With an antenna like that and a little foot warmer you could talk to the whole world! Absolutely superb, I am jealous the winds in mouth of the canyon I live near would take it down. Near Ogden Utah 30 miles from me there is a canyon near a train freight yard , the winds have blown over in loaded freight trains

He's talking about i80 area that had over 70mph canyon winds there it happens in fall months and winter months it can blow your car doors close that how strong winds there.

Or if it is the internet and that so much is on the internet and not so much on CB? Do you have an email address because cannot find it in your about tab on UA-cam. I could ask some questions maybe to you about how CB communications are today. I have Uniden pro 520 xl and I do not pick up anything hardly and I am usually tuned to channel 19 when I have the CB on.
I've owned 100's of radios, Both new, and used. My all time favorites are a Uniden Washington for a base, and a Uniden Grant XL for the car. I also like the new Anytone and Stryker radios.

I used to own 4 if then, how do you like that radio? I know that they use a pill type final output transistor in the radio and when peaked up they really talk for a AM radio.
Question was swr same on both polarities ?? It has been my experience as soon as the horizontal goes verticle the last pipe holding acts as reflection to the antenna and may need tuning 398 central Wis have a beautiful weekend and good memorial day
That was interessting to watch... for local the antenna is straight up... for skip flat... how does it perform under an angle of 45 degrees? Good for both or is it a bad idea...
It has just the two positions with the current configuration. I am searching for an inexpensive actuator to electrically control the rotation, it rolls too fast into the vertical position.

What’s wrong with utilizing a guad for this situation? I operate a moon raker 4. Never had a problem. Swr changes are minuscule with a switch.
Not a thing. Except extra windload and weight. I used materials I had on hand to build the antenna and mount.

when I had my 2 rotor yagi, I would use it vertical for local talking, and horizontal for DX.

I'm not sure what the SWR is when it's flat, But we checked it when vertical, and it was 1.1 or less. Take care 398, 73's from 151 SC.
