- John Andretti spun out earlier in the race going a lap down. However, he was able to get the lap back. Then, with less than 20 laps to go, he was able to climb all the way to first place with 3 laps to go. Great come back from behind win for him!

I’m my opinion, one of nicest drivers in the sport.
R.I.P. John.
Truly missed..
Everything about this video is awesome. The way they broadcast the race, the way Bob, Benny and Ned didn't talk to much, the way the drivers didn't block, the way they didn't talk about points until after the race was done, Andretti being his authentic self, the way he went to victory lane without too much screwing around.... terrific.
R.I.P. John Andretti. That man was such a nice guy, and a class act.
RIP John Andretti, RIP Bob Jenkins and RIP Benny Parsons, miss all of them. ESPN’s NASCAR Speedworld broadcasts were the best!
Bob, Benny & Ned were the best in the business calling races. Nobody has come close.
RIP John! Life long Petty fan that loved watching his every race in the 43 as a kid!
Everyone racing like adults with respect. Haven’t seen that I years.
John Andretti was a very talented driver. He could drive anything and did!
Awesome win! R.I.P.JA
I remember that race R.I.P John.
imagine that, people moving out of the way, clean racing to the finish. If this wouldve happened in a modern nascar race, guarantee there wouldve been a bs caution, followed by 8 unnecessary caution laps and a 2 lap "shootout", win determined by who got the best jump on the restart
Mad much? 😂
@@xlaxdashie2778 nope that's the reality of today's nascar. im not mad, i just stopped watching
If this happened in modern NASCAR, you'd have a million children on Twitter whining about how boring it was.
I miss this. I miss when it was actually a legitimate competition.
Both the final win for John Andretti and Petty Enterprises.
Back when Nascar was still racing 😢
Notice how how didn't use the bumper and no one was blocking wow I miss this kind of racing
I think he replaced petty
Rick Wilson replaced him, them Wally Dallenbach
@@lpbbinc then Bobby Hamilton after Dallenbach.
Nobody thanks God anymore wonder why?
I was fortunate enough to meet him leaving Talladega one afternoon super nice guy
Thank God for A Pontiac!
