I made the move from Samsung Galaxy S7 to OnePlus 5 and I have to say, it was absolutely worth it. I have had the OP5 for a month and this is my load down. Don't get me wrong, S7 was a great phone, but the OP5 is so much better. OP5 took the best from Apple and Android, and made a solid phone. Battery life is on point and Dash Charging puts it over the edge. The customization with the everything is fantastic. The OS is just clean. I am a very pleased customer. Oh, one more thing. Headphone jack.

Are you good at understanding what are strong qualities in a phone (just wondering)? I'm debating on the oneplus 5, the lg v30, and the xiaomi mix 2 and i have friends who recommend the one plus five but I suppose the phone is on the lower end spectrum compared to the other two. I'm wondering if you could give any more input! Thanks!
I can't recommend OnePlus phones enough. You really don't have to buy anything more expensive than that if you ask me. I don't know much about the LG V30, but as for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, you won't have anywhere near the support you can get from OnePlus. Xiaomi makes great products, but it isn't that well established outside of China. Especially compared to OnePlus, which clearly aims for and has a global customer base.

I'm still rocking my 3T, and honestly other than some charger port issues, it's been great. The camera really feels outdated, it's a little slow, but the battery is amazing.

Got a 128GB HDD 8GB ram OnePlus 5 today, upgrading from a Samsung S5, must say this is a fantastic phone, was around $200 cheaper than the S8 and as he says, if you get past the infinity screen it's honestly worth your while. Plus the phone is very reactive and no lag spikes no matter how much is running. I only just heard about OnePlus yesterday in store. Certainly will be looking forward to their future work as they come more prominent in the market. As for the camera, it's very clear, absolutely ideal for what I need my camera for.

I upgraded from an S5 as well, best move I ever made. My S5 was slowing down, prone to crashes and was generally no longer reliable, haven't had a single problem with the OP5 since day 1!

Still using my OnePlus 5.. it's been 4.5 years and my battery still lasts for an entire day, phone is super smooth... Never had any issues.. have played PUBG alot on this as well...

I made the decision to upgrade to this phone from my Galaxy Note 3, and so far it's been the best decision I could've made. 1080p is more than enough for me since my eyes aren't electron microscopes and I hold my phone at a reasonable distance from my face.

I don't think he's gonna review it. My guess is that HTC took his U Ultra video pretty seriously and didn't want him to review their U11, which was also a mistake because it's actually a pretty good phone. But it could be also that MKBHD ignored it on purpose.

The 8 gigs of memory isn't immediately that useful, but that's just because the Android OS and the apps for it are still in the interim phases of interoperability optimisation.
There is stuff coming down the line pretty soon where it could be quite important. System virtualization is one such form of technology that would benefit greatly from access to larger contiguous memory increments, and even be impossible with 4 gig memory thresholds.
Also that extra memory could become very quickly useful in one of the most quickly developing markets, which is mobile games. Pretty much the same as it is useful for full-fledged computers.
Even high res video playback can gain a lot from temporary storage in larger raw memory buffers. Really it's not because that extra memory couldn't be useful right now, it's because the OS and software is still in its infancy, and does not efficiently use the hardware resources that are based on more 'matured' technology.
You can keep like 30 apps open without having to restart them

Love my oneplus 5, everything i need, love how they are not over priced, and not slowing down if you have it for a longer time. One bad thing was, oneplus 3 that i had, the camera stopped working properly and mic aswell. Back to oneplus 5, battery(9/10), design (9/10), camera (9/10), aux, speed( 9/10). All really good for such price!

Man I really really love this phone and guess what it's still running up till this day... The best ever smartphone I ever owned... Even though I moved to the galaxy s22 ultra 2 months back I still use my op5 for social media and other browsing... The phone is just perfect and really well built... Worth every dollar spent on it

epicstacker413 I agree but u have to keep in mind that OnePlus is not a company with millions of die hard loyal fans.They are a company still in it's early years and are competing in a space where there are so many good options that it becomes hard to justify similar designs.Android has so many options that having a phone that feels a bit similar makes it harder to justify
