I installed the ZZP headers they are more expensive , but not too bad with their military discount and overall a better header and it fits better. Ditched the EGR valve and deleted it. Ran into the same problem with the dip stick tube. Had to go to the junk yard to get 2 dipstick tubes and finally got one to fit with a little heat in the vice and twisting and turning. They been on now about 4 years and no problems. Initially had the short stack IC with a 3.2 pulley but was still getting some KR while running it hard and went with the Stage 2 IC and no KR now. I think ZZP is phasing out their 3800 platform. They are not restocking many parts when their stock runs out. Recently went to buy 40# Siemens injectors and they are out and have no plans to restock them, tried to sell me 80# but that was overkill so went to Intense Racing and got them
$1100 for the ZZP headers now vs $170 for the Speed Daddy. I know they aren’t good, but I have fixed the rear one and put the flex pipe on V-bands for east replacement. ZZP is still making most 3800 parts, but you are right. Not as many as they used to. I was able to get what I needed for an engine build. They are lacking in transmission options for higher horsepower builds though.
Nosekills_ No, it runs great. I’ve done many other mods to it also. My best 1/4 mile time is 13.1 sec. Its still a great daily driver also. Check out my other videos about the Buick. Subscribe so you don’t miss our adventures with it this summer at Rocky Mountain Race Week
Considering i spent 2 hours yesterday trying to get my back manifold and cat off this is gonna be interasting😂 im putting them on a 3800 buick lucerne cx turning it into a sleeper
The flex joint ripped apart on my headers already. I cut the flex joint out last night. I’m welding in a 45* elbow and putting a flex joint on the horizontal just behind the header.I wouldn’t recommend Speed Daddy style headers.
Great content 👌
No too much information on internet that tells you all the headache and solutions in the same video.
Great job 👍👍👍

thanks, appreciate the tips.... did it end up running hotter or cause any other issues?
