Hey Dimitri, I noticed something on the Photos from the review, you were in Bulgaria! I was so surprised when I read "Воденицата" and "Драгалевци". I hope you and your lovely miss enjoyed your stay in my home country, especially our cuisine. You also survived the horrible traffic and streets as well, congrats! Really happy that you have chosen Bulgaria as a destination for the hollidays. Great videos, you not only bring useful information for the products that you review, but also a smile to my face!

Don't know in the USA, but here in Germany people are going crazy over the new smartphone from Huaweii, the Mate Pro 10. What do you think about it?

I think the Mate 10 (non pro) would be a better option since it has 4000mAh battery and a MicroSD card slot. Also the fingerprint sensor is not in a weird position.

Holy s**t! The OnePlus Camera Showcase was bloody outstanding in terms of editing and camera shots!
Stunning cinematography in that intro Dimitri, absolutely love it, it kinda gave me a 2001: A Space Odyssey vibe with the monolith style shot of the phone.
As to the phone, it does so much right, but once I saw the comparison shots between the Pixel 2 and the 5T, I couldn't accept how soft the photos were, they looked really bad in comparison, and as someone who loves taking close up shots of flowers and nature shots around where I live, and capturing photos of our cat, it is a deal breaker for me.
I also disagree with your assessment of the 1080p image stabilisation being good, it was objectively worse than the 4k video (maybe it was disabled when switching to 1080p?)
I wish we had a refresh of the Nexus 6P, with water resistance, better screen to size ratio, wireless charging, and the camera of the Pixel 2 XL, along with a SD835, that would be my perfect phone.
This is probably the most in-depth review of this phone I've seen. You make it look like everyone else just gave up looking for customization options and basically said that they don't exist, just because they couldn't find them. Really dig the intro and, being from Vancouver, love the name of the channel.

absolutely phenomenal intro! even when using the split screen to show yourself in different places at once I couldn't see where the separation was even with the falling snow. Other than that the video quality and cinematography was fantastic.

Hey I just want to point out, you actually can make the shelf into a "google now" , by removing the current things on the shelf, and just by adding the google app as a widget. You can even Map double-tap on the home button to go to the shelf, enabling google at any point in a second. its pretty great man

I think you get a wider field of view when EIS is disabled because EIS works by using the outer edges of the image it sees as a buffer into which it can move the image it records to counter small movements.

Mine should be arriving in a couple days. I actually chose the 5T to be my first ever android phone. Been using iOS since 2008 and have been wanting to try android for a long time now.
not only did they keep the 3.5mm jack, it also still supports aptX HD for when you don't feel like going wired

You can't find content where the beginning of smartphone reveies is a great movie-like clip. That's why i love HWC

Damn dude, great video. I feel slight regret for not waiting that extra month for the 5T, but the G6 that I got is fairly similar, only 100€ cheaper.

Yeah the G6 is okay... I guess (I sold mine after a month), but that 100€ difference for the 5T kills the G6 in every aspect. Totally worth it imo.

Sick review bro. I got my 1+5T yesterday adn I think it's great. The only downside for me is the 1080p resolution although it's not a huge issue. I actually chose the 1+5T over the S8 even though they both cost the same here in the UK because the 1+5T has got better software and a longer lasting battery.

A very interesting review... Especially that point you made about the facial recognition not working if you're wearing glasses... You're the first person to mention this.. This is important info to know and i have to think of o want to purchase. I wonder if the S8 or iPhone 10 facial recognition have a similar problem...

If you want specs, go for the OnePlus 5T, while if what you want is Features like Face Recognition and Google Lens, go for the other two (Google Pixel 2 and iPhone X)

Cool intro. Still think the s8 is a better deal at 575 during the holidays but love the design of the OP5T.
It's probably cropping the sensor resolution in 1080p mode for the electronic stabilization.

Great review. I wish One Plus would just make a version of their phones with a microSD card slot instead of a dual-SIM. The percentage of people who use that in the US are tiny. Then I would absolutely consider switching from my iPhone.
