Another good one from The James Gang is "Walk Away", and there's a solo song you'll probably like called "Life's Been Good". Joe Walsh has also been a member of The Eagles and hits like "Life In The Fast Lane" and there's a song that's not just on his solo album, but also on an Eagles album called "In The City". You've started something good here, guys! Thanks for this video, I reall enjoyed it!
When I was a senior in high school me and my buddies used to go out to Kent,Ohio to see the James Gang play in a small basement club called JB's. They were a great jam band. Good memories.
I was a sophomore in high school (1970) when this came out. We be going to school dances and having a blast. Many of us would be sitting and taking a breather until this song came on. Then everyone would get up and start to dance. What memories...
Saw them live a couple of times as a teen, along with Aerosmith and the James Gang and they were every bit as good live as in studio~ thanks for doing this one!!! Love you guys ❤
My dad is still really good friends with Jim Fox, the drummer. They both collect license plates and Jim collects metal signs as well. I have a Funk 48 Michigan plate for Jim. Somebody already has FUNK 49. Got a drum lesson from him when I was in junior high school. Real nice, down to earth guy.
I love the song Rocky Mountain Way! My brother (rip) used to play a cover of it with his band. Joe Walsh is up there along side the other guitar greats! Much love! Happy 2022! ❤️
James Gang and Joe Walsh were lit. Walk Away is my favorite, Funk #48 is worth a listen.Lifes Been Good, Rocky Mountain Way are two of his solo works you should react to. Eagles music with Joe Walsh is abundant. You can literally pick almost any Eagles song, and enjoy it. Dive deep and enjoy.
In the late 60s there was a 30s era movie theater converted into a bar just one block off the Ohio State University campus. James Gang would appear there sometimes twice a month, for admission of 1.50 , and a beer for a dollar you listen to the James Gang blow the roof off the mother. Good times.
JAMES GANG, "FUNK 49"... THE START OF THIS CLEVELAND BAND. MR. JOE WALSH. MORE " WALK AWAY ", " THE BOMBER " " TEND MY GARDEN ". HE THEN WENT ON TOO A SOLO CAREER. "ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH", "THE CONFESSOR", "LIFE'S BEEN GOOD SO FAR". THEN WITH THE EAGLES, HOTEL CALIFORNIA ALBUM..By the way this song has one of the most unique intro's...ever. That Feeling that your find? I WOULD SAY IT'S EUPHORIA.
Joe is still with the Eagles. He took a break when he was having problems with alcohol. Has been clean for many years. Listen to Rocky Mountain High (with Eagles version). He is the godfather to Roy Orbison's grandson. There is a video of Roy lol at the age of 3 singing and playing guitar of Rocky Mountain High. Priceless
Joe Walsh was on the Kent State campus when the National Guard killed four students as was Chrissie Hynde lead singer of the Pretenders. Check out the Pretenders; I’d start with Back On The Chain Gang.
Definitely FUNKY right?! This is one of my all time fave songs since I first heard it decades ago (more decades than I care to admit, lol!!) Love you guys' reactions, keep rockin!!
Every time I listen to this song I always find myself drawn straight away to that fat ass bass sound and I feel like I'm riding a cloud bumping that bass.
Joe Walsh has been the lead guitar player for the Eagles since about 1975. Joe had several big hits in the 70’s. Great band, The James Gang. Many people feel the Joe Walsh is the greatest rock guitar player of all time. Certainly in the top five. Thank you S & M!!!
Nice choice, the James Gang are the real deal. Joe Walsh is a beast on guitar, to hear him at his best, try The James Gang Live, that whole album is fire. Try Stop/You're Gonna Need Me, they lead into another and find some of the best guitar work you will ever hear. Enjoy! 🎸

This man had an incredible career.
1/3 of James Gang. Then a successful solo career. Then, he was asked to join the Eagles.
Priceless

In an era of so many great rock bands they sometimes get lost in the shuffle, so to speak. They should not. The early star quality of one Joe Walsh.
