This was one of the best bands ever. I saw them live, and it was like watching the Beatles perform "Sgt Pepper" or "Magical Mystery Tour." Incomparable band chemistry, they can all sing, and obviously some of the top writers of past decades.
Actually in love with this song + band! So chilled + cool! Their music totally speaks for itself, they don't need to do anything else to make it better.
Anyone else notice Ed's sound module or effects hardware fall to the ground at about 4:52? Must have been that thick bass Chris Taylor was laying down.
Jesus H. Christopher I love this song unconditionally. And you know what? Chris Taylor needs to be singing more in all the new stuff, he's great. Listen to his solo project, CANT.
That's not a Fender Mustang either. It has nothing to do with a Fender. Check out the headstock, the body shape and the pickups. The logo on the stock looks like a Stagg, but I'm not sure what model.
wow grizzly bear listeners really understand music...wow im so happy to see this demographic still exists. id suggest you my own band, but the only stuff we have recorded is poor quality..... if only you lived in the GTA (toronto area). oh well... #BramptonRises...google...you'll be happy you did...
Usually bands lower the keys and/or slow down songs so its easier for the singer to sing well. maybe he is sick, or has a throat ache or whatever, sometimes they dont wanna hurt their voice.

The breathing drums. Perfect balance with this relieving, sad song. Beautiful.

That is Aaron Arntz. They hired him for live performances to fill in the gaps. He's really good. I believe he is also the key player for Edward Sharpe

What kind of guitar is Daniel playing?
looks like a vintage Guild
Is that ride a "Dream"? i really would like to know.
I dont think it's any different, I just think it's quite low in the mix and there is less overdrive and reverb.
It's not a Fender Jaguar. I'm not sure what model it is, though.
For me it reminds me more that part from I Might Be Wrong were the guitar plays Em-D-C-Bm-Am kkkk Bye

Probaly a vintage cheap bass, maybe a kay,a silvertone or a Carvin. It's a sweet bass indeed.
Right?
What bass is he playing? Never seen it's like.
What the fuck just happen? woah... This song cured my aids..thank you Grizzly Bear.
So goog
What kind of bass is Taylor's new one?

Daniel's guitar tho
Why do they lower the key of their songs live? Aye..
wow grizzly bear listeners really understand music...wow im so happy to see this demographic still exists. id suggest you my own band, but the only stuff we have recorded is poor quality..... if only you lived in the GTA (toronto area). oh well... #BramptonRises...google...you'll be happy you did...

Your comment made me violently smile. If that's even possible...

That guy needs more keyboards.
the singers family co-founded hooters
Chords..
Probably so they don't have such a hard time singing them.

Your Comment got me Pregnant :)
Chris is sooo germanic. no wonder...
Ya guitar needs to be turned up to match the piano
no.
i dont like the guitar sound in this, prefer the studio version.
As much as I love Grizzly Bear, this song just loses its intensity with a lowered tone.
I dunno about ugly, they definitely don't dress themselves up or jump around though
disappointed
wait....this is grizzly bear? Ugly as hell and a lisp? COOL!!!!!!
Awesome!!!
