Bandit will probably never get a RMC conversion, due to residents that live directly behind Bandit. They complain about the noise, so the town will not issue a building permit.
I live a 1,5 hours drive from this park and been there only twice in my whole life. Once as a Warner Bros park which was awesome with lots of IP like 'wild wild west' and 'lethal weapon pursuit '. Wild Wild West was even better than when it got a overhaul and became 'bandit'. 'Lethal weapon pursuit' was a crazy duel coaster which was going in and out buildings and had a lot of special effects like crashing cars and explosions but got removed when Warner went away. The stuntshow was called 'Police Academy ' then with the storyline of the movies. I think your review is accurate it's all a bit of past glory.

Bro the Park has some great Theming and good rides, calling it like that is an insult. Their are no advertisements and the Halloween event is by far the best in Germany probably Europe
I agree Movie Park Germany is quite underrated. Some things are just awesome, like the SpongeBob Splash battle 4:20 Great Theme for a splash battle. They have nice theming in general and the Halloween Event is sick. The best Spot to be, is the last row on Star Trek, the twisting rollback is just outstanding. Last time i visited was in 2018 and back then some spots were quite... rough, old paint on the SLC, inconsistent theme with their rapid river, and in general a lack of love. But when I see the park in 2022/2023, it looks much improved. Great to see people with passion at work, who improve and take care.

So i am a relativly new Enthusiast and this is my closest park. My Girlfriend worked there for the season and i got my very First ever season pass, so this Park really grew on me this year. I was there every Weekend for most of the season:D Bandit and the SLC are pretty enjoyable in their best rows. The Park doesnt look that great in some areas (Given that Phantasialand, Toverland and Efteling are not even a 2 hour drive from there) but i Think it really adds to the Charme. Im glad Moviepark exists :D
I agree. Movie park is also my homepark and i must say, without manuel and the other people in the leadership ect, this park would have never been so great.
I live in Germany but for some reason Movie Park never was a park I wanted to visit (might be because I‘m just 16 years old and haven’t been able to visit the majority of our parks). But I must have missed how great the theming of Operation Enterprise is. I’m a big Star Trek fan so this should be a great experience for me. Though if I had to choose I‘d prefer to go to Heidepark or Hansapark first, which I’ve sadly not been to yet.
I normally go about 3 times a week. As I live 3 stops away. Van Helsing Restaurant is great you get loads. And it's 20% off with the year pass. So I go. Get a massive plate of meat and take half home for hubby. Then I don't have to cook. It takes me 11 mins to get to Moviepark. And Phantasialand is not far. I go there about once a week.
The drop tower does have the tilt function but they stopped using it for some reason that I don't know. The water rides are really good at this park, I agree. Actually, there used to be another exceptional water ride where Movie Park Studio Tour is now. It was a dark water ride themed to Looney Tunes and later Ice Age. The Looney Tunes version was my favorite ride when I was a kid.
The stunt show it’s the same as the Warner Madrid one. Only difference it’s that the Madrid one it’s based on police academy. The rest it’s basically the same.
I recently went to movie park with a free ticket from my Efteling season pass, I think the park is decent, when I went there was a Halloween event during the evening meaning that most of the rides stayed open for longer. Over all I would definitely consider going back next year with my yearly free ticket
bandit used to be themed to wild wild west and while the ride has always been very shaky its just so much fun idk always end up crying of laughter in that ride and the pier area was where lethal weapon was
My food experience was that when ordering a draft beer they took out a half full cup that was standing in the fridge and resumed filling it …the line was empty
I've been there. I'd Gravity Group Bandit and add a traditional dark ride either where Walking Dead is or where Time Bandits is Also Excalibur and Movie Park Studios are in different areas
Well i think in recent years the park is doing many things right. BUT they still have a long way to go to make the experience really great. I think my biggest problem with this place is based on two things: Both times i was there, the Operations were kind of terrible and they didnt even operate Star Trek with 2 Trains even though it had a 40min wait. The other HUGE problem of this place is: THE FOOD. Not only are many restaurants closed or closing very early, but the service and food itself is terrible. At least at the restaurants that i got to try out. For me the best place to eat there is SubWay... and i think that is not operated by the park itself. So i hope they will go and fix these problems in the next years, because as i said earlier, the park is currently doing many things right with updating old attractions (i hope the kids area is next)
Best example;: Excalibur: it used to be the Neverending Story. And the replaced the old animatronics and awesome scenes with just plastic figures. So cheap!! I want the WB MOVIE WORLD GERMANY back
Accurate review. I enjoyed this park more than I thought I would. Some areas and layout are very similar to WB Movieworld in Australia indeed. They even have the stunt show too. Movie Park Studio Tour was my favourite ride too, and for some reason it had no line on a busy Saturday so did it about 6 times before I moved on to other rides. It must have been down and people didn't know it was back open.
even with a full que line, you probably only wait for 30 minutes. especially since corona, people stand further apart from each other and it looks completely filled, but goes very fast

Attractions were left lost, the money was missing to put into the park. Only nowadays some cool stuff is coming. Like Van Helsing’s factory (awesome dark ride rollercoaster), that movie park studios thing and the Star Trek rollercoaster. And finally they renovated the Bermuda Triangle. But so many attractions where left like they were, rebranded but with less potential and less beauty and stuff. One recognised that the park doesn’t have enough money or whatever to do something to make it as special as it was back in the days. I got a video of the conditions and stuff on my channel. Check it out, and you’re gonna see what I mean.
I went to Movie Park Germany last spring and I really enjoyed it. The two water rides were certainly the best attractions but what I loved most about it was how friendly the staff were. I went on the last Star Trek ride of the day and they let us go round an extra three times! You would never get that in the UK or the US. I will admit that it's not the most attractive of parks. It's like it's trying to be Universal but doesn't have nearly the budget for it. But overall, my experience of Movie Park Germany was very enjoyable.
I need an explanation about something. This park, along with Parque Warner Madrid in Spain, were both operated by Six Flags with the licensing to Warner Brothers properties in each park. Then Six Flags sold them both to Parques Reunidos and kept the Warner Brothers theming at Parque Warner Madrid but not here? What's up with that?

Iron Claw (ex. MP Express) is a coaster that I thought was rough but better? Only to come back to Movie Park this year (selfishly as a Trekkie for ST Operation Enterprise) and Iron Claw was so **** bad.
I was here a few years back, when Operation Enterprise was still in the planning phase (also before Studio Tour). Because of that i only remember Pain and the amazing stuntshow (i didn't like the park).
ngl dont know too much abt this park but I feel like not every bad wooden coaster should just be turned into an RMC. Eventually were just gonna have a ton of rmcs and it wont even be as special anymore. Not to mention the success that Vekoma and even Mack is starting to see lately so there can be much more variety in replacements for rides then say just an Rmc or B&M or even intamin
I think the hate towards this park is mainly due to the bad takeover after warner bros left. All old attractions had to get a new theme and a lot of magic was lost with that. Area 51 used to be called the bermuda triangle, so that explains why it's a boat ride and why there's a volcano. Excalibur used to be themed to The Neverending Story. In my memory, that theming was absolutely amazing. After the takeover, they replaced the old themes very quickly. Some other great attractions have never reopened. And the new rides, in the Nickelodeon area, were not at the same level of theming as the rest of the park. The latest additions to the park do look a lot better again though! So hopefully they can get rid of their bad reputation.
Man, when I found out that Excalibur used to be themed to the never ending story I got so sad. I would have died with happiness if I were able to ride that version. Already watched a UA-cam upload of that version lol
I was there today and I unfortunately have to agree. The rides were absolutely horrible but they have a lot of potential. People still enjoy them a lot ,which I can't say about myself. Movie Park tour is an exception. It was very smooth, well themed and I wish you could say that about the other rides. Even Star Trek was kind of a disappointment. I'd say it lacks speed. But the overall feeling and the less extreme rides were amazing. I loved it.
i was here a year ago and a lot of theming was literally rotting away. the new stuff is great, but the old stuff isnt maintained for 20 years until they give it a big revamp. so you often see stuff in terrible states there.
where? they literally re-did those parts a few years ago, the only area that looks a little run down is the western town. rest of the park gets paintjobs on a regular.
Time Rider is i think the next thing the Movie Park will replace. The old SLC and Bandit are still a visitor favour unfortunately so we need to wait untill they are unrideable old. If They RMC Bandit I hope they don't go overboard with the layout. I want to see an airtime monster here instead of 20 inversions. For inversions they have the space for a new coaster from the old SLC.
I’m a pass holder since 2017 I love this it has such a great atmosphere and very cool rides. Bandit is good! The soundtracks here are also incredible. And comparing it to Phantasialand is extremely unfair, because Phantasialand is the best themed theme park in Europe and it’s much more expensive. The only thing that isn’t that good here is the food
I have been to the park when Six Flags/Warner Brothers still owned it. Their wild mouse coaster was heavily themed to Tom and Jerry. The park has seen better days and they removed the best coaster of the park, Cop Car Chase sadly, a dualing Intamin looping coaster. You should have visited the park in the 90s/early 2000s to have the best experience.

Sorry but some of the flat rides are not in trust-inspiring condition and Bandit is a ball-smasher- I felt Ill for one whole hour after my first and unique ride. The T-shape of the park is a mess… I came at the opening,10h and left at 19h (6pm) and couldn’t do all the rides due to downtimes …haven’t lost one minute to buy food or drinks all day…!
I try to not be TOO anal about your pronunciations... you are definitely getting way better. But your pronunciation of Schloß Beck cracked me up. 'ẞ' is 'ss' in English. In fact, the 4 different letters in German - ä, ö, ü and ß - have alternate spellings that don't use the weird letter, I assume so those of us that don't have these letters on our typing devices can still spell things. (It really helps when googling!) For example, Düsseldorf can be spelled as Duesseldorf. So Schloß Beck is also Schloss Beck. A Schloß is a castle or palace, so it's a super-popular word in Germany. Like straße/street. I still don't understand why it's schloß and straße, but it's not Düßeldorf, but they have their reasons!
you know what- I think I knew that, cause I remember learning about that letter when I was in Germany! I must not have been paying attention when I read the name and didn't connect the dots that it's actually pronounced like Schloss Beck. Brain fart!
Such a shitty park in my opinion. Tbf I've not rode the new coaster but the wooden coaster there is awful and the SLC is the worst I've ever been on. Went a few years back and don't forsee myself visiting again any time soon.

A thing you missed: The standup drop tower does have a tilt feature, somehow it was deactivated the whole year 2022.
It has been deactivated for way longer and i dont know why. I have been visiting since 2017 on a regular base and it never worked :c

The park next to it is not called "Schlobeck", but "Schloss Beck", which means "Castle Beck" 😁
Excalibur the ride is based off a fantastic John Borman film about King Arthur. It's from the early 80s.

I have been to the park when Six Flags/Warner Brothers still owned it. Their wild mouse coaster was heavily themed to Tom and Jerry. The park has seen better days and they removed the best coaster of the park, Cop Car Chase sadly, a dualing Intamin looping coaster. You should have visited the park in the 90s/early 2000s to have the best experience.

looney tunes land definately looked better than nickland, but the cheap building material that WB used was rotten, so they had to wreck it down

the nickland used to be way better when it still was wb themed also shame that they removed the lethal weapon rollercoaster that had cars as trains and they had this dualing dragons thing going on

Sorry but some of the flat rides are not in trust-inspiring condition and Bandit is a ball-smasher- I felt Ill for one whole hour after my first and unique ride. The T-shape of the park is a mess…
I came at the opening,10h and left at 19h (6pm) and couldn’t do all the rides due to downtimes …haven’t lost one minute to buy food or drinks all day…!
I try to not be TOO anal about your pronunciations... you are definitely getting way better. But your pronunciation of Schloß Beck cracked me up. 'ẞ' is 'ss' in English. In fact, the 4 different letters in German - ä, ö, ü and ß - have alternate spellings that don't use the weird letter, I assume so those of us that don't have these letters on our typing devices can still spell things. (It really helps when googling!) For example, Düsseldorf can be spelled as Duesseldorf. So Schloß Beck is also Schloss Beck. A Schloß is a castle or palace, so it's a super-popular word in Germany. Like straße/street. I still don't understand why it's schloß and straße, but it's not Düßeldorf, but they have their reasons!
you know what- I think I knew that, cause I remember learning about that letter when I was in Germany! I must not have been paying attention when I read the name and didn't connect the dots that it's actually pronounced like Schloss Beck. Brain fart!

Such a shitty park in my opinion. Tbf I've not rode the new coaster but the wooden coaster there is awful and the SLC is the worst I've ever been on. Went a few years back and don't forsee myself visiting again any time soon.
To be fair though I did like Area 51 and enjoyed the river rapids as the themeing was awesome
