Stock pulley diameter is 3.6 IIRC. You can pulley down to 3.4 once you do the intake, headers, exhaust and a custom tune. Need to do a custom tune because no two L67s are the same. If you do injector and cam work, you should be able to pulley down to a 3.2. The best mod is installing an intercooler. You can average 50hp gains and have almost zero KR. Fuck it I'll take a GM Performance Engine over any other engine and the platforms in some cases outperform the European Elite asshole brands! The biggest problem is Americans don't like to service their Transmissions at a 30000 mile interval because they think everything should last forever therefore in one of these cars if you don't service the transmission it will go out at around 200,000 miles other than that it would last pretty much forever just like the engine
This was an industry-wide problem; I was just replacing the drivers-side inner door handle on my kids 99' Camry-- the thing just snapped in half. It is of course cheap beige plastic, as is the rest of the interior. Now while I say this was common across the entire auto industry in the 80's & especially the 90's- where domestic vehicles used cheap plastic interiors, they also suffered from poor fitment; large gaps, squeaks & rattles, etc... Japanese vehicles used the same cheap miles of beige plastic, the major difference being that all the pieces were well fit with no gaps, and time was spent ensuring no rattles or squeaks would occur.

It is actuated by vacuum so you will feel the blower once you are on it. You can bypass the valve at the vacuum lines (I had to do this when I broke mine by accident), the car will jump and buck since the blower is always on, kind of annoying. -If you get a smaller pulley, most can get away with opening the exhaust, a colder intake, and tuning for no knock. An intercooler will help quite a bit and does not cost that much, but larger injectors are almost never needed. -Most people tune their own with DHP or HP tuners, you don't have to "know a guy" unless you do not want to undertake tuning (which is not that hard these days).

i had a couple of GTP's in the past. i am GOING to buy another L67 car. i came across a guy that collects them. he has for sale a 2001 GTP with 100K miles minimal rust (PA car), or a 2001 bonneville SSEi with 55K california car NO rust. bonneville SSEi vs. GTP 4 door ( i have kids i want a 4 door anyways) which one?
My 2012 Subaru STi has a 'real blinker' too. No speaker or anything. Pulled the relay to replace it with a modified one for LED turn signals plus that highway one-touch-lane-change business. On another note ughhh GM "leather" and plastic from this era are just the worst. I had an '87 Volvo 740 Turbo with leather and it was 13 years old when this car was brand new and the interior was in nicer shape. Also managed 165 hp and 185 lb-ft from a 2.3 L 4-cylinder.
Friend in high school had the Pontiac Grand Prix GTP 2 door version. Same supercharged engine, same w-body chassis. Great looking car but man was the interior a joke in terms of build quality. As I've gotten older, I like the Buick Regal version a lot more, the Grand Prix is kind of tacky now days, especially the interior. The Buick has no sense of style, so I can't really call it tacky, bad, good or dated. Plus the interior is WAY nicer than the Grand Prix, it rides nicer and has a lot more sound insulation. Great highway car, lots of power to cut people off or drive 90mph up a mountain grade if you want to be a dick lol.
Hehe.. These superchargers typically only boost under load.. I have a cammed 3800sc in my 88' Fiero with a Ferrari rebody.. It pulls wheelies rips 0 to 60mph in 2.8 seconds and 11.3 in the quarter mile..
buckets of rust just go look at all the existing videos..... you even see gtps ru. 13s on 3.4 pulleys..... 11s with wheelies is more than believable in a fiero ..... i bet it could do 13.00 and wheelies with a stock pulley on drag tires....
Mr. Regular.. i would really really love to see you reviving regular cars lets say from Russia, eastern block of europe. etc. Like a Skoda 120, it motorized even finland.. Lada 2101.. Really deviates from the us, and i don't know if it is avaitable anywhere around US.. maybe you could try
lol the passenger clearly knows nothing about the car or superchargers...... The bypass valve used to divert the air away from the intake manifold is vaccume actuated you dint need highway speeds to use the boost just 1/4-1/2 throttle...... Annother point it doesnt need it till higher up 🤪. Also false superchargers are used for lower end torque and boost is usually equal throughout rpm range since there is no turbine spooling up !!! This video is just garbage the inly good about it is the car and when he punches it....
My head hurt so much watching this mainly from the car owner lmfao he should know more about his own damn car lmfao I'm running full Bolt ons smaller pully 3.5 from the stock 3.8 and base tune on 93 so should be high 200hp and mid to higher 300tq. But bone stock or modded right when you go full throttle whatever rpm ur gonna get boost idk wtf this guy is talking about
...really? It even has the similar hood release location, dash layout and general interior as a Mazda Millenia? WTF Buick, seriously. Regal looks like a Chinese copy (a quality one, but still).
ya.... the century/regal is a cheap plastic POS but it does make it EASY to work on.... and light weight i can have a window regulator or my radio and instrument cluster out in 10 mins it all just pops together, and a few parts have screws their is an access hatch under the rear seat for the fuel pump..... rear seat needs no tools to remove just two latches the whole dash "frame" is glass fiber reinforced nylon.... light weight, yet still pretty strong the doors only have a single piece of metal tubing for side impacts..... dont get T-boned in this car.... your fucked yet.... its light weight idk.... im use to ratty old interiors.... my first car had dicks and boobs drawn on the head liner... and a LOTTA white stains in the back seat... i do all the work on my car my self.... so, ill take a few squeaks and rattles for easy to get at things and a better handling/more fuel efficient car everything you actually touch feels pretty good...seats, arm rests so they at least tried to make it OK

Georgia is one of them.
i had a couple of GTP's in the past. i am GOING to buy another L67 car. i came across a guy that collects them. he has for sale a 2001 GTP with 100K miles minimal rust (PA car), or a 2001 bonneville SSEi with 55K california car NO rust.
bonneville SSEi vs. GTP 4 door ( i have kids i want a 4 door anyways)
which one?
My factory gauge worked, but that was back in 04.
Just got one today, it’s fun 😂 1600$ 166k miles
What model year is this car
Chrysler 300m test
Good idea
They're all in the junkyard
You have to jab the gas to get the boost going
What part of indiana where u in? Im from Indianapolis
The supercharger will do what it's supposed to if you use your right foot
That’s dope that u came here lmao I’m from northwest Indiana
I have a 91 regal coupe with l67 (this engine) swap
That incessant blinker would drive me crazy
wooo wooo, repping Indiana!
Ravenshade666 yeah those don’t exist here sorry
@@anglegrinder they actually do, but you can not call it regular :D i guess we need another mr. regular :D
3:35 Come to northeast Ohio and drive my 03 Matrix XRS
the supercharger doesn't kick in at low speeds.
What supercharger did these have on them? The Eaton m62? Or the Eaton m90? I have a m62 on my cobalt ss/sc.
HITMIX HYEPOCK m90 gen 3, some of the gtp’s came later with the gen v tho and that’s a popular swap
Eaton M90 Gen III for almost every S2 3800. S1 L67s had the M62, and the Grand Prixs of '04 had the Gen V M90.
These use the Eaton m90 with a stock 3.8 inch pulley.
9:35 It's not me, but it's definitely something I'd do.
"Mr. Regular drives Tony Hinchcliffe's Buick"
Indiana! Nice 👍🏻
Yes please
U ever drove a 2000-2005 Pontiac Bonneville?
CJ Morales ssei?
Any trim
I drove a base bonneville but ive always wanted to drive an ssei or gxp
need to run enthonal with a smaller pulley? tf this guy is really uninformed
im running a 3.4 pulley and supporting mods with pump gas bro, you dont need e85 to mod a 3800 imao
I have the ls with a shit load of problems. The power steering whines like a bitch. So everyone thinks I drive a gs. But I dont. Regal problems.
Buick reggggaaaaallllllllllllllll
Fucking Indiana boys right on.
Hey that regal could had smoked that VW and yes you would had look like a prune
So Aziz Ansari owns a Buick?
OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH NO
Indiana oh yes lol my state
It's not a manual....
HORRIBLE cupholder design
RIGHT ABOUT THE FRONT CUPHOLDER I ONLY USE THE BACK CUPHOLDERS NOW. I'VE BROKEN MY FRONT ONES 5 TIMES AND ALWAYS SPILLED DRINKS
Love fake boost gage
lol the passenger clearly knows nothing about the car or superchargers......
But bone stock or modded right when you go full throttle whatever rpm ur gonna get boost idk wtf this guy is talking about
A Regal ain't a Regal witout some 34s on it playa...
Anything else is just a Buick. ✊
PAKTRA PRODUCTIONS stfu ya donk
@@anglegrinder 🤣
No, Regal's are usually found in auction lots and trailer parks. Now, the Caprice? That's the prime donk material.
Ew.
No need for ethanol in this car. He doesn’t now much about this car or modding it.
...really? It even has the similar hood release location, dash layout and general interior as a Mazda Millenia? WTF Buick, seriously. Regal looks like a Chinese copy (a quality one, but still).
It was really hard to listen to the car’s owner
You are good looking
Damn this dude is lost
One question: Why?
Coolio
Veeee sixxxxx
ya.... the century/regal is a cheap plastic POS
but it does make it EASY to work on.... and light weight
i can have a window regulator or my radio and instrument cluster out in 10 mins
it all just pops together, and a few parts have screws
their is an access hatch under the rear seat for the fuel pump..... rear seat needs no tools to remove just two latches
the whole dash "frame" is glass fiber reinforced nylon.... light weight, yet still pretty strong
the doors only have a single piece of metal tubing for side impacts..... dont get T-boned in this car.... your fucked
yet.... its light weight
idk.... im use to ratty old interiors....
my first car had dicks and boobs drawn on the head liner... and a LOTTA white stains in the back seat...
i do all the work on my car my self.... so, ill take a few squeaks and rattles for easy to get at things and a better handling/more fuel efficient car
everything you actually touch feels pretty good...seats, arm rests
so they at least tried to make it OK
