Yeah, and when Emma loses a sock and Ross and Rachel try to tell her to pick it up, but she doesn't get it, so Phoebe screams at her to "pick up the sock!!!"
Worst characters were Lisa and Matt.
Rachel's reply is the highlight of this scene.

Being a mother myself I think Rachel was just being rational.
I don't have any kids but i can still see this situation being terribly scary!! I would freak out too. The difference is my husband would've kicked the door in 😂
In the first few months post-partum, a mother is on high alert for danger: it’s an evolutionary thing. Your baby is vulnerable and dependent on you. Your instincts are to protect your baby.
It’s common for new mothers to develop a fear of flying when they have never had such a fear before. Or driving. Every day things they have done thousands of times now give them crippling anxiety.
People know about Postpartum Depression, but Postpartum Anxiety and Postpartum OCD are also very common.
So I know it’s a light TV comedy, but if they were a real couple I wouldn’t appreciate Ross belittling Rachel’s anxiety. Just be rational and reassuring without mocking her.
This is one of my favourite friends scenes never fails to make me laugh no matter how many times I watch it.

What a wus she is!! My infant child got locked inside when my older child stepped out on the porch behind me, pulling the door shut. I immediately had mommy panic, and hurled myself against the door, busting it open and tearing a long section of door frame right off.
this is New York. Maybe they have secure doors? When my children were small, I had a car, which did not automatically lock doors, just the stupid trunk. In the summer, when other cars removed their roof, I stopped closing my windows.
ross begs and begs her for years. now he gets her pregnant and they have a baby and every line is a put down.

Rachel panicking over an invisible baby we never saw. I don't think the audience started seeing Emma until she was a toddler. These two had to be the worst parents. Ross never saw Ben once Emma was born.
