    I am a foreign man and I didn’t learn much of cooking anything. I never cooked roast chicken before. I went to whole foods got the spices and followed this recipe exactly, the chicken is great! Just like in this video, crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside. It really works!

    Thank you for sharing this recipe...I rinse meat that I buy, period. I don't cross contaminate because I know how to handle it & how to clean properly. Everyone I was raised around did the same thing & we are still alive...without cross contaminating anything.

      I rub extra dirt on my meat to get a nice earthy flavor. Sometimes, if I decide to cook the meat, you can see where there were worms, which means extra protein.

    Hi! Would you consider doing a video about cooking oil? I know it sounds like a basic video, but it would be very helpful to know what cooking oils you personally use and ones you do not use, and in what cases you use them for in cooking or baking. I am trying to get away from vegetable oil and want to explore avocado oil, safflower oil, and more. I already use olive oil, but sometimes I want a netural tasting oil for frying or cooking foods of other cuisines that do not pair well together. Thanks a lot!

    • @Downshiftology

      @@Downshiftology I would also like a video on that, I came to the comments just to ask why you prefer avocado over olive for baking. Is it more stable under high temperatures? Would love to hear a comprehensive review on cooking oils :)

      I know my 2 cents don't count for much but the healthiest oils are avocado, coconut, olive. Peanut oil is great as arthritis massage oil. If you can't do anything with any o' those, someone else will

    • @zachary8224
      @zachary8224 4 роки тому +4

      Judy Xie if you’re looking for a go-to cooking oil, olive oil is your best bet. it has a relatively neutral flavor, and a high smoke point. if you’re looking for deep frying, try avocado and safflower oil. however, it must say EXPELLER PRESSED. if it doesn’t, they used a chemical solvent called “hexane” to extract the oil, which is very harmful.

    Idk, I wash my poultry and scrub it down with a cut lemon. Sometimes it has feathers or other debris on it and it must be washed off and cleaned. I also do this to my fish as well. The only thing I don’t clean is beef because the blood is what gives it flavor. I unfortunately washed my hair share of steaks and pot roasts and when it was cooked, it tasted bland, flavorless and it was tough! Lol! I learned to not wash it off and it tastes soo much better. But yea, I MUST wash my poultry and fish!
