EverCoat Asphalt Restoration Process
Step 1: Preparation.
All roofing surfaces shall be free of loose material, grease, soft asphalt, and other materials that could interfere with adhesion. Typically, this can be achieved by power washing with a minimum of 3500 psi power washer. Severe contamination may require industrial cleaning products. Check with your Everest Systems Representative for recommendations.
Step 2: Make necessary repairs. The roof should be repaired and made watertight according to the manufacturer’s recommended procedures.
Step 3: Prime
Apply Everprime Bleed Block or Everprime Bleed Block SS to all asphalt membranes at a rate of 1 ½ gallons per 100 sf (24 wet mils / 13 dry mils). (This is an estimate and may require additional primer for extremely weathered membranes). Backroll and let it cure.
Step 4: Seams and penetrations
All seams, penetrations, and edges should be 3-course sealed with Everstitch 272 or Everknit fabric and Evercaulk FG / EverCaulk FG Brush, FiberFlash, or Everseal sealant to achieve 50 dry mils over all seams. All valley areas, waterways, drain areas, or other areas where there is the possibility of water accumulation must have Fabric embedded into the basecoat at least 6” outside of the ponding area.
Step 5: Top Coat
Once that product is cured, apply your desired top coat for a 10, 15, or 20-year warranty
