row into lower abs
This is by far one of the most informational videos I've ever watched!!! Watched it over a month ago and have had some of the most killer back days EVER since then. Thanks for all the knowledge Fouad!!
Didn’t realize how wrong I was with my back workouts. I went into the gym with a purpose after this video and the workout & pump was PHENOMENAL. Thank you!
I took your advice on the underhand row. Completely changed what was becoming a stale workout. Just had probably one of my best days at the gym in a long time. Excellent channel, keep up the good work.
The best take away from this video was definitely the speech at the end. That speech really enlightened me and got me fucking motivated. Much love big bro and get well soon!!
Most of the thing he does I do too. And no one example it to me. Im still new and only do these by responding to how mybody is feeling. Learned new things thou. I'm definitely following this guy
Keeping it short - 1) Overhand grip, medium grip lat pull downs 2) Underhand grip machine pull downs / rows 3) T- Bar Rows - bent 45 - 60 degrees 4) Underhand grip smith machine rows 5) Underhand grip seated cable rows. Have optimal mind muscle connection, Pull with the elbows rather than wrists forearms and biceps, increase intensity through shorter rest periods, slow negatives, squeeze and hold, and train till failure all while using moderate weights (Resistance). No excessive swinging, No excessive back leans. Feeling the muscle and applying constant tension is key !!
Would love more videos like this for the rest of the body. And something you don't see too often is if your movements, how much you go to failure, how much weight you use, volume or reps change when your cutting.
I really appreciate this, I tore my pectoral, partial tear 9 months ago been at the gym hard for 2 months and making Pretty good gains by not focusing too much on how much weight I'm moving I found that too frustrating. Instead I focused on my form and keeping my pace up, light weights. and focused on squeezing the muscle I was working activating the muscle. Anyways. Appreciate This.
As is always the case, Fouad shares his knowledge as a professional bodybuilder so that the masses gain insight into proper training techniques. Information is not only relevant, but also concise so that all levels of fitness enthusiast from the novice to the pro, has the ability to add to his or her arsenal.
First time i subscribe for a channel. Cause you a real one fouad. Thanks for providing real content in this fony UA-cam world. Greatings from the Netherlands, Ismail
Mate I follow John Meadows who has an amazing breadth of knowledge but its fantastic to see how you have interpreted and evolved from John’s influences. Love your channel, props to you bro 👍
Been watching you for a while now. Great content ! Really enjoy your attitude and willing to teach instead of giving a forceful lecture. Keep it up brother!!!
I like strength training powerlifting or strongman etc but between eddie halls and your advice I feel like I'm gonna end up an absolute monster in a few years. Im still finding out what exercises I'm more suited to but learning from the best helps alot thanks for the tips in your videos.
I love these videos, I am making mental notes all the way. The information you provide is so good, really helpful. I am taking everything on board and going to incorporate them into my own training . Thank you ! if only my gym would play your videos in the background, so many people would benefit straight away !!!
Awesome videos man. 2 of the tips you gave really improved the quality of my lat training. Thanks dude, keep making these videos, hell, all of your videos kick ass. Best bodybuilding UA-cam channel I’ve seen
Can I hit a like to give it 10 likes. I love how he tells the truth and doesn't suger coat it. He's the reason I went back to the gym. I'll never be the size of him, but I'm in better shape than I've been in years. Thank you Fouad.
This dude has my respect, cause everything that he is saying and demonstrating is correct. Finally a real dude without the bs. Take his advice cause UA-cam want keep him long cause he's true and not bs
The point on using smith machine, 100% effective. I can even use lighter weight but get more proper reps in that really taxes my back. Thank you once again fouad!
Great content I have arthritis in my shoulder and scoliosis in my back. Once my shoulder messed up I had too lower the weight considerably. I had too find ways around my injuries because I love too train it’s therapy. Your exactly right just raise the intensity and find other ways too work the muscle without the heavy weight.
Amazing! I needed this video and now I know what I have been doing wrong. While of course I experience growth in the back and width in the lats, it is now clear that I was rowing higher (I have longer torso, body and shorter arms compared to my height,,, 5'10"-5'11"). Thanks a lot Fuad! Edit: The smith machine is my favorite for many exercises when I have no training partner: Inclined chest press, chest press, front delt press, side delt back press, barbell rows. Man, I learned from your channel a LOT more than I learned during my entire life about bodybuilding. Keep posting these videos
this was a good video to watch man, explains alot about why i've been building a way bigger upper back and not a lower back... im def gunna make some cahnges and see how it works for me! appreciate it! throw more of these up man they are great
A good way for weaker/newer guys to do Barbell rows is use an EZ Curl bar. I would use an underhand grip and with the bend in the bar it was more comfortable then a total underhand grip on my wrists and bad shoulder. It’s also obviously a lighter bar. I would use the preacher curl for my loading and unloading rack. I could load up to a couple hundred lbs before the bar was bending too much. At that point your more then strong enough to move onto a regular Barbell. Another tip is use a 5 ft straight bar or even an aluminum “technique” bar. I also use the EZ Curl cable attachment for underhand pull downs and underhand cable rows .
Unbelievably underrated Channel.
I was about to say the same thing! This guy knows his shit!
That's because he's CDN (I am too) and his name isn't Mike O'Hearn. the most informative back workout I HAVE EVER HEARD. Thank you.
