Currently on sertraline 25mg for my anxiety and ocd. I’m 34 years old and I can truly say that it has helped me immensely, I’ve had only positive thoughts. I’m the happiest I have ever been in my whole entire life. My mind is finally calm and quiet. 🙏
Wonderful! I like hearing stories like this - when everything seems to come together. All the best.!!
Pharmacist Conversations This gives me hope, I just started my dose of 50 mg today.
How long did it take to work?
Do you have feel agitation restless after use setraline zoloft ?
so amazing. Or you still good? I started 2 days ago. Kinda scared hehe:)
I’m taking Zoloft 50mg, I used to be super nervous about the most simplest things in life, that it was effecting my quality of life. And Zoloft has helped me stopped feeling that way so much and I feel like doing more things out of my comfort zone again 👍🏻
Yes it’s a god sent medicine
Hi Joel. I’m on 50 mg as well and it’s been 12 days. How long did it take you to feel the positive effects after you started using it? I still have high anxiety. Thanks!
Same
@@bkorulu the effects started for me the same day I started tbh
@@bkorulu to be honest it took about 6 weeks. Most people it takes about a month. But for me some reason it took a little longer
I started taking 50 MG in late (dec 2019) after having a burnout from work and the pressures of life. I still felt somewhat sad, and had some bad thoughts (against myself) so she upped my dose to 100Mg, and after that I went through the Pandemic, a divorce, and a few other challenges and none of these thoughts came back!
I’m a christian, and strongly believe in medicine, since in my opinion, God blessed humans with knowledge to develop medicine, in other to help and cure certain conditions.
I hope one day I don’t need to take it, but will do as long as its needed
Thank you for this post Lucas. I am a newly devoted christian and I have been struggling with depression and anxiety heavily as of recent. It's affecting my day to day life and i was recommended this by my doctor. I was hesitant on taking it because I feel guilty on taking this as a christian but your comment made realize that medicine is a gift from god and decided to go through with it. Thank you and god bless!
If god gave us the power to develop medicine like anti depressants why did he wait hundreds of thousands of years of human life on earth to only let us develop these medicines now. Just a question, I’ll be intrigued to know your thoughts

Update: I bumped to 50mg one month then to 75mg the next month you have to be able to find your perfect medium, I noticed that I would get kinda irritable when it was not working for me. Now that I’m on 75mg I feel like this is my perfect medium and keeping it this way I’m not bumping up anymore. Not everyone is the same so you have to pay attention to how you feel, to know what you feel is best for you. And don’t be scared to ask for a higher or lower dose. It’s really ok. I’m a mom of two young boys and a wife. Irritability is a big no no in my life. We got to be positive and strive to get better for ourselves.
Don't be to hard on yourself though, You are still human and are allowed to not be positive at times. I have 5 kids. 2 being teens. It's not always positive lol. We are all human still, meds or not we need to vent at times.
@@edxr6949 💕💕 I understand but in my situation my irritated self would blow everything out of proportion without assessing the situation and causing me to say very hurtful things to my family that I don’t mean . My brain was wired to get extremely angry and I wouldn’t come back from being angry causing me to have high blood pressure and other medical problems. So it was becoming a clinical and mental problem that I had to fix.

Discuss with your doctor. S/He will be able to guide you. You may also check out these protocols from the National Library of Medicine.

I have cptsd and generalized anxiety disorder, death anxiety, back on sertraline, now on 150mg, might up too 200. (Max) Hope it makes me feel better
Just started taking Zoloft 50mg, it has improved my mood quite a bit, noticing an increase of general energy and better quality of sleep, less general depression symptoms. Though my bad thoughts are still there and my memory has begun to deteriorate at an unexpectedly high level, learning new things in school is becoming nigh impossible, and that was partly the reason I began to use Zoloft in the first place. Last year of high school and semester is almost up, I'm afraid that I'll have ruined any chances I could have if I don't fix these issues soon.
Question from a medical student. How come sertraline work on preventing premature ejaculation as well ? Can you explain it?

Hello, sir
I have one simple question if you can please answer it. Could Zoloft stunt or affect my growth/puberty? I am a tad bit concerned. Thank you.
Is there any dangerous effects after withdraw sertraline?
I took my first tablet a couple days ago but its made the anxiety feel worse for me and felt really fatigued.
Scared to take more.
So does it make people crazy afterwards?
Is Zoloft/ sertraline safe for the adrenals? I found some info that says it raises cortisol…is that harmful?
After dealing with severe ocd and depression since I was about 10. Being on 100 mg of sertraline along with ERP I finally feel like I'm living my own life, whilst being on medication long term does make me feel sad sometimes, I've come to live with it seeing as I really don't think I'd be here if it wasn't for medical intervention
I like ur explane
I'm on setraline 150mg from last six months. I'm feeling very well now but my doctor is still not allowing me to stop taking it. What should i do?
Thx!
I been on 50mg a day since I was 18. I'm 21 now. 1 thing I've noticed us how it effects recreational drugs. It makes me smoke more weed as you don't feel stoned on sertraline. I feel sick if I drink alcohol on sertraline, but it helps with come downs. After a weekend on mdma, a sertraline gets rid of the come down, completely gets rid of out. Think it replaces the chemicals the mdma uses up.
Had sertraline ruin acid trips for me too.
Very well said thank you. But the question is, what happens to all that serotonin if it doesn't go back?
You get stuck being hApPy f o r e v e r. I’m jk. Good question tho. 😊

@@frenchtoast6752 I stopped taking mine 😭 the side effects were rough and I had nosebleeds which nope I don’t like
I started about two weeks ago on it, I was taking 25 mg every night before bed I wasn’t really expecting any side effects but the next day I started feeling really strange, I tried to ignore it but I feel extremely nauseous, I don’t have an appetite, I feel super exhausted and have no motivation, and a few days ago I started 50 mg and feel unreal and I keep having very bad derealization and disassociating a lot, and my godd my pupils are sooo large I generally feel like I’m not even real right now like I’m outside my body but hopefully in a few more weeks I start feeling better..
It’s normal
I'm in 23 days with 50mg but some mornings I'm still very anxious, any thoughts?
This was a great explanation, thank you. My question is, when triggers the serotonin to be released and what signals it to go back?
What*
Concentration gradient , if there is low concentration of serotonin in the synapse , serotonin will be released , if there is enough serotonin a reverse feedback mechanism will decrease the serotonin by sending it back or destroying it but if you have depression your brain has poor detection of serotonin concentrations, so no serotonin may be released even if it’s too low

Please research Robert Whitaker before taking any antidepressant medication. He was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in his work on the subject. Antidepressants can work up to three or four years and then you’re worse off than you were and dependent on medication and now with side effects. His evidence based medicine research is world renowned and published. He has two books. ‘Anatomy of an epidemic’, and ‘mad in America’. Please read and be informed before doing this to your brain and body.

Hi. Thanks for the video.
Does sertraline also helps on
Easy nervous and general anxiety?
I asked doctor for paroxetin and got sertralin. Thanks.
Sertalin is Zoloft
Paroxetine has very severe withdrawal effects. Withdrawal from Sertraline is not easy either. You should try fluoxetine first, because that's the safest. And yes, Sertraline will make numb, confident and absolutely anxiety free but it takes time.
Yes thanks.
Been on sertralin for 2 months.
Went from 50 to 100 mg
For maybe 3 weeks now.
Maybe can feel minimal effects.
Still don't feel I get better confidence. Social anxiety hard to try now with the virus going on.
Mood. Used to only see Grey.
Maybe minimal better.
Maybe I have little grade of autism also?
Increase to 150 mg for another two weeks. If that doesn't work, you need to switch medication. Your doctor may suggest escitalopram or venlafaxine, or as a last resort paroxetine.
@@anisahmed1102 thanks respond. he just told me, if not the 100 mg works, it is not the medic I need 😕. But I also read that different medication works different on people...
