I love it :) you seem like a really kind hearted person. You don't have everything in the world but you make with what you do have and have an amazing time doing it. Thanks you bro
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does anybody know a tool to get back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost the login password. I would love any tricks you can offer me.
Congratulations! I just had to subscribe after seeing how you diagnosed and methodically went through each step.Wonderful editing also. What a great job and positive attitude.Thank you so much for sharing with everyone. Hope your wifes foot has healed. Safe Riding!
Great set of videos! Really well done. I have a 2003 wr450f and I've leaned a lot watching you fix your bike. I'm just learning how to do the maintenance myself so this is pure gold. Going to attempt rejetting the carb soon, we'll see how that goes! Thank you.
Great work my friend , very inspiring, you know, attitude during these kinds of projects is EVERYTHING, I can appreciate your tenacity and positive outlook ! good job and enjoy the time spent riding her ! ! ! Much Love ! ! ! !
For what you have into it, that's a great bike. Although this is an old series, it was a great thing to watch on a leisurely Friday afternoon. Congrats.
Really love your vids and problem solving skills and lets give it a go mentality , I was very much the same as a young bloke like yourself , little money and just a few tools. I've had over 100 bikes and never had a single one to a shop for repairs..... could never afford their prices , but it taught me how to do it myself and gave me a can do attitude just like yourself. One thing I didn't have was a Jenny...... she is freekin awesome and so supportive...... what a gal.
THANK YOU!!! LOL I learned more from watching you rip everything down then half the how to videos. I have such a better understanding of the inner workings then before. These new bikes are a whole different animal then the old bikes in my day. Good luck with everything and Thanks
Good job man, that's what I like to see someone fixin up a bike that no one cared about. Take care of her she deserves it Nice bike! Keep up the good work
Congratulations ! Your time, effort ,perseverance ,and hard work paid off .You brought a pretty strong running thumper YAMAHA YZ426 back to life from abandonment and neglect !I think you did outstanding for the money invested !Watched all 6 clips and enjoyed seeing you bring her back from the dirt bike reaper ! You've got a nice piece of land to ride that baby on too in the lower gears but I'm sure your going to want to stretch her legs a bit further . Ride on brother !
Your bike is more than the sum of its parts. You have given it a new lease on life. The enjoyment of something like this is a lot like the MasterCard commercial, $600.00 for the bike, $200.00 for parts, enjoyment PRICELESS. You are in it for a modest amount of cash and sweat equity.. I enjoyed the series....
Awesome ending!! I really enjoyed the series. I have an yamaha XJ550 that I'm fixin up and your project videos have helped motivate me to keep pressin on. Keep up the good work!!
Someone may have already told you, but a good pair of riding boots are well worth the investment. The 100 bucks you pay is well worth the protection they offer your shins and feet.
Great series of videos. I guess I got lucky. I paid 1300 for my 2002 YZ426F. Did not take the typical advice and replace piston and chain. Just reg maintenance and rode 'er like I stole it. Raced a handful of times last year. She's just a damn good running bike. Btw, glad to see you got the start-up drill down. Once you know, it's pretty easy to start.
Great test ride. I miss my dirt bike days. I just turned 60. The 70s were so much fun. I rode Bultacos. I always liked Yamahas. The first with the unishock.
Hey mate that was a really really good series I throughly enjoyed it! I learnt so much and I inspire to make a chanel just like this series even though I dont have hardly any motorcycle mechanical knolage but it was very fun to watch. Would love to see you and your wife out on the trails to! Keep the awesome vids coming!
Very impressed with your work. I Completely rebuilt a 99 yz400f (practically the same bike) so I knew exactly what you were in for at the start of this series. And sure enough you quickly and properly diagnosed the problems like you've owned the bike for years. Glad to see another fellow dirt biker who actually cares! Kudos! Keep that baby runnin
Needs some packing for sure but man that chain too! I didn't notice at first but that rust keeps staring at me. Maybe I missed it in one of the last videos but sure can work it out easy enough. Thanks for all the videos they are awesome!
Im a GSX-R750 rider and Im about to buy a WR426 or a XR 400, I enjoyed alot watching all videos and Im really happy to see you riding at the end. Congratulations!
that's sick bro glad you accomplished getting it back to life! ill definatly be doing my share of restorations when i have my own house, tools, and money. love restoration and great deals !
Binge watched that playlist... Great content! Cringed myself on that shim valve adjustment, my ZZR rots in the shed because there are 16 valves need adjustment like that! Measuring the play, taking out the camshafts, measuring the shims, calculate the needed ones, put it back together, measure again...maybe the same process again... Not to mention the work to get into the place to measure something, removing tank, airbox, carb bank... :-P Had an XTZ660 before the ZZR, the same 5-valve-layout but with rockers, wa s a joy to adjust the valves, removing two covers and adjust really oldschool, with feeler gauge and ring wrench! :-D I think in bikes i will stay with 2strokes and if i want something more complicated, i start wrnching on my Transit connect diesel... :-D Have fun and keep on with your good vids! :-)
Loved these projects. Please make more of these 4-strokes, because i don't know anything about them. would you mind making a "instruction" video about them? :) I know everything about 2 strokes, but all the valves and shit, its hard man :p
i really want to see u ride in the trails or on a race course and really show what u can do you always saying u have been rideing dirty bikes for a very long time and plus it would be kinda cool to have a vlog type style type offroad ride
My 2002 yz426 wont start. I had the valves shimmed, the carb cleaned and rebuilt, put a new timing chain on and everything. also found antifreeze in my oil. think it could be the head gasket or water pump?
Ludic - Modder it's either your head gasket or a cracked head....thats the only way water/coolant can get into the oil.do a leakdown test. it will tell you where your issue is
happened to my wr426f, same engines, it'll either be the water pump shaft or seal, mine was the shaft, it had worn down and coolant was leaking between the shaft and the bearings
Hey might buy a Yamaha yz426f 2001 this weekend for 1100 let me know if that's a good price for it. The guy told me no problems well maintained and had it for racing. Would appreciate the feedback. thanks!
Oscar Perez If its 100% all there and super clean $1100 sounds ok, otherwise walk away or if you still want it start things off at $650 and see if you can get a deal. People always say its perfect with no problems. Trust only what you see, and the way it rides.
I find it cool that the radiators on the yz426 bikes can run on water. my dad owns a 2002 Yamaha yz426 and he drives and comes back with longer hair. I'm only 13 but I want to ride it a lot. I need to get used to my bike first though. I own a 2003 Yamaha ttr230 and haven't drivin it yet. I have some parts to get for it though. it's only electric start and I don't have the keys. yes I realize the owner of my dad's bike.
Man I have to say you really out did yourself on that bike and under $300? Bravo! Get some graphics on that beast and it will be back to its former glory
Dude i ran across your videos looking for clutch cable info...long story short i watch 4 or 5 hours worth of you breaking stuff down and what appeared to be effortless reassembly. ....i know you edit but im impressed. ...intend on watching more...thankyou .im impressed.
@@ryanhosted3051 Nah 426 doesn't have that much torque. Some 450cc has torque. Ktm sx 520cc has alot of torque. A 426cc handles almost like a two stroke. It's all about that power band. Replace that air filter, it looks really greasy and nasty! Keep the vids coming. I've learned a ton by watching your stuff. Great camera work and narrative.
Can you use regular 10 40 from the parts store, or does it have to be for motorcycles? Just bought some from the motorcycle shop, and @14 bucks a quart rather not again lol
hey man great videos just watched them from start to finish and I feel that you got a great deal I just bought a 2000 yz426f for 1100 so yah. how did you know how to do everything that was mighty impressive. anyways great videos hope to see more.

Congratulations! I don't have a motorcycle, but I just enjoyed watching the problem solving and victory.
No it doesn't need new packing 426s are really loud bikes
Same here! To see him taking it apart, fixing it, putting it back together and finally riding it is just satisfying.
👌
I love it :) you seem like a really kind hearted person. You don't have everything in the world but you make with what you do have and have an amazing time doing it. Thanks you bro

quite a few videos on this one but worth every minute spent watching them all, thanks for sharing
Nice work man really impressed at how cheap you managed to make it run perfect
+DelMotoVids Yeah, the bike turned out to be ok. Thanks!
just needs one more thing....packing in that exhaust lol.
No way!! that packing just blocks everyone knowing to get the hell out of the way of the speeding freight train coming up on them!!!!

I would of replaced the gasket and used a new oil filter but I really like how you're able to make what you have work.
i could ride around on a bike like that all day... so much fun!
Sounds beautiful
That thing sounds SWEET without packing. Probably makes a bit more power without it too.
I learn a lot watching ur videos. Not like the other cooks on you tube.
You do better work with one hand than I can with two!
great video nice to see a bike not going to waste
i really want to see u ride in the trails or on a race course and really show what u can do you always saying u have been rideing dirty bikes for a very long time and plus it would be kinda cool to have a vlog type style type offroad ride

Excellent job. Just picked myself up a yz426 02 model for $300. In pieces though lol. Cant wait to put her together
+Grant Ziz A Bargain!!!
Wow that looks like a ton of fun, I wish I had tires that grippy on my kx450f cause all she does is spin XD
Thoroughly enjoyed the whole series. The payoff ride was great.
I got one of these not long ago it’s my third bike. And it’s an animal.
i love that rare yz426f sound!!!
mechanical symphony!
KOSx15 that thing sounds bad. It needs the silencer re-packed really bad.
Collin Robertson if a bad silencer sounds like that then I hope all my silencers go bad cause that sounds better than any other 4 stroke I've heard
Jim Bob Seriously??? That thing sounds like ass. That silencer needs repacked SO BAD!
Arron Dentinger I dunno man, it has a weird tone to it. I kinda like it.

GREAT SERIOUS OF HOW TO ON THE AULD YAMMY!
LOVING IT FROM IRELAND.
MORE PLZ.
I watched the whole series today. Liked it
Nice work and a nice finished product. I would love to see you do the same thing to an old Bultaco, it has to be yellow.
your 6 vid series was soo cool! i loved it and learnt a lot!
Sweet bike dude good job working on it!
Thanks!
$870 is a good price in my opinion, you got yourself a nice bike man!

Man I have to say you really out did yourself on that bike and under $300? Bravo! Get some graphics on that beast and it will be back to its former glory
