  • I've got a kitchen basics you guys are gonna love, raise your hand if you want to learn to make the best, most juicy chicken thigh ever!? Well, I have 3 techniques that will teach you my favorite way to make juicy chicken thighs at home. These chicken thighs recipes are easy to make and full of flavor, and the first technique could be the best way to cook chicken thighs ever! I am so excited for you guys to try these recipes for how to cook chicken thighs. Our chicken breast video did so well last month that I really wanted to share with you these 3 ways to make chicken thighs, including how to bake them in the oven, cook them in a pan, and make boneless and skinless chicken thighs. The key to oven baked chicken is to cook it at 400 F for 50 minutes, and make sure to pay the chicken skin dry. The boneless and skinless chicken thigh has a tasty spice rub on it and is cooked in the pan until crusty. The pan seared and oven baked chicken thigh is my favorite technique, wait to you see how crispy the skin is and how juicy the meat is. Let us know what other kitchen basics videos you want to see. yeah but it needs to be 1 of those all metel type pans that dont come with the wooden handle, of course the the whole pans gonna be hott when taking it out, so you'll need a rag or towel to do that. but the results are good when cooking like that,

Obviously, your mom isn't a professional chef, since this is an extremely common pro technique...caramelize meat in a pan and then transfer the pan right into the oven to cook the interior of the meat. This is done with steaks as well as cuts that would more appropriately be called "roasts". Did you ever wonder why chef's frying pans always have all-metal handles, that may require a pot-holder or glove to maneuver them? This is why! You can't do this with your plastic insulated handle pans, which would mean having to have double the number of pans...those for stove-top use only, and those for stove or over use.

I absolutely love the first method (cast iron skillet / from stove top to oven) for that incredible crunchy skin, and the clear timing of it all makes it very easy for me to co-ordinate whatever I'm making to go with it. For example, I recently did the chicken rubbed with Italian herbs and then placed it atop a serving of spaghetti olio aglio peperoncino. That takes me 10 minutes to make once the pasta hits the boiling water, so all I have to do is just start it right before I flip the chicken in the oven. So simple!

I'm a retired chef of 30 years, getting my start as a cook in the Navy. I've used these methods (learned from my mother) for almost 40 years. I taught them to my friend, who was the cook for our ship's Captain, and he absolutely loved them. So when it was time for chicken on the menu the captain had me cook up the chicken for him. The captain gave me great praise when it came to getting cheffing gigs as a civilian. Keep up the great work.

Chicken is my main source of protein... And this is the way to cook chicken thighs brother😎... Searing in a cask iron, then some time in the oven, gives chicken thighs the best results for me... Even a regular non-stick pan will get the job done if you don't have a cast iron... Chicken wings on the rack is pretty effective as well if it's done right☺... Back to the basics... Love the healthy recipes along with the chicken thighs👍

I made 4 chicken thighs today using Bobby’s technique and they were terrific. I used an Indian spice rub. The result was Crispy, crackling skin, juicy perfectly cooked thighs. I paired them with some roasted broccoli. I also fried up some onion straws in the chicken fat in the cast iron pan while the chicken was resting and then just took the dish over the top. To use Bobby’s favorite term, this technique is “legit” 😂. Thanks for sharing Bobby. Cheers!

Please consider making this basic: oven roasted brisket that is deeply browned, fork tender with a satisfying amount of dark crusty bits, and unsmoked, no spicey spices needed. Sear first or sear later or not at all? Wrap in foil or use a slow cooker? Ways to use leftovers besides putting them on a bun. Also, what to look for when buying brisket. Lots of methods out there but I'd like to see your "basic" take on it. Thanks!

Yaasss!! I made pan to oven bone in, skin on chicken thighs. The dish came out wonderfully!! Juicy, extra dark, crispy skin and I used extra virgin olive oil and it did burn slightly during pan searing. Once in the oven skin side down I cooked then turned over. Used the meat thermometer to check doneness. I was impressed!! Next time I will try the grape seed oil due the higher heat. I seasoned with kosher salt and poultry seasoning.

Love that you explain what is bad and why its bad! and why this or this is better. also love the avocado oil. did the chicken thigh just as you said and it was wonderful al tho personal taste I think I will cut back on the salt just a bit it was a little strong for me but i do not normally use alot of salt
