They Really Really are. They created their own genre almost. Criminally underrated. The best band of the last 20 years in my opinion. And this Masterpiece has just 83k views and in a time of Nothing but shit. I don't understand it, we'll I do but.... :-/
stepsinred I know, I've been waiting for them to come back to the east coast! I saw Shields in PA and it was incredible. I would love to see them in a bigger venue playing this song. It would probably melt my skin off and turn my eyes to raisins.
I just saw them in DC. it is so surreal live, they are masters of sound levels and how their music "comes off" in a room. They ended their set with this song. I turned to my friends and said "This is their Pink Floyd song" they didn't know what I was talking about. As soon as that middle section comes about and they go DEAD SILENT i looked over and saw the smiles on my friends' faces. They are easily a top 5 live band for me
This song, especially this performance, makes me stop what im doing and just listen. This is real music if it makes you feel something. Thank you grizzly bear!
This song represents some complicated days I've had in my life, but that's not bad. Now I'm able to listen to it with joy. We need to trust in ourselves no matter what. Better days will come! Much love for GB and for you, folks.
I have been in recovery for 4 years. I have been dating a guy for 3.5 years but I just broke up with my him because he cannot stay sober, I am not mad at him I get it I struggled for years. This song however sums up the entire situation. "You've fallen once, you'll fall again, and lean on, your tired hands that crawl and grasp, the soft ground, by the look on your face, you set out on a path, never to arrive, by the look on your face, the burden's on your back" I hope he gets sober for himself, but I can't keep holding on. "The look on your face, burden's on your back, sun is in your eyes, stretched out, far and wide, the light that scorched the sand, so bright, so long, I'm never coming back, So bright, so long, I'm never coming back"
The only time I saw Grizzly Bear live was back in 2013, at that time I was able hear this absolutely mind blowing song ... but after that, they never came back to Buenos Aires. I Hope they come back someday. I NEED IT 😢
I was watching the full 2 hour live performance at 2:am to listen to more of their music I haven't listened to yet. I was getting really tired towards the end ready to fall asleep, but as soon as they began to play this song as their last one before the encore, I immediately forced my self to stay up due to the irresistible sound, and this became one of my most favorited song from the live performance and Grizzly Bear in general, glad I pushed through the drowsiness
I was listening to this song while I was on Acid and gosh it took me to such a beautiful place in my mind and heart. The song spoke to me and told me that all that I wanted/needed are already here for me, I just need to be grateful, patient and open to receive it from the universe. Peace and Love ✨
Dreamed about seeing this song live since I first heard it in 2012. Saw it last Saturday when it was the closing encore at their Dallas show. Such a dream, so powerful

Think they are Istanbul Agop Signature for most of them (ride, crash, hi-hat). A very sandy, crisp and warm sound. they're the best., especially for the environment he plays in.
Is it just me or is this performance actually better than the studio version? I heard this first and now the recorded one just sounds a little underwhelming.

Chris Bear has to be the most underrated drummer of all time, dude kills it
he's amazing!
Thank you!
And he looks like my kid brother. I can get over the resemblance!
His training as a jazz drummer is a big part of his brilliance. If you can cut it as a jazz drummer, you can slay at any other style of drumming.
@@kathifuller5332 I had no idea of his jazz background but it makes sense. His percussion style is really great.
The most underappreciated band ever.
They Really Really are. They created their own genre almost.

why? they are great I saw them live twice, I think lot of people loves them also critically aclaimed by p4k
No fucking doubt about it.
Im 60, my 24 yr old son got me into this. One of the best live bands ive ever heard and ive seen alot of concerts
Daniel Rossen freakin' KILLS IT. Seeing them live was like being on the best ecstasy.. best band on earth without a doubt.

indeed
100
Bravo to all of the engineers involved in this recording. For me Ed Droste's vocals are incredible. He resonates that reverb perfectly.
Chris bear-most under rated drummer of the 21st century
This is such a magical song. They are all super talented, but Christopher Bear is on another level.
To go from this to Painted Ruins they are undoubtedly one of the best on the planet. So consistent.
EXACTLY
Shields is one of my favourite albums and this is my favourite song on it. It's an amazing piece of work
This song, especially this performance, makes me stop what im doing and just listen. This is real music if it makes you feel something. Thank you grizzly bear!

I am so glad I was able to see them play live around this time.
literally flawless performances. those vocals....ughhhh. amazing
Great band, excelent song, hope they could make it to south america one day
Back in the day we called this progressive rock. This is on par with Genesis, Rush, Yes. Genius.
Having a beer in Pontiac Michigan and I hear this song for the first time. What an unbelievable song!
Gravel biking in remote california literally with sun in my eyes hearing this in my earbuds was worth coming to earth for.
what an absolutely beautiful voice
This was literally so incredible
Dreamed about seeing this song live since I first heard it in 2012. Saw it last Saturday when it was the closing encore at their Dallas show. Such a dream, so powerful
LEGENDARY
Love this band so much

Holy shit. This song. Every time. 🤯
I was there and will be again next year.
this is like the best video on youtube
Wow, so moving
Just saw them perform this in San Francisco at the Warfield. This is one of their best songs!
So awesome :))))))
I heard this song in a documentary about Snowboarding 🏂. Gives me the chills 🌺💚. Took me so long to find it.
What documentary? Feel like this song would be sick to some snowboarding footage. I'd love to see it
Andrew Frank it’s called the Crash Reel about Kevin Pearce’s accident. Fantastic Doc
You've fallen once you'll fall again
And lean on
Your tired hands that crawl and grasp
The soft ground
By the look on your face
You set out on a path
Never to arrive
By the look on your face
The burden's on your back
And the sun is in your eyes
Stretched out far and wide
The light that scorched the sand
So bright so long
I'm never coming back
And every stone and every step
I won't recall
Emptied out of every thought
Just soft ground
By the look on your face
The burden's on your back
And the sun is in your eyes
Gone at last
Stretched out
Far and wide
The light that scorched the sand
So bright so long
I'm never coming back
It overflows
It overflows
It always runs
It overflows
It overflows
It always runs
Silver and silent
Endless abundance overflows
Silver and silent rushing on
Endless abundance overflows
Always surrounds you always glows
Look on your face
Burden's on your back
Sun is in your eyes
Stretched out
Far and wide
The light that scorched the sand
So bright so long
I'm never coming back
Sublime

Who else thinks this performance is perfectly mixed?
Kevin pearce's crash reel documentary brought me here. Very touching song.
Gias1 best movie ive ever watched
I knew the song before. In the documentary, it made me ball
Spotify when I find a similar band to "Tame Impala" very unrelated but found grizzly bear there
Grizzly Bear and Tame Impala are 2 of my ultimate favorites :)

Me encantaaaaaaaaa
+Marbelis Rivero hey yo tambien amo esta banda!! eh visto este video miles de veces *.*
Amazing night
Was there.
Addictive.
Anyone know where the entire recording went from the Opera house gig from which this clip is from? This was incredible....
You can find it on Vimeo; though the it’s broken up into individual videos.
great song, they shoulda made it way bigger.
Is anyone else troubled by how still the crowd is?
Reminds me of Radiohead which I know that Grizzly Bear is the American Radiohead .. they are becoming my favorite band
I saw Radiohead in 2008 and Grizzly Bear opened for them. :)
DR G, noooooo! They are so much better than Radiohead, and they don't have a lead vocalist with a little man complex like Thom Yorke.
...the Organic Radiohead...
Full concert?
Does anyone knows what cymbals is Chris using?
Think they are Istanbul Agop Signature for most of them (ride, crash, hi-hat). A very sandy, crisp and warm sound. they're the best., especially for the environment he plays in.
@@jigo13 thanks! Hoperully one day we'll know more about this beast. It's a pity he's kinda unknown
they are.
holy FUCKIN SHIT
Is it just me or is this performance actually better than the studio version?
I heard this first and now the recorded one just sounds a little underwhelming.
Fuck me. That was epic.
crosby stills vibes with their own character.
HOW ARE PEOPLE JUST STANDING THERE
They're sitting in their seats
Its a seated Opera House
They're petrified by the beauty
would be a sick hip-hop sample omg... but amazing though
