How to make the perfect Buttercream Icing for cakes and cupcakes

  • This video will show you how to achieve the perfect Buttercream for piping cupcakes or frosting layer cakes.

    Ingredients:
    • 2 cups powdered sugar
    • ½ cup butter (1 stick, or 100 gr.) soft at room temperature
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • Aprx 2 tablespoons of milk (more or less)
    Directions:
    - Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer, cream the butter
    - Add the sugar in several batches, until it is well incorporated with the butter
    - Add the vanilla and mix. Don’t worry if the cream seems dry
    - Add the milk in small amounts until you get the correct consistency
    - Place in a piping bag and pipe it over the cupcakes, or frost cakes using a spatula
