I find it really adorable. Not just Rachel, but Phoebe’s friends were so supportive. Ross may have arguments with Phoebe but he still is a good friend to her.

Instead of forcing the information on Joey when he doesn't want to 'keep' any more secret, Rachel not so subtly try to let Joey 'stumble' into the secret himselves, which I think is clever and considerate of her.
This episode should have been called "The one with all the knows."

i wonder if i'm one of the few people who doesn't mind gossip. Sure a line should be drawn somewhere, and obviously it shouldn't devolve into straight up shit talking and/or slandering behind someone's back but I don't find anything wrong with the general idea of talking about the other people in your life. Funny thing is, i am not much of a gossip myself, but then again, i'm not much of a talker in general.
Gossip is generally considered the sharing of private information about people with others they would rather not have had shared with others (negative, or extremely private/embarrassing things). It's not sharing the general "goings on" in people's lives.
I too is fine with gossip, that's where i find out what people talk about me behind my back and knew who are the people to avoid. Gossip is how i found out my ex cheated on me multiple times. The boundaries i set when it comes to gossip is that the person themselves should be the one who had heard or seen it because sometimes people be changing what was told.
Gossip can lead to all types of unnecessary drama. It's not a good thing to do at all, and people have way to much going on in their own lives. To be worried about what is going on in someone else's life. Fix your own mess.
I generally agree with you, but you got to meet my mother-in-law. She's a queen of gossiping. The way she is constantly asking you about different people... ugh... Their relationships, illnesses, daily life, beliefs... She just treats them as a interesting topics, not humans.
She doesn't really ask about the most private things, but she wants to know so much about their... (I don't know how to call that), average life information, that it is sooo... frustrating, when she keeps asking "Is he seeing someone by now?", "She is still working there?", "Oooh, so he wants to move out?", "Do you have any news about her mother?" ect. It maybe seem harmless, in some cases even sweet, but it is not caring about them, but rather seeking for spicy news.
So, to conclude: you can ask quite normal, unharmful question and still be gossiping. I'd say that intentions play a huge role in here. For example: You can talk about someone being ill just because you are worried and want to talk about it, or you can talk about the same thing with the same people, but turn it just into spicy gossiping. That's a hell of a difference.

Walls in Friends works in mysterious ways, one day you can hear a couple taking a break through the walls and one day you can hear two couples making love to each other and other days they are like soundproof walls.
Coz it's a sitcom and if you start overanalyzing such stuff like a documentary you're losing it.

To be fair they talked in a weird code half the time, and Chandler and Monica have done things stranger than sex: the jellyfish incident. So when Rachel was going on about Chandler and Monica, it wasn't a given.

After they came back from London at the start of a new season, the show turned a cusp and became far more funny and slapstick then before that. It's as if the writers transformed the show and their characters had more definition than before. It all changed quite obviously too. You just laughed more at each show than you did the first four seasons.
Nah it got less clever... Episodes based around characters doing something for only that episode like chandler not crying, chandler not liking dogs, Joey learning French, Rachel gossiping
@@hornylorney8150 I personally like it more when episodes are somewhat unrelated because I can come back to an episode to rewatch it without worrying about not remembering what happened before. And I used to binge watch an entire season in a day off and come back to start the new one few weeks later

Nah I prefer the the first four seasons tbh. But the fifth season is definitely the funniest because there's multiple things happening but later on it just went down hill
