    Watching this video Julian I realize that while I have recovered from an awful state to regain so much of my life, I can get even better. What I have done is create a liveable, survivable environment that has helped me back off and deal with my tinnitus. Watching you in that relaxing environment I know that if I find more switch off time ... I will get off this plateau and get my tinnitus to back down even more. Thanks so much. You are like an old friend...

    I have a question for anyone who reads this comment, just out of curiosity... Years before my T began, I started finding outside noises EXTREMELY irritating (neighbors talking, people on the bus playing music so loud I could hear it through their headphones, coworkers who could not sit still and kept making noises with their feet and so on...). Not irritating in the screeching painful hyperacusis sense (I developed H too a few months before T, but it is gone now); they just really got on my nerves. When I finally found mr Julian's videos, the explanation about the fight or flight state felt absolutely logical and I realized that the reason those noises bothered me so much was that I was too alert and unconsciously focusing on everything that "invaded my territory", so to speak.
    My question is: I find it odd that despite reading tons of comments from people with T, I still haven't seen anyone mention they used to be like that before actually developing the T... Shouldn't such a personality actually be pretty common? Or maybe I just didn't search right...
    Thanks so so much again for your videos Julian!

      I was in a state of super hyper vigilance prior to my experience with T, examples by chronic pain, which lasted 18 months, before “going away”. I, for years as well, found irritating noises were “ramped” up. Babies, small children, barking dog, any other high pitched noises. When T developed, it actually helped my sensitivity, albeit short term, as sound sensitivity got worse before begetting better. Now, after working to “re-expose” myself I have seen remarkable improvement.
      Julian Cowan Hill is nothing short of “The Godfather” of getting your house in order to work on your body to relieve the T symptoms and anguish. Thank You!!!

      @@raad684 how do you make it go away? Can you please share exact details? I appreciate it so much

    • @raad684
      @raad684 5 років тому +1

      Varoujan Daniel Messier make what go away? The chronic pain? The T and sound sensitivity have not totally disappeared, although the T is only noticeable about 50% of the time and bothersome about 20% of that. I can go hours without the T even “being there”. The sound sensitivity, on the other hand has and is a long process. My LDL has been going up for the past 6 months, raised somewhere around 10-15 dB in some frequency. So, following Julian’s advice, along with a good audiologists, calming environments, psychotherapy, better nutrition, physical activity, travels, long airplane rides, yoga, meditation and continual exposure to more & more sounds has made remarkable improvements.
      You just have to throw the book at it, be positive, read only positivity. No matter if it’s pain, T or any other non medical issue.
      Good luck & best to you in your journey.

      @@raad684 I meant the Tinnitus. Mine just started 1 month ago. I think perhaps after lots of stress on top of my anxiety that has been present for 2 years ( fight or flight, paralyzing knot in the the gut all day, cant explain it). I'm hoping the T will go away. Its faint but since I'm hyper aware it tough to ignore 100%. I dont knkw why It happened. No loss of hearing per audiologist. But I'm hoping it will go away. I dont know if it's the nerves in brain being "tired" of stress and creating the sound or if its nerves in ear? Do you have any tips? Thank you.

      @@raad684 in addition to my reply below, do you avoid loud places and environments as to give your system some rest? Someone mentioned wearing cotton balls all day as a means to really dampen all sounds.

    This is how we can trained our mind this is the sound u need to ignore & after sometime this sound will become less annoying & negligible.
    There r lots of sounds we used to ignore during daily life , we just to ignore 1 more

    One quick question, my husband had tinnitus he is so laid back about it, not like me. He doesnt care about it, doesnt affect him at all. Yet his hasn't gone? Just wondering why? If it isnt a stressed for him. His was caused by nosie trauma. I totally get if its stress and anxiety that keeps it going, it's just he isnt at all so I wonder why he still has it. Thanks
