sorry to be so off topic but does any of you know a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost my password. I would appreciate any help you can give me
@Derek Brandon Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
I level upped my laziness. For sparge water I use my cheap Sous Vide wand to heat and hold the temp. I have one because I like to pretend I know what I'm doing in the kitchen and the cambro that came with holds the volume I need. The other super awesome lazy life pro tip: I got the Whirlpool attachment for my Brewzilla and just swap the recirc arm for it with about 15 minutes left in the boil when I add the IC that came with it. When I start running the chiller after the boil is done I kick on the pump and let the whirlpool arm stir the wort passed the IC coils and I go clean a few bottles in the garage
You braj's are great I watch all your videos even the old ones. Funny af...down to earth and very informative. Definitely thinking about this rig after the holidays are over. 🤘
I stumbled across this video because I'm shopping around looking to buy a turn key all grain setup and was hoping to find an informative video... but just the fact that you guys have a metal version of the flash man theme song from megaman 2 as your opening theme forced me give this a thumbs up before watching anything past the intro. Cheers!
I decided on this one simply because I feel like they're the only one's who are trying to get you all you need at once. There are much more "premium" systems out there, but they try so hard to nickel and dime you with accessories that should have been included in the first place, looking at you Spike/SSbrewco. The clawhammer is amazing too, but it's not $1600 (for 240v) amazing, I don't care how cool it is. The Anvil comes out of the box with the option for 120/240. It's fuckin sweet.
Good review guys - nice looking kit. I've been brewing in a 50 litre Hopcat which is similar, and I think it's great and was only £350, half the price of a 30 litre Grainfather and a quarter of the price of the new 70 litre model. All in one systems are The Tits, makes brewday super easy.
Absolutely LOVED your video. Wife asked what I want for Christmas. This is it. I've been home brewing - totally old school - for 30 years. Time to move up and make brewing easier. Thank you for this video!!!
just kegged the fist batch of smash beer from the foundry and could not be happier with the result! definitely a mbc brew! will post recipe later. cheers brajs
You still like this thing? I put a deposit down at my local homebrew store. Finally going all grain after 14 years of partial mash. Also if you ever come to Greenville SC hit me up.
I have an older model bought it scratch and dent discount. It ain't pretty but it works good. I use it for my smaller batches. My 25 gallon tower of power brew easy is my baby.
I have the 6.5gal system. I brewed less than a dozen batches in it before it randomly died on me the other day between the mash and the boil. It's on its way to Anvil to be looked at right now. But, otherwise I've had no qualms except that the cooling coil is entirely too short even for the 6.5gal setup. Luckily, I already have another stainless steel wort chiller with a longer neck so that it can actually reach the bottom. The wort chiller that came with the kit barely reaches down to the 3 gallon level (and it's supposed to be for brewing 2.5-3gal batches). I noticed you didn't use the metal clamp the kit comes with (which I believe goes downstream of the pump) to slow down the rate of flow. I noticed you said around 8:23 to use the ball valve to slow down the rate of flow. Since other viewers on here may end up following your method, I wanted to ask if partially closing the valve upstream of the pump rather than downstream will put undue stress on your pump?
yeah electric will always have more liabilities than gas. We tried to brew last week and the power went out and ruined brew day haha. And yes, we use the metal clamp kit now. Always have the valve opened entirely when recirculating. I'd also recommend milling grain 2x on this system (wort drops out fast when you pull up mash basket)
@@HOMEBREW4LIFE Really, 2X? I just bought a grain mmill 4 or 5 batches ago and have always been afraid of messing with the crush. Will it not get stuck if it's milled twice (I run recirc too, otherwise my efficiency plummets)?
I think they're just manufacturing small batches of them, so preorders always sell out. I just have the page kept saved in a tab on Chrome and refresh it once a day to see if they'll open up the preorders, but they've been good with the emails a few days prior stating when the next batch of preorders will open up. Either way, looking forward to trying mine out.
Looks a solid piece of kit. I use a 50l 'brew devil' similar thing not twin walled though. And the pump is internal. Fun fact. Fill up with water and heat. Put the stainless chiller in, circulate paddling pool water for an hour . Heated pool, because er.. england Cheers 🍺
Mine will be here Thursday. It's nice you got a free one. I see alot of comments from people like myself buying after watching this. They should of given you an affiliate link out of it. You explain how it works alot better than others. And you didn't spend a half hour unboxing saying what's in the box.
I am wondering... What if the heating element ever goes out, will Anvil replace it, or can you go to a plumber's supply or home depot to get a new one?
What is the efficiency you get from it? My 3 vessel gets 75-80 true mash efficiency with a 70-75% brew house efficiency. I would expect it to be lower due to sparge. Experiment time… can you mash the grain with all the needed water. Mash, raise out the grain basket to sparge and then recirc to rinse the grain without adding water? Curious on what efficiency would be at.
So what's the price comparison for regular biab? $50 for Home Depot cooler, $30 for ball valve, $10 for bag, $100-250 for boil kettle, $50 for immersion chiller, $50 for propane tank (if you don't already have one), $50 for a gas burner? Seems like for only a little bit more than you could spend batch sparging in a cooler you can get this thing, assuming you're starting from scratch.
Sup Fam, just ordered the Anvil 10.5! Been on my list for about a year, thanks to the casino I can afford to pull the trigger on it and start brewing electric!
Nice video braj! Did the recirculation kit not come with a hose "pinch" clamp assembly? You should restrict the output on those pumps not the input, but it looks like it worked.. TWO WORD bro... ND Filter!! The 1.8 was baking the sensor with light!! Great lens though!! 👍🍻

I not sure why the pump is needed? I 'm new to all grain brewing and I bought a mash and boil system and it doesn't have a circulating pump. Do I need to buy one?
My question for this system is, does it compensate for boiling in high altitudes? I live in Colorado and I hit a boil at 202. Other systems I've seen falts out if you set to boil under 220 or 212. I've tried contacting Anvil for a few months and not getting an answer about it

You have to really push it till you hear/feel a pop. That was the problem. Just wanted to post this in case someone else has the same problem & googles it. Cheers HB4L.

I was wondering if you guys know how to make triple fruited sour beers and if you can possible make a video tutorial using this same brewing system 🤔
years ago... sorry man but i haven't brewed with fruit in years
