I assume that guys are more straightforward than girls. I tend to notice, when a guy is interested in a girl, he'll go for it, whereas a girl doesn't necessarily go for it. I think it's even more noticeable in same-sex relationships. I remember it when my boyfriend and I asked each other out, it went pretty directly and straightforward. On the contrary, in lesbian relationships, I've heard (and please note the "heard", I don't know many lesbian people, so I'm not very well informed) that a girl doesn't go very straightforward when she wants to ask another girl out. Also, I'm convinced that it's not a biological thing. I'm convinced that it's the society which pushes the guys to make the first step, and the girls to "wait". If you look at Iceland for example, which is one of the most feminist countries out there, and where gender equality is very well established and respected, women often do the first step, as I've heard. So yeah, I think we should teach boys to be respectful, and not let them "teach" themselves by watching/reading some questionable things.

I assume that guys are more straightforward than girls. I tend to notice, when a guy is interested in a girl, he'll go for it, whereas a girl doesn't necessarily go for it. I think it's even more noticeable in same-sex relationships. I remember it when my boyfriend and I asked each other out, it went pretty directly and straightforward. On the contrary, in lesbian relationships, I've heard (and please note the "heard", I don't know many lesbian people, so I'm not very well informed) that a girl doesn't go very straightforward when she wants to ask another girl out.
Also, I'm convinced that it's not a biological thing. I'm convinced that it's the society which pushes the guys to make the first step, and the girls to "wait". If you look at Iceland for example, which is one of the most feminist countries out there, and where gender equality is very well established and respected, women often do the first step, as I've heard.
So yeah, I think we should teach boys to be respectful, and not let them "teach" themselves by watching/reading some questionable things.
