i hate that you have to even make a disclaimer about what grades you made. you studied extremely hard and hard work pays off! you’re awesome!! i am loving your videos
Theres alotta haters out there in the world unfortunately☹️ I know how it could come across as bragging or like im full of myself so I wanted to make that disclaimer. Thank you for being supportive and understanding!! Much love to you❤️❤️❤️
When you graduate(I bet near the top of your class) remember being a nurse is totally different when you get a job. Floor work will show you that your instructors didn't show you the half of it. Working with new nurses is a joy for me! When I graduated things emphasized clinical stuff more than now.(Yes I am old). Pharmacology is so important! Very very important. Pick the brains of the floor nurses(not your instructors) when doing clinical, most of them will help.DO NOT hesitate to ask them questions. Start Iv's on as many real patients as possible. Hang tough girl! Nursing is a calling not a profession.
Great job girl! I just graduated nursing school and am taking my NCLEX tomorrow! It is sooooo important that you maintain those study habits throughout school so when the boards come around you'll be READY. Subscribing!
Starting my first semester of nursing school soon and your videos have all been so helpful! Looking forward to the updated study tips and planning videos!
I'm on my second semester! First semester which is foundations was really hard, but just push through and get a positive friend group. Positivity = success :)
Omg you’re absolutely right. When I started planning and stuck to my plans, I was more productive than if I didn’t plan, and if you don’t stick to your plan, you know it will hurt your grades.
Your videos are sooo helpful!!!! I would love to see how you do your daily planning and how you've updated your studying. I'm entering my second semester myself. Great job on your finals!
I followed the way you studied in your “study with me” video and I actually passed my anatomy & physiology exam!!!! I was terrified of not passing and understanding the material but the way you study is apparently the most effective way for me to study too!! So THANK YOU!!!
Great job!! Have you made a video of how you make your study guides?? I’m not the best note taker and would love to learn how you make your study guides! Thank you!
LOVE all the insight you give and how transparent you are! Could you do a video on planning and how you’re doing your doing your studying and note taking now? Pleeeease and thank you! ❤️
@Al Mond So definitely knowing your learning style is what is going to help you study the most effective way possible. Try not to get behind on anything even reading because the chapters are usually very thick it is easy to get behind. When reading learn to focus on the "need to know" versus the "nice to know" information. Don't overwhelm yourself by trying to read the entire thing. My advice is to focus on the bold/ italic words, the boxes within the chapter and the charts. That's where most of the nursing information is. Also make sure to do the key points in each chapter it will help break down the material. Third semester was definitely the hardest for me. The first and third semesters is where they try weed out people, so stay focused. Med-Surge had been the hardest because it covers alot of material and disease processes. RegisterednurseRN has videos on youtube that really helps alot of people so check her out! Best of luck to you! You can do this 😊
@Al Mond yes, lots of practice questions and exams. They have some on quizzlet. Also, my books come with an access code for online resources that include practice exams over each chapter. I recommend getting the Saunders Nclex review book, it breaks down everything and comes with an online resource that has alot of practice exams and is the most similar to the NCLEX. That book is the best it focuses on everything you need to know throughout nursing school and the NCLEX. If you have any other questions feel free to ask! I love helping fellow nursing students succeed in school 😊
I die that you're a Husker! I've never seen another Nebraskan/midwest youtuber before (and I'm a nursing student too!) So I really appreciate you and your channel!
I was gonna do ABSN! But I felt like it’d be a lot with 2 small kiddos & the little support I have since my husband is military and gone a lot 😭 So now I’m taking baby steps & I LOVE IT ❤️ 🗣NEVER GIVE UP! WE WILL BE GREAT NURSES!!
Taylor Akeria Aw no! My clinicals are during the week, so I have them in daycare & school. It sucks not having the support system when you’re so far from family. We been at our duty station for 6 years, so I build a little support. Where are you guys located? If you have any questions let me know! freshnafilipina@yahoo.com
ABSN is totally doable!! We do have weekend clinical as a potential option, but its easy to switch with someone who has a weekday clinical! You got this!!
Hi! I love your tips! TBH, I am not a nursing student, but I am in Grad school working on my MS in Family and Human Development. I am finding your videos helpful for me in making my schedules and especially for motivation! Thank you!
I enjoy your videos!! Especially the semester at a glance. This semester I’ll be taking pharm, health assessment, and funds 2. In most worried about pharm. I will be following you along the way
Girl, you're crushing it! Job well done! Please...more planning videos ~ I SO need to change my ways and learn to plan as I'm an older pre-nursing student. Help... 😅
I’m starting this program on Monday and we just had orientation today. I was looking at the syllabus for nutrition and was like “oh a 2 credit, yay a little chill class” lol sad 😂
I found it helpful to relate the information to myself or people I knew. Example: counting my own macros or thinking of a family member who’s a diabetic. It was easier for me to put a face to the diet.
I wished my program requires a stand-alone pathophysiology class; instead of grouping it with Medical-Surgical... are you selling your study guides? They seem really comprehensive and helpful- could I have a copy?
Thank you for the videos that are definitely helpful. I'm also going to throw this out there, just so you have it for future reference, the saying is sugar coat. As in to coat something in sugar, means it's sugar coated to make it sweeter.
hello - great video. im also a student nurse (start in september) i have transferred from paramedic science to nursing and might have to start from year one. im also documenting my journey so would love and appreciate the support. amazing video as usual - keep up the great work...
Hi fellow future nurse 💕thank you for this video but please still do a video on the detailed planning for your week. I’m in nursing 1 and right now having trouble finding time for the gym/ me time. Thanks in advance! 🙏
How’s school with the Coronavirus? I had two finals and I thought I’d die. Good job and hard work pays off. I did have a good study group but, egos got in the way so we don’t get together anymore. People were getting too competitive. Made it through with two B’s the same thing happened to me. I had an A and then dropped to a B with the final. Mental health was tricky just took that and Med-Surg 1. The last 3 weeks they had us take 1 proctor for ATI and 2 Exam 3 and 2 finals and a math test for dosage and calculations. It was so stressful.
School with coronavirus is eating me alive. I cannot for the life of me find motivation, its incredibly hard. I cant focus at home and since we cant go anywhere.... you can only imagine how productive im being😅
Can you pretty please do a video on your journey to nursing school. Like what the application process was like and stuff such as that. I also got my bachelors in something other than nursing and want to take an accelerated program, but I am not sure where to start.
Fellow Chicagoan here, I am starting a direct entry MSN in Wisconsin in August. Have you experiences any set backs in your program. I am sure you have posted a video about it, but this is the first video of yours that I am seeing.
One of my biggest issues is planning out everything I'm going to do and when, and then not actually doing it like that Lol. How do you make yourself to follow through on what you've written out in your planner?!
Just out of curiosity, did you always want to do nursing or is that something you decided later on in undergrad. I'm premed/pre-PA and study very similarly to you and kill most classes and have recently been thinking of going the nurse practitioner route as opposed to the PA route. Do you recommend accelerated programs??
I was actually also PrePA during my undergrad before I switched to nursing. I will eventually go the NP route once i start working and paying off some loans! Accelerated programs are great if you already have a degree !!
Hey ! I enter the RN program soon I have already taken majority of the classes needed, so therefor I will finish within a year. What do you recommend I brush up on/over prior to entering? So quick summary science is really not my strongest topic but I did get by... AP 1 and 2 I did struggle with it..any recommendations ?
I don’t think you need to brush up, most the information you learn is pretty elementary to what you should have learned-with a new nursing emphasis. So as long as you learned it the first time and are familiar, you should be fine
Hey guys, I’m a nursing student as well ! So i just wanted to say Heeeey to my nursing sisters and brothers ! If you comment your instagram , ill be sure to follow you as well! #letssticktogether
Hi Diana! I am looking into Loyola's ABSN program and am really looking to chat with someone about the program! Would you be open to talking one on one sometime?
Why do you have to put a disclaimer? Were people commenting about it? Anyways.... I’m sure if you work hard, you’ll get good grades. Happens all the time. I got straight As on my first semester of 5 courses( pharm, patho, foundations, Med-surg, health assessment)
i hate that you have to even make a disclaimer about what grades you made. you studied extremely hard and hard work pays off! you’re awesome!! i am loving your videos

Good luck!!
Me too!!! So nervous
Omg you’re absolutely right. When I started planning and stuck to my plans, I was more productive than if I didn’t plan, and if you don’t stick to your plan, you know it will hurt your grades.
I just started my first semester of nursing school this week and our passing grade is 80%. Anything lower than that is a fail. I'm drowning here 😂😭

can you do a video over how you lay out your study guides or tips with it? thank you so much ❤️
Your videos are sooo helpful!!!! I would love to see how you do your daily planning and how you've updated your studying. I'm entering my second semester myself. Great job on your finals!
Maria Hernandez I second this!! I would love to see how she plans and studies!

I loved the long videos I clean and listen with headphones !!
Would love to see a updated version on how you make your study guides
Oh my gosh! Good job on your grades girl be proud of them don’t feel bad! Lol You worked for what you got
So glad to see a new video up! The updated study video would be so helpful and also how you do your study guides! Love watching your channel! ❤️
You’re so right sharing is caring and teaching it re enforcing what you already know. 👍🏽
I just started last Monday and I can honestly say nursing school will suck the life out of you.
It honestly does
All school does lol. Especially if you work too.
missdee212 lol undergrad before nursing school was easy for me, less stressful and i actually had a life even while working.
I would DEFINITELY appreciate an in depth planning video 😭💖

Dangggg, at my college anything below an 83% is a failing grade in the nursing major
I just started the first semester of my ABSN program this week! I have 6 different lecture classes and 3 labs, can you please do a planning video lol
I am in my first semester of nursing school and for us patho & pharm are combined into the same class... currently dying
You got it!
Can you please do a vide on how to make study guides? :)
How do you have time to make your study guides? In my program we have an exam literally every single week.
