I hate high waisted pants/jeans. I don't own any, and never will. I think they look hideous. Mid rise pants/jeans are OK, and don't bother my navel piercing, which is inverse, and in the lower part of my navel. I still have a lot of low rise pants/jeans as well. (Jan Griffiths).

I have 3 of the piercings mentioned in this video----Navel (inverse), Nostril (both sides), and Tragus (both ears). I have never had any issues with any of them. And all of them are old---navel is 41 years, nostrils 35+ years, and tragus(es), nearly 30 years. I'm just lucky, I guess. Don't have the guts to get an industrial, and can't have a daith due to the anatomy of my ears. I still enjoy my piercings very much, and still clean them twice daily with sterile saline solution. Another great video, you guys. Keep 'em coming. (Jan Griffiths).

@@jentyson7033 that comes from using cheap crappy jewelry, use surgical steel, gold, or titanium just like you would in a cartilage piercing (I hope at least...) and it won't turn green. Or at least get new cheap jewelry that has the rhodium plating still intact, though this will eventually wear off and do the same thing.

I got my tragus pierced about a year ago and I remember not being able to listen to music for months. I got so frustrated that on the fifth month I forced an earbud into my left ear and despite the pain I felt so satisfied to finally bless myself with some music. However, I had many problems afterwards with infections and bumps. My tragus was so swollen I thought that I f-ed up real good this time. Thankfully, now I have zero issues with it and no trace of bumps. I love my tragus and it was so worth it. Wish I had a little bit more patience tho :/

I got my conch and my Tragus pierced same day. The only time I had any type of pain was the first day, it just felt pressure. 4 months later still no pain. I think it has to do where you go to, from watching lulus videos I followed their recommendation and went to an all piercing shop only. I read hundreds of reviews. It really does have to do with the piercer on how it heals. I don’t mess with it I don’t touch it. I follow all the instructions that were given to me.

my tragus piercing was so easy to heal and didn’t cause me any trouble at all. it hurt when he pierced it obviously and it hurt hours after that but i didn’t sleep on it i didn’t wear earbuds in that ear and what not. i cleaned it once a day everyday and it caused me no problems, even after my piercing artist pierced it with a hoop, which he said that hoops are best for all piercings and that’s why he doesn’t let his clients choose jewelry. that’s just my experience personally.

Now, my rook piercing! God it’s been 8 months and it still bothers me if I accidentally touch my ear too roughly. But i’m determined to keep it because it looks so beautiful!

I'm not an expert, but here some things I would try:
Make sure you arent putting too much salt in your salt solution (or buy a sterile ready made solution)
      Don't move it around
Clean it twice a day and otherwise leave it alone, dont touch it at all
If you think its infected, go to see a doctor
      Don't sleep on it
I hope it gets better for you

What’s crazy is my industrial was the fastest to heal out of all my 12 piercings, it literally took 3 months and it was completely healed which BLEW MY MIND because all my piercings have taken a year or more to heal. I have a Daith too and it had been 2 years and it was still not healed and oozed all the time and it wasn’t until I switched to a horseshoe rather than a curved barbell that it began to heal. The swelling went down instantly when I switched to a horseshoe and it healed within 6 months.

I have 3 out of the 5 piercings nostril, naval, and tragus. Personally neither of these piercings have caused any problems or complications the only thing I would say about the tragus is that your hair gets twisted around the jewelry but that’s just an annoyance.

Last saturday got a daith and tragus piercings. During the week I worked out, used headphones. Only when sleeping, I was super careful and was cleaning my piercings regularly. Experienced some pain in the first 3 days! After that I had no pain at all, as if I had them for a long period of time. Given that I normally have a very problematic skin that tends to react to pretty much everything, the key behind healing is good care. If you take care of yout piercings, wash yourself and clean yourself properly, you will least likely experience any problems.

Once the tragus piercing is healed enough to switch use a small Labret or Monroe. Personally I switched to a Monroe I love the rounded back it makes it easier to wear earbuds or a Bluetooth because these come in a range of sizes. Also you can buy multiple different tops because they are male ended so easy to switch @ home.

I got my nose pierced 5 years ago and all was well until literally 4 YEARS later. I developed a sinus infection and was put on an antibiotic. All of a sudden, my nose piercing started to hurt, swell and become infected. I had to go get an extra long rod jewelry put in (as the traditional ones were too short for my swollen nose) and go back to soaking it in salt water until it healed. My piecer suspected it was from the sinus infection/ antibiotics due to my body thinking the piercing was an infection along with everything else and trying to heal it. PSA to always be mindful of your piercings because they can get infected, even after 4 years with no issues!

My navel piercing did not last long AT ALL. I got it Nov 30 2019 and then ended up getting it removed in like January. I cleaned it and sprayed h2o spray but the jewelry rejected (it wasn’t bad jewelry and I’m not allergic to anything) but yeah so it literally started pushing out of my skin🤢 and I had to take it out. There’s a scar but it’s healed a ton and continues to fade away.

My septum piercing was so hard for me! I didn’t know I had a small nose until I was healing. So if my nose got bumped upwards at all it was so painful because it was hitting right on my cartilage. Two years later it’s all good now! I love it.

Why is a curved barbell wrong for the daith piercing? I had terrible pressure bumps after getting it pierced w a ring, and when I changed it to a curved barbell the bumps shrunk so much.

My lip was a bit of a pain in the ass for me personally. It only took a few weeks to heal, but it frequently got irritated, scabbed, etc. It felt like the world's biggest canker sore on the inside of my lip. (yes, I kept it clean, soaked it, etc.)

It tool a full 2 years for my industrial to fully heal. It kept getting infected on and off and required the changing of a barbell to horseshoes to allow the problematic hole to heal while retaining the other one before being able to change back to the bar.

Got my daith pierced June 13th on the left ear I use over the ear headphones and it doesn’t hurt at all. I just find that it’s difficult to clean because I can’t see the holes cause it’s in a hidden spot. I try to use another mirror but still... after having my two lobes and helix my helix is the most annoying to heal but daith is the hardest to clean correctly

Amethyst Dowling when I first got my Daith, I would just make the soap very soapy and plop it on that part of the earring so the soap would get to it. I used the gold liquid dawn soap.

I’m a body piercer and I do agree with the industrial, but literally everything else is just customers being negligent and not taking care of the healing piercing. You can give them everything they need to know to have a happy healed piercing, but you can’t fix stupid.

I am surprised tragus is on the list for the reason you have stated. I use a labret 16g. I am in an industrial trade and wear custom fit plugs 8-12 hours a day. I also on occasion wear 'earbuds' It has done really well. I have had it for 8-10 years at this point. The flat back makes all the difference. Might be the exception. Who knows. Also was the least painful of all piercings I have. like 0/10.(shrugs)
The industrial though...my god. Worst pain of my life.

i wear over the ear headphones and have a fresh tragus, but my headphones are big and dont touch the piercing bc they basically go like.. AROUND my entire ear, and i dont like earbuds, so im assuming imma be fine then.

I have most of these 🤣 It’s funny because my nostril was probably one of my least problematic because I don’t touch my face a lot, only issue is they put one of those stupid studs in that falls out of a night so that extended my healing time but I heal fast anyway. My tragus was probably the second most painful after my tongue. My daith was okay, healed in sufficient time and hasn’t given me any issues

I’ve had my conch pierced for 13 months now and still have issues with it. I’m a side sleeper so I think that was a huge irritator for it. But it’s been a nightmare tbh. Made me swear off getting any more cartilage piercings

over time after getting my industrial done i grew to be more careful about it because i wear a headset all the time and i would forget i have it so i would accidently pull on it whenever i took off my headset then it would be even more irratated and eventually it got infected but now that it healed its completely fine no irritation or pain and i can wear my headset with no problems took me only 5 months but it was worth it

All of my piercings were perfectly fine, except my tragus. It’s hard to sleep on, it’s hard to clean your ears, or put the back on to the earring. & if you have a longer earring, it blocks your hole, so it effects your hearing a little bit. 🙄

Omg I love my tragus piercing, I got it done in January and now it’s June so it’s been six months since I have had it and let me tell you lol I have gotten two bumps during that time. When I would get a bump and treat it , it would go away then come back and I would never sleep on it, clean it twice a day, never wear earphones and when I did clean it try not to move the jewelry and you know the bump still came back 😒 A tragus piercing is sensitive and requires patience during the healing process.

I never had problems with my Daith or Tragus piercing. It’s because I wear a special cord to my cochlear implant and it doesn’t involve plugging into my ear. It’s on the implant when I listen to music. Both of those piercing healed within 6 months.

  • @Ashley-nope

Question. If you were to get a daith piercing with a bar, would that help it be less problematic? Like if you left that bar in there for the full 8 months, would there still be as high of a chance for bumping?

i have naval nostril and tragus (new) -- naval was annoying first couple weeks but now i barely notice it. the nostril takes forever to heal lol but all in all not bad. tragus is a bit annoying to clean cuz u cant see the backside and i gotta stop myself from sleeping on that side but it's been like 3 weeks and i barely notice it :] but yes just gotta be EXTRA careful. nothing to dramatic tho :]
i did have my cartillage pierced looong ago and it was annoying af cuz my hair kept getting caught in it so i took it out. but i wear my hair up 90% of the time so tragus doesnt have that issue

My tragus healed very fast and easy for me with minimal pain, probably fully healed within a month. My industrial healed fairly fast also, only 3-4 months with minimal pain. I have a conch that has been the slowest to heal but I am assuming that may be because I got it pierced with a ring instead of a straight bar.

The naval one is true. I have the right side of my nose peairced and it does get caught occasionally, or irritated from my washing my face but 8 out of 10 , most of the time it's fine as long as I keep it clean and don't fidget with it to much I barley notice it's there. I did pretty good with peaircint it myself lol. (Bad Idea I know) but it came out nice. It did not hurt at all it just felt like someone was holding the tip for their finger to the spot it was peairced for like.. 2 months then the sensation of it being there just went away.

Hey guys! Thanks for all the videos you've been posting lately. Just have a question,I have spider bites on my lower lip and I've always wanted to have 2 small hoops on them. When I went shopping for them the lady told me to just get nose hoops cause they're universal??? Needless to say, they irritate my lip. So if you can point me in the direction to fix this,it would be greatly appreciated!!
