Oh no!!! I felt the pain mate, it could have been a big Sambo, that run was similar to the one I had in North Mole. Just be careful on the rocks mate. Good run🎉🎉🎉🎉

Again what a spot, it was my go to place for a catch. The good bait makes all the difference. As for stopping that fish its hard when you a fighting the fish and trying to rock hop at the same time with keeping tension on the line if you had of made it to the point you would of get him for sure. Again why i suggest a overhead reel it will stop most if not all big things.

Hi, love your videos! I'm pretty amateur and just had a question why you don't tie braid straight to swivel? I'm guessing you tie braid to mono leader with FG knot then to swivel?
Hey mate 👋 I’m also pretty amateur I can’t even tie a FG knot 😂👍🏻 double uni is all I use from braid to leader and never had any issues that’s why I haven’t bothered learning the FG 😂 I think braid to swivel is no good as the braid tends to slip on the swivel more then mono would. Also you want some leader there too allow for stretch and a little more abrasive then the braid is 👍🏻 thanks heaps for watching mate appreciate it 👍🏻✅
Great vid Jack, I moved to your local area from NZ 3 months ago and have been buying fishing gear to get into the local scene. I have fished that breakwater once before ( no luck ) have you tried for squid off that breakwater before ? Hope to meet up one day, keep the videos coming as I have learn't a lot from watching.

Hey mate 👋 I find that wall on the ocean side to fish very challenging, it’s ok in the summer when it’s calm and no swell fishing for smaller species but I reckon in the winter that wall is a tough gig for sure 😅👍🏻 thanks heaps for watching mate really appreciate it ✅✅
Hey mate 👋 I use 6/0 or 7/0 hooks, I feel like 4/0 can be worth while using though as skippy or tailor would have a much easier time eating that size, I just always go a bit bigger in the hopes for that massive dream fish 😅🎣 thanks for watching & good luck out there man

I had that problem before in Northmole. Some fish likes to get out of the bay as soon as it realises that’s hooked up. I guess we will never know what fish it was 😢

Years back a 10ft bronze whaler was caught up near the boat ramp could have been anything taking you for a run wouldn’t immediately say ray.

I don't think that was a ray think it was a fish. Get rid of that braid a get some Schneider clear line it's really hard wearing line.
