- All motor Phong is an inspiration to all of us. I put this together with some videos he’s sent from long ago and some that we have had. I hope you enjoy seeing him live his passion and never quit pushing for his goals. We also walk around the shop check out some projects and play in the snow.

I'm sure I speak for the majority of true fans when I say that WE WANT MORE FONG!
He is the perfect man to add some genuine NA tunes to the channel (thus growing your appeal to a wider audience) AND he brings MAX BOOST when it comes to Off -the-wall Shenanigans!
The clutch/flywheel exploded because of the 2-3-2 shift. An over-rev loosens the flywheel and pressure plate bolts and throws the entire assembly off balance. Realistically with these stroker motors, the crank is hurt as well. Make sure you guys check that motor top to bottom before putting another trans on there or the next breakage will be a LOT more expensive!
I second this. Thought the same thing after the misshift over rev.
Sounded to me like he had the problem in the staging lanes. Phong even said so himself. If you listen to the video during his 1st pass vs. 2nd pass, his staging routine changed because it was hurt. Sounded like he tried to save the pass by putting it in neutral while Kyle crept into the beams, then phong quickly 2stepped it - shoved it in gear - then dropped the clutch. By that time he salvaged all he could.
He knew it was hurt, but he sent it for the fans... Good on him!

After he said he hit 2nd instead of 4th I was like I wonder how it didn't blow up. I guess we have our answer.

Phong is just a legend. A true garage wizard. F&F mechanic, but better and real.
Spend 10 minutes with him and you'll probably learn 10 things only 1% of mechanics know.
Plus he likes to chug maple syrup. :D

Clay Wakefield I'm not sure if he said trans fluid, but he was talking about pouring fluid into each intake port and measuring it so each port can be made equal in volume, the same process is also performed on combustion chambers
715101 Im soo impressed with Phongs all motor build. The four ITB’s like an old school hotrod triple-deuce. its like nothing ive ever seen. Im a V8 guy, but if Phongs style could be incorporated into an LS build i think that would be pure magic!! Watching that CRX on the dyno was bonkers!

For the PT cruiser; if it keeps loosing timing sync; use an oscilliscope on the cam sensor; its a special magnet; and it can loose pattern easily sometimes; If you have access to an oscilliscope; youll be able to cross reference with the pattern from the diagnostic manual.

Phong should get a scatter shield for his transmission once he rebuilds it , and maybe run a k20a2 oil pump on his k24. Just gotta grind down that little hump on it to make it fit to a k24. Was so bummed when he had clutch issues cause his car had a mid 10 second pass in it for sure. Glad to see he's gonna put some kind of cage in it now to. Would hate to see him have a bad crash. Even tho he's got mad driving skills. Great sneak peek at all the upcoming shop projects going on as well. I'll be tuned in for the upcoming vids for sure.
