For most people it's a show. For me it's a gift from God that helped me get through the darkest phase of my life. Friends gave me my life back. It may sound like an exaggeration but it's really not
It's weird how much they changed Chandlers dynamic with the girls. In the earlier seasons he was so close with them. He was always doing something with Phoebe, had random lunches with Rachel, getting their nails done, always talking about his relationships ... he was "one of the girls" more than Joey was and they both clearly valued him as a friend. After he got together with Monica, they would always subtly (or not) imply that Monica could do better (he's literally good looking, smart, caring, funny and with stable career, so idk why). His only plot with Phoebe is buying the ring and his only plot with Rachel is the cheesecake. It's like he's suddenly not their friend, but just Monicas husband they don't even like that much. I really hated that change Edit: I just realized how much this could be fixed if they actually DID have Phoebe ask him to walk her down the isle, rather than "Oh, Joey isn't an option, Ross isn't either so I guess it has to be Chandler" but they didn't. Just like they made sure to tell us that he didn't actually ASK HER to help him with the ring. She just happened to see him, so he had to tell her. I miss the time when they would sing "My Endless Love" together
Yes I hated that. Escpeilly since Matthew himself was saying how he couldn’t believe people bought that he could marry someone as beautiful as Courtney Cox. He severely underestimates himself and so does everyone else. Because I honestly don’t see the thing he’s lacking that making it so comical to be with Monica. It is a huge reason why I started to dislike Phoebe In the later seasons, she was more sweeter and funny about other stuff but she just starts ripping into him and their marriage everytime she got the chance. Even Rachel and Joey too. To me it’s really not that funny to push him out the door when he’s saying goodbye to his wife like he hasn’t been everyone’s bff for almost a decade. And bringing someone to sabotage his marriage just for the fun of it.
Nice observation. They changed a lot of things. I think they also made Joey a lot dumber and Ross a lot more neurotic. While in earlier seasons Ross was this Harlequin-isque romantic lead and Joey was an unattainable Hunk.
@tigerroaring Good eye 👁. I noticed that as well. It's so obvious Rachel and Phoebe were jealous. Rachel was always dating toxic men, and Phoebes relationships lasted about as long as Joey's one night stands. Monica and Chandler basically had what they both wanted.
@@tigerroaringThey also made Monica more of a caricature. In the early seasons Monica was calm, classy, elegant and pretty. She was like a mother figure to Rachel teaching her how to function and she was the glue for the whole group. As the show continued and she got together with Chandler she became louder, more bossy, annoying and over the top. They were a healthy couple but also boring to watch, Chandler stopped being funny and became a bit dull and overpowered by Monica.
"Luckylly the guy she's settled with can't hear what you're talking". I can relate. Sometimes, people can be so insensitive. (Or maybe they do it in purpose to hurt your feeling)
The best moment in this whole storyline is later on in the episode when Monica asks if Chandler believes in soulmates and Chandler answers “no, but I’m sure ‘to-MAH-toes’ does,” imitating this guy’s accent.
Phoebe being insensitive to Chandler in early season too like in episode she work with Chandler and said everyone hate him, so yeah she always been that random even in earlier season

She continued hanging out at Joey or Ross’s apartments like a teenager yet felt entitled to be mean to Chandler and Monica who were trying to live like adults. I feel they did Monica’s character an injustice. She and Chandler were the anchors and they shouldn’t have messed with her so much. Phoebe was worse than ever and Ross never really improved in any way. That honestly bothered me so much. I really wish the show had provided an explanation for why Phoebe absolutely despised Monica and Chandler's relationship but was an absolute die hard Ross and Rachel shipper
What I really don’t like about this scene is how Rachel and Phoebe are so incredibly insensitive to Chandler. When Chandler asked, “don’t think there’s someone out there better suited for Monica than me, do ya?” Rachel unsubtly seemed to disagree and dodged his question. Seriously, Rachel? You don’t think Chandler is good enough for Monica? He was the only guy who kept a successful relationship with her by this point and had actually grew out of his fear of commitment to ask for her hand in marriage her for crying out loud! Also why were Rachel and Phoebe discussing Monica’s soulmate right in front of Chandler, with Rachel even quoting, "It's a shame they never had a chance to meet". Are you, kidding guys?! You don’t know how incredibly insensitive your being towards one of your best friends?! And who are you two to judge since you both failed to establish successful relationships by this point? Monica and Chandler are clearly happy together and you guys suggesting that there is a man better suited for Monica with Chandler in the room is just awful and is a betrayal to one of your close friends.
Sometimes Phoebe and Rachel can be so insensitive; this isn’t the only time. Rachel brings up Judy’s comment that she’s “the daughter she never had” right in front of Monica, and then when Monica reacts in shock, Phoebe repeats the words, drilling the pain into Monica even further. What kinds of friends do that????
Phoebe is just the worst in the later seasons. The original kind and innocent Phoebe of seasons 1 and 2 would never act like this. To me her writting got the biggest drop in quality of them all along side Joey's intelligence. Truly hated her from season's 6-10
As a kid you enjoyed the show and the characters. But as an adult you start to see how, Pheobe was really a terrible friend, she used her past to gaslight her friends all the time, she always attacked her friends' insecurities(this clip is the perfect example) she always put them in very awkward positions too.

This episode proves Phoebe is just an awful friend. Imagine your so called friend came over and said to you I think this guy is a way better fit than you are for your wife 😂
I couldn't agree more. I don't find any humor in this, and I think Phoebe is an absolute jealous *itch who just wanted to ruin their relationship from the start. She was my least favorite character. There are some things that just aren't funny, and trying to wreck your friend's marriage is one of them.
Joey was the best, I don't like Ross, he even stole Charlie from Joey and Chandler dated a fuel Joey dates and Joey was fine with it and here we have Ross who doesn't care about anyone, I found the Ross and Rachel thing really toxic
To be fair, they were all MUCH closer to Joey than they were her random sister she saw once in 10 years. And also Ross literally said he would never have gone out with Rachel's sister except that it had been Rachel's idea. And he said it was so selfless of Rachel to do that he wished he had a brother so he could reciprocate and set them up. Then as soon as Rachel told him that she actually wasn't okay with it, he agreed to no longer date her. Sure, Ross has his faults, but I swear people have such selective memory with him sometimes to make him seem even worse.
@@KMCB12 oh, no..I remember all of that... I rewatch friends all the time. But let's be honest here (even though we're sitting here debating about a fictional character) Ross was the absolute worst character. He was insecure and whined so much.(yes, I get carol cheated on him blah blah 🙄) but HE ruined his relationship with Rachel. HE went to her job with that picnic like her job didn't matter. HE DID go out by with her sister regardless of her saying it was ok, it wasn't and he still did it. That's her sister! 🙄 as lovable as Ross was outside of a relationship, he was horribly toxic. I mean, try to remember he even left Rachel hanging when she just had his baby, because he met a nurse in the hospital. Regardless, Ross and Rachel were not relationship "goals" their entire storyline was stupid after the writers broke them up. I mean, even having Rachel saying yes to Joey because of the conversation she has with Janice got in her head🙄 just stupid!!!! But hey 😆 🤷🏽♀️ I still stand by Ross being the worst character and Monica was equally horrible.
True!! Sister will always be a sister..a blood relative. Much higher status than a close friend and Ross chose to date her and he has audacity to be mad at Rachel and Joey while still dating multiple girls throughout her pregnancy. He indeed was a toxic person.

😕 I get Phoebe didn't know Monica and Chandler weren't going to be at the coffee house but she could have suggested her and Don take their coffee to the park or walk around or go away from them since she thinks he's Monica's soul mate and does nothing to ease Chandler's paranoia while Don and Monica are bonding.

Phoebe is so disgusting. Not only she is a hypocrite (Rachel and the massage gift certificate) and pathological liar (the cellphone she and Rachel found, the lottery tickets she dropped, etc.), she cunningly attempts to ruin Monica and Chandler's relationship and has no qualms about it. When Chandler chides her, she insensitively says "Oh, don't worry. We'll find you somebody..." (that scene is not included in the clip). She is even worse than Rachel: Rachel has always did her best to ruin Ross' relationships, but she at least had a reason - she wanted Ross. Phoebe has nothing to gain from ruining her best friends' relationship. Pity that Chandler never pays her back by telling Mike what an awful person she is.

Around Season 5, she became a lot more cruel, sadistic, constantly tried to break up Monica and Chandler's relationship, had no filter, and repeatedly insulted all the characters (especially Ross and Chandler) with zero regards for how that made them feel. Whenever someone finally had the nerve to stand up and call her out for her actions, Phoebe would immediately play victim and act like the person calling her out was the bad guy. I want to know where all these changes came from because that is not who Phoebe's character was at all in the earlier seasons
@@superjackster0165 Yeah I watched TOW Everyone Finds out yesterday which is S5 and she said she (Monica) could do better (than Chandler). I said to the TV seriously Phoebe? Trying to break them up since before they know we know they know! Lol. Season 1 phoebe would never do that, she had her fair share of weird guys too like Roger, PHD guy and Parker. I totally LOVED it when two of my friends got together you should just be more supportive of them really. 😊😅
@@liamb8644 Let’s not forget her reaction when she saw them through the window. She was shouting their names in horror for whatever reason and then yelled “MY EYES MY EYES!!” at the top of her lungs as if she was seeing a dead body getting their organs harvested. She hated their relationship from minute one. Yet, she was a die hard supporter of Ross and Rachel. Seriously, where did this cruel side of Phoebe come from?
Monica ❤she is actually the mother of the group 😍😍
Phoebe was so mean to Chandler bringing that guy to meet Monica. And the most chocking is that she was thinking it was so right what she was doing.
I really don't like how they belittle Chandler so much in the later seasons and make him constantly feel as if he's not good enough
It's a comedy show, not a drama. Calm down.
I always thought they unnecessarily made it seem like Monica could have done better. Chandler was the best she could have done and well did. Lol i loved this couple on the show. I never understood why most focused on Ross n Rachel.
@@amrita3000 It's not a serious show.
@@TheFLAMEXD oh really? I thought this was Les Mis! My bad.
@@amrita3000 From the way you comment about the show, you might as well treat it like Les Mis.
My biggest fear. After I get married of course…
Of course I haven't even managed to successfully find someone to marry so I guess I don't have to worry about this quite yet 😕🤦♂️
oh my! I've seen the thing a gazzilion times, but I don't remember the Vermont scene, nor the 'Joey might be a virgin', which is hillarious!
I hate Phoebe in this episode. After she found out about Monica and Chandler she's been nothing but mean to Chandler and is always finding a chance to disrespect their relationship. She's the only one who does it.
This is so true. I sometimes think she's jealous of their relationship.
I hate phoebe most of the time
Yeah she's seriously the most annoying character in friends
Chandler has never been Phoebes favourite.. she thinks he’s a wuss
She used to be such a good friend! And then as the seasons went on and they became more caricature like, she became meaner 😢😢
To be fair, the British guy looks a bit like Richard, only without mustache. No wonder Monica liked him. She had probably some flashbacks :).
She was soooo basic...the british, "cultured", older men stereotype... Offcourse... I mean, Chandler should hace dropped her, and Phoebe for being an ass (and full of 💩)...
Monica is the Glue that keeps this group together.
Sun dried tomatoes are amazing. I disagree with them completely, we should be sprinkling those things in more. Only reason they don't is because it's on the higher price as far as ingredients goes lol.
I think its heartbreaking that rachel looks down on chandler although they are close friends
She does not. Part of friendship is being able to roast each other without being mean-spirited.
Nobody is mean to nobody, they just like roasting one another 😂 like how you roast your siblings and best friends, you know.
rosting each other thats not rosttingg thats making someone fell bad about them @@Flower_28938
Imagine if Chandler married kathy
And Monica ended up with this guy
The "Flanderization" was already strong in the characters in these episodes
older...obviously... got me🤣🤣
He has a right to feel wierd but not angry like joey cant control the way he feels but he clearly showing he has control on the way he acts and he a loyal friend and the way he feels about Rachel was something real
Fun clip, but why was the middle scene included? It was a completely different part of the episode.
Dude i watched this show all seasons 14 times
You tripping
I enjoyed the Phoebe character. She was loopy, and I loved that. She made me laugh so much.
Literally everyone I know who watches the show thinks she’s the worst
Luckily Monica doesn't believe in soul-mates either.
“I swear I didn’t know you guys would be here” …… at the coffee house
Phoebe always make me laugh 😂
I'll get you someone 🤣
phoebe so evil man 😭
Yeah, evil but genius. Evil genius.
@@NaomiiiishTry jealous and NOT genius. There is nothing funny or genius about trying to wreck your friends marriage. It just shows how jealous and insecure you are.
I can’t be the only one who thinks this guy looks like a younger version of Richard
Yeah which is probably why Phoebe thought they were soul mates
I love it how throughout season 5 to 10 they still think Monica could’ve done better than chandler 😂😂 my poor Chan Chan
That honestly bothered me so much. I really wish the show had provided an explanation for why Phoebe absolutely despised Monica and Chandler's relationship but was an absolute die hard Ross and Rachel shipper
@@superjackster0165I think Phoebe was kinda jealous of their relationship. No explanation but Mondler were just awesome couple in the whole series.
Monica was the single mother raising all the others 😂
In the 10-years of Friends episodes, this has to be Chandler's worst hair style.
He's looking ropey here for sure. Glad he recovered.
His college hairstyle was the worst
what? it looks pretty good. his earlier hairstyles were super generic that most guys have, or at least guys who don't have much hair
i believe in tall handsome strangers 🤣
That British chap was in the Nanny (Maxwell Sheffield's brother) and was in the Happily Divorced(the neighbour)
It's 20 years later and I still don't know what's their problem with sun-dried tomatoes.
there is no problem. its when someone states their opinion as some universal fact.
This guy also played Maxwell's brother Nigel in The Nanny😂😂
Nanny Fine.
I love Rachels expression when Chandler asks if she thinks there is someone better for Monica than him 😂
don't worry we'll find you someone else 😆😆😆
It’s a sitcom. They have to have storylines.
Joey should have never gone out with Rachel, who else agrees?
Phoebe is just the worst in the later seasons. The original kind and innocent Phoebe of seasons 1 and 2 would never act like this. To me her writting got the biggest drop in quality of them all along side Joey's intelligence. Truly hated her from season's 6-10
Cant believe Chandler is gone😭😭😭
And, my eyes on Pheobe's finger rings 💍😂
I don’t approve Phoebe’s actions here at all
You didn't include my favorite Phoebe line! "They both want to live in a house of cheese! I don't know how you fight that."
As a kid you enjoyed the show and the characters. But as an adult you start to see how, Pheobe was really a terrible friend, she used her past to gaslight her friends all the time, she always attacked her friends' insecurities(this clip is the perfect example) she always put them in very awkward positions too.
They really destroyed Phoebe's character as the show went on. Around Season 5, she became a lot more cruel, sadistic, constantly tried to break up Monica and Chandler's relationship, had no filter, and repeatedly insulted all the characters (especially Ross and Chandler) with zero regards for how that made them feel. Friends without the most important friend: Chandler
Phoebe really turned into a force of evil in this one damn
In the thumbnail I thought it was Richard without moustache
Man Joey is such a good friend only worrying about how Ross is taking things
yea. i wouldn't give a damn personally.
Joey was the best, I don't like Ross, he even stole Charlie from Joey and Chandler dated a fuel Joey dates and Joey was fine with it and here we have Ross who doesn't care about anyone, I found the Ross and Rachel thing really toxic
Damn after watching so many good shorts, i need to watch this show entirely.😂
What season ,episode is this?
this is incomplete , the best part is cheese house in France 😂
Where are subtitles....😢
I was with them on the cheese talk. Oh my, how I love cheese. ❤️ 🧀
Episode number?
Ross was the absolute WORST person EVER! It was ok for him to date Rachel's SISTER but had a problem that Joey had feelings for her.
But hey 😆 🤷🏽♀️
I still stand by Ross being the worst character and Monica was equally horrible.
True!! Sister will always be a sister..a blood relative. Much higher status than a close friend and Ross chose to date her and he has audacity to be mad at Rachel and Joey while still dating multiple girls throughout her pregnancy. He indeed was a toxic person.
@@divinelyprotected144nah, Rachel was the worst, then Pheobe, then Ross. Monica also had her fair share of bitchy moments, but she was also very understanding and giving. Chandler and Joey were the best characters. I personally couldn't stand Pheobe and Rachel. Though I see from a certain point of view why Ross would be so hated.

There were many scenes and moments like this is in the show where it genuinely seemed like Phoebe was trying to break up Monica and Chandler's relationship with zero explanation given. That always pissed me off
Monica keeps calling her brother honey... Lol😅
Pheobe and Rachael were pretty mean to Ross and Chandler mocking them for their not so charismatic trait
Which is funny coz they were both way more successful than either of them.

Pity that Chandler never pays her back by telling Mike what an awful person she is.
wow, i hope i never do anything to make you write a harsh post on youtube of me...... unless what i am doing now is what i just feared.
I agree with you
It’s really not that deep, relax. 😂
Phoebe always supported Ross and Rachel’s relationship even though they came off as toxic, but rarely showed any support for Monica and Chandler’s whose relationship was much more healthy
She really is a hypocrite and a weirdo.
WTF. Trully, Chandler has the worst Friends...constantly undermine him... And Mónica sucks... He deserved much much better
