Brother Khallid came to Savannah twice and I was blessed to meet him both times. My 11 years old son asked Brother Khallid this question: If you are taught Black at home-how do toy keep it once you go to school among peers who do not believe in being Black? Khallid was proud of his question at such an early age until he had him repeat it so everyone could hear him loud and clear. Afterward, Brother Khallid looked towards me and said- Mother you have a serious and important son in your home. You must nurture and teach him to keep his strength and continue to teach him his history! I will never forget this brother and neither will my son. At that time, we were attending the mosque in Savannah. My son went on to be dedicated to his Blackness and to the NOI! Minister Farrakhan sent my 11 years old son a letter of appreciation! Again, I will always defend and speak highly of this powerful and intelligent brother and I suggest we all remember him and the work he did for his Black people!!

He was a REAL one. Back in around 1995, he asked me to join him in a new project. He said he would train me and everything. I made the agonizing decision to decline his offer because at the time I had a 3 year old and newborn child. I decided to be there full-time for them in those early years. I do not regret that decision, but I often think, "What if?" I remember sitting in his funeral in disbelief, because I attended a lecture of his less than one month earlier. Long live the spirit of Dr. Khalid Abdul Muhammad!

Rest with the ancestors to the late great Dr. Khalid Muhammad. I’ve learned so much for me and I implore every black person to his books along with Dr. Claude Anderson and Dr. Cress Wesling. This is the type of black man I’d follow willingly and submit to him. He had a vision and oozed masculinity. This is the black man that other black men and women too need to be listening too.
