Pamela Chu is a parody name mocking chinese women, so I suppose the joke is that the amazon does some sort ot ''kung fu'' idk, with the kicks and stuff. The others might be internal jokes among the developers. The thing with IVALAOSTIA is that basques are known for being kinda rough, so the joke I guess that goes with activating the cheat with the barbarian.
If I may say so :) The Spanish expression "ahí va la hostia" is a fairly strong interjection that can be used to express surprise, shock or admiration, and it doesn't have a direct translation in many languages because it contains a specifically Spanish cultural and emotional dimension. In Basque, an exact equivalent expression does not exist, but surprise or shock could be expressed by interjections such as "Aiba la hosto" which is also a strong way of expressing surprise or shock, although it is not a literal translation.
I can't tell you the amount of times I tried those fake cheats to no avail. I knew about some of the arena codes very vaguely but you've compiled all of them very neatly here. It's so amazing to learn more "new" and quirky things about this decades old game as a lifelong fan.
thats an awesome find, I wonder if there are any spanish guides/magazine articles that mention the cheat codes out there, or more importantly: find the goblin that made up cheat codes for the game 🥊
I don't think so. According to the rumor, these cheats were revealed on the English version after the ending cinematic. Nobody has seen these codes in 20+ years except the mythomaniac.
@@LeadHeadBOD In the French version of the game, there was a telephone number at the end of the manual. If you called this telephone number (for a fee), they would give you the codes for cheating and tell you which character to cheat with :)
As far as I am aware, not really. The camera functions are hardcoded, so it's not possible to say for certain. That being said, I was able to partially replicate the re-release camera behaviour using Python scripts and it has all the same problems the official version has. Whatever it is they did, it could have been done way better.

Atleast on the positive side it comes with patched up version of the original so I don't have to waste time setting up the game each time I re install it. Also subbed I have always wanted to channel that dives deep into BoD similiar to what Stip0/Mrsaintgodzilla does, would love to see more videos like this.
@@dogus4728 Greetins! Steam reissue is convinient, but there is an opportunity to bypass anti-cheat particialy. Go to game directory, open Lib folder, find PYTHON_DEBUG = 0, change 0 to 2 You will get free camera on P, also the hero will revive after death and you may use numpad keys to teleport around checkpoints on each map. Have fun :)

I remember these cheats been made into separate mod for ease of access - just activate mod and press buttons. No need to fiddle with char names.
~2000-2006 game magazines were nice with cheats/cheat apps/trainers/etc. cd usually included. Where is this gorgeous stuff now ...
