I mean one park opened and took a ton of business from an older park about 50 years ago. That park was Kings Island and the park that suffered was Cedar Point. Look at them both now flourishing. If you invest people will come.
Just please remember this park is old and it opened when Poland was poor as fu*k. It was the only „theme park” „fun fare” we had and it shows well with outdated, communistic attractions. Hope it will get better 🤕 with more renovations.
Would agree with the "has potential" rating. They are highly unlikely to outdo Energylandia in terms of rides (especially high thrill ones) and maybe there are limitations due to the closeness to the city, but they could go a little different route. The area with the center lake seems very nice and being well connected to the city is a plus, so why not offer some good food and possibilities to relax, add some boat rides on the lake, host events like concerts etc.. Or increase attractions for smaller kids that may not like full day trips?
I go here almost every summer and it definitely isn’t always empty. last summer when my family and I went, it was packed with people. definitely isn’t a dead empty park, depends when you go. also, comparing it to energy landia is a bit of a stretch, energy landia contains mainly roller coasters and fast intense rides, while legendia is more on the calm side that is more suitable for younger kids and families. the scary toys factory ride isn’t operating because two of the vehicles collided, and I guess they just never took the ride down since. it’s a good park and worth a visit
Even though it will be hunderds of kilometers away from Katowice I'm kinda worried about the impact the proposed Hossoland park might have on this place. It probably won't steal away any guests in the near term future but it might kill any chance Legendia has at making a name for themselves as one of the big boy themeparks in Poland. Would be sad to see this park go bust, however I'm sure Lech Coaster will find a new home if it does.
That hangout area did in fact have a absolutely bonkers ride called dragon wrestling tournament (yes really) I rode it in 2018 I'm not entirely sure what model of ride it was but felt like a cross between a zipper and an enterprise, it left me with a migraine from being thrashed around too much and from what I heard it caused too many injuries prompting it's removal. I think theme park worldwide covered it in a video.
I went to Legendia along with Energylandia. The big E was absolutely slammed, while I had Legendia all to myself. And still they ran two trains on Lech, fair play to them! Lech is far too intense for the GP to enjoy. If it could switch places with Formula at Energylandia, both parks would be better off. I think this park is going to have real trouble maintaining itself in the long term. The nearby zoo in Chorzów was much better value, and much busier, too. I'm not sure I completely buy into the argument that Energylandia is destroying Legendia. In my neck of the woods, there's Toverland, Efteling, Walibi Holland, Bobbejaanland, Phantasialand and Movie Park all within an hour or two from each other. Surely Poland is big enough to sustain both parks. There's more going on besides just competition.
O yes the duche park ar good Walibi and movie park ar good downt go to walibi wen on the event field nextdoor ther A festival growing on you'll be in traffic like now tomorrow and you mobeil network wond work peoperly😂😂😂 the cell towers are too busy to handle al the traffic proppery bars wil show good connection but 😂😂😂😂
I've just seen it from the gondola that goes from Stadium Slaski to the Zoo and Planetarium. The Bungee Tower was opened. 4 rides on the gondola was just 45 pln
I worked in Legendia for couple years as a device operator. I know most of the attractions inside out, including the stories behind them - I can answer many questions you wondered about in the video - so if you have any, ask :)!
I really hope they end up building more vekoma's like lech coaster, especially in America, I've always thought a park like Kentucky kingdom should get a vekoma, but probably like a launched one and not a lift one.
I think they should get a launched Vekoma coaster like Formula at Energylandia. A ride like Lech Coaster would feel kind of redundant since they already have Lightning Rod.
Yeah with Energylandia being just under an hour away I really hope they start putting in more attractions and at least another new roller coaster asap so that way they can at least some what compete with Energylandia. Especially since they have the land for it
@@kefo025 The park can get busy on weekend afternoons but most of the time it's pretty empty. That's despite dirt cheap season pass. Last season the difference between a day ticket and a season pass was about 5$. Completely worth it for Lech though. I will always plug Lech.
I would also be willing to bet Lech Coaster has the same issue as i305, where it is too intense for the general public, and doesn't pull much of a crowd.
Blackpool has a similar ride, themed to space rockets, to the plane ride, if you go into the shop underneath you can see the inner workings of it. It's one of the oldest attractions at the park. (Not sure what the oldest is, but the big dipper is 100 this year!)
I'm staying in krakow for a mid week, visiting energylandia for 2 days. Need something to do the day before my flight back. Is this worth the one hour train ride? (and one hour back)
This park should make a Witcher themed area! Cut a deal with Projekt Red or something (Henry Cavill endorsement? 😂), figure it out! Imagine a Witcher themed dark ride or themed coaster. That’s one way to compete with Energylandia.
The entire review, i kept thinking of marineland. Then Taylor said it’s like marineland. There’s one difference though. I don’t want to go to marineland
Neat stuff This is a little pedantic, but it's actually thr other zyklon, Scary toys factory, that's from Denmark. Dream Hunters society was actually at the park for a much longer time. I actually have Scary Toys factory as a credit (back when it was known as Himalaia at the defunct danish park). It was very interesting, it was self operated, you just got into your car at the loading platform and next to it was a box with a big green button. If all the restraints were pushed down you could then press the button and dispatch the ride yourself! Definitely something you wouldn't see as much nowadays.
To be fair, "Scary Toys Factory" is basically just the company that made M3GAN (ten years after bankruptcy), and "Dreamhunters Society" sounds like the sinister sector of Disney that ruined Journey Into Imagination. Zyklons seem oddly on-brand for both.
Personally i have some sentiment too so if those soviet carnival attractions. That and their restrictions on Lech rollercoaster seem better than those in Energylandia, that only uses the legs' ones that might cause the bigger person like me to literally fall out
It was really dead when we went in June, and agree its one odd park. If Legendia is stuggling, then the UK will happily take Lech coaster off their hands.
@@Danrarbc Honestly proximity to Darien Lake isn't an issue. Anyone who buys the park is after the internal Canadian market. American money is nice but not required here. The buyer will want to challenge the near monopoly that Canada's Wonderland has achieved. Southern Ontario's population is exploding, largely do to immigration. Those family's lack the ability &/or the desire to travel into the US, but they do have plenty of money to spend. Darien Lake will suffer from a revitalized Marineland, but the reverse won't be true. I work in Hospitality in the region near a beach. Large family groups booking 4-10 rooms at our hotel is common. Niagara Falls probably already see's that level of interest. 200k visitors a day is common on Clifton Hill. Marineland's current state is the result of poor investment and bad press.
Awesome to see all the comments from local enthusiasts. It's really helpful for someone who has never visited.
Energylandia's Zadra is one of Europe's best coasters, but the Cabbage Ferris Wheel is a gosh darn National Treasure! One Up

If someone would ask "How does a soviet era theme park looks?" This one comes into my mind.
Funny, given that none of the stuff inside was made in the Soviet Union
@@boskee I am pretty sure that the plane flight ride was made in the soviet union

We went on a Friday in September. It was so quiet that we did dozens of rides where we were the only one on the attraction, even Lech Coaster.

It was a Huss Flic Flac
Something like Devil Rock, what a ride! Absolutely amazing!

The park use to have 3rd Zyklon Galaxy called Cyklon.

Yeah, you can tell this park was first built under the Soviet Era/Soviet puppet era.
Lech Coaster and that Darkride are the only Things why you should visit that Park while you are on your Way to Energylandia 😅

Please do a coastin thru USA next year. Ik u guys went to most of the parks in the us but a series would be so fun
Devil's Loop may have a mild layout but those loops sure do look intense, I hope it stays for sure.

I will not be surprised by Energylandia buying Lech if Legendia taps out
c'mon, we need more new generation vekoma's!!!
Great review! This is one of the most bizarre parks in Europe, especially a standing-but-not-operating roller coaster.
So this park is basically an RCT scenario :D
Kentucky Kingdom or Adventureland Iowa could really use a Bermuda Blitz
I'd pick Adventureland Iowa. Kentucky Kingdom has Lightning Run which feels close enough to me.
Nice bose speakers
The are reopening the abandoned rides. They are opening the sbno cyclone this season
Next : Pripyat amusement park review..
But really.. Energylandia should buy Lech coaster and do this park a favor, so it can die with pride.
Lech's drop just wouldn't be the same without facing the lake.
Legendia and Energylandia. Why does Poland like to out "IA" at the end of their park names?
It is like "Land" in Polish
This is how our grammar works...
I would love a clone of Lech Coaster here in America
I would like to keep it exclusive to Poland so people have reason to care
Rip Sommerland syd:(
Lessssssssss gooooooooooooooo!!!
Shout out to Marineland! *sarcasm* At least it has animals? Maybe Legendia should merge with the zoo next to it to really compete! *double sarcasm* :)
Current rumor mill has that Marineland will be announcing a buyer this year and it will transition to a full theme park.
