@@SuperTeraflop Yes there was so much choice of content to be downloaded.. That's how I discovered Deadsy actually, through this song, thinking Marilyn Manson was singing!
There is a point in the song when both their vocals get overlapped and it sends shivers down my spin. The lyrics aren't the greatest on JD's part, but their voices combined made one hell of a song. The eerie sound to this song is inescapable. Great song!!
DEADSY & DAVIS do an outstanding song here. What is noticable is the energy & sustenance put into these riffs, chords and vocals. The melody is eerie, drawing praise to the band's ability to convey the song's message of the evils and horrors of society and life. Their horror theme never fails to entertain. They pack house and their performance is impactful and incredible.
Since I was in the 6th grade, I always thought this was MM. Boy, I regret being wrong for this many years... It's okay though, I forgive myself. Deadsy is still awesome. KoRn will continue to be awesome, and MM is still my homeboy.
I was in love with this song when I was 15 and 16 years old. Two years have passed and this song is still as good as the first day I heard it!! And its TOTALLY deadsy. If you listen to their other stuff its the exact same style with the distorted guitar and synth. Every evil. >:D
When I listen to this song, I think of the original texts of the Bible or Torah when they mentioned Lilith and her banishment from the Garden of Eden. While she is left there to be alone, she happens upon Samael or the Devil as some texts would refer to him. They create an Unholy Union, bring forth many children, and form a clan that gives their own teachings. Their teachings are vengeful and merciless, as Lilith herself takes delight in taking revenge on the children of Adam and Eve, the Man and God that forced her away. Samael can continue with his unholy ways as they laugh at the rest and pass all the tests. I'm sure the intention or meaning of this song is way different, but that's vibe I got from listening to this.
I was in HS smoking in my friends' dark tool shed listening to this song at midnight in pitch black darkness, next thing I know the whole world turns red and my body starts pulsating now I feel like i'm in hell...turns out I had passed out and fell over and this song was the evil soundtrack lol Love this song
Wow! Thank you for the nice compliment & for all this interesting analysis! I bet the writers of this song felt things similar, and the musicians do when they play it! :) It's a great performance. Hope we all clear through any bleak feelings in our lives; friendship & love seem to help that most: "Love makes the World Go 'Round."
This one and the Blair Witch Remix are my favorite. I used to hear them on the radio when I was a kid growing up in SOCAL. So many great memories. I’ve been trying to buy this song for so long cannot find it anywhere for sale. I have a low budget download.
This is Deadsy! The vocals are definitily Elijah Blue's. And I know JD's vocals anywhere! The beginning kinda sounds like the theme from "Tales From The Darkside"
"Sleepy Hollow" Came to see him For you only might find Gone take my lay For you and I will find Form to see my fates I cannot ever find Places I care for Nothing in my mind Bring me not far enough All lurking you'll find Placing not far You're every single mind So fine can only For you and me will find Basis all for me Can you leave my mind Bracing my fall My every single place Your love travelled far Some laying with my fates Place some never far You're everything around You say I'm a love And be mine every way (Inside) Under the sand Through the land Find all I can And form a clan That teaches to laugh Tears the past Laughs at the rest Teach the best Defeats the rest Forms the test We passed all the tests Evil in my mind
It is crazy for years I grew up listening to this song and found it under Marilyn Manson and Korn:!:? who else has been fooled and tricked over the years thinking this was Marilyn Manson and Korn when it wasn't...🤯🤯🤯
Man, I could swear I have heard this song before. This is not on Deadsy's first album, this song comes off of being on a movie soundtrack. Does anybody know..?
@Lunacyk If I made a huge list on here of the bands that it started with I assure that they would be in there, I just didn't feel like typing a huge list.
I know I'm about to get alot of flack for this, but does anyone know any other music like this? By "this" I mean slow but kinda hard, nothing like fast/scream music. I love the beat of this song and the vocals are right about where I like it.
ahhhh the whole time I thought it was manson and davis! People would ask me who sings it and i said manson and davis...guess i should do some research!
Very well said. I couldn't agree more. Well done. One of the best posts I've ever read here. I love this song too. The whole darkness of it is just encompassing to the mind. Like lifting you away to where its cold and blank without worry or care, just gone. Until the rage is released as Davis screams towards the end. Almost like waking in the hollowing atmosphere you've lifted yourself into. Trying to escape the reality of nothingness, that is in fact, the world.... something like that
Most popular bands, sure. Think of the music industry as a cow that accidentally ate a few diamons with grass. Now, when that cow shits, the shit is all of the music. There are still diamonds somewhere in that shit, you just have to dig for them.
How many people here first listened to this song from a P2P client like Limewire with the incorrect title of Korn and Marilyn Manson?

Napster for me.. Old days

I was in another dimension when I first heard this song. Sounds just as good sober 😌
JD and the creepy keyboards just make this song ...
Exactly! The synth-work here is pure evil. Delicious.

💯 love him
This song is so good it's ridiculous.
If someone would ask me " Who has the most beautifull voice in the wide world" ?
"Jonathan Davis without a second thought."
This takes me back to 2002 when they opened for Korn. Jonathan didn't come out to perform this or Gramercy Park.
Cool I went to a show during that tour. I think it was the 1st time I watched Deadsy.
Sage Valentine he should've came out to perform this at least. 😩
deadsy lead singer Elijah blu Allman >>>>SON OF
Jon davis def should of came out for this at least. Wonder how elijah would sound sing it since its pretty much all jon

daniel vega Omg yes, I heard it too.
+daniel vega a lot of their elements comes from soundtracks and other songs. they give credit for it, which is awesome cause many artists don't.

It is written by Washington Irving, the man who wrote “The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow”!! ✍️📖
That's cool asf
Never knew that Deadsy had an album prior to Commencement. Just learned this today and had to hear the song with JD
Lord, have not heard this in like 15 years

"Sleepy Hollow"
Came to see him
For you only might find
Gone take my lay
For you and I will find
Form to see my fates
I cannot ever find
Places I care for
Nothing in my mind
Bring me not far enough
All lurking you'll find
Placing not far
You're every single mind
So fine can only
For you and me will find
Basis all for me
Can you leave my mind
Bracing my fall
My every single place
Your love travelled far
Some laying with my fates
Place some never far
You're everything around
You say I'm a love
And be mine every way
(Inside)
Under the sand
Through the land
Find all I can
And form a clan
That teaches to laugh
Tears the past
Laughs at the rest
Teach the best
Defeats the rest
Forms the test
We passed all the tests
Evil in my mind
Anticipation :)
