I bought a 100ah jumbo battery for mine.. almost 5 hours on the river yesterday and still had over 75% juice left with Intex's trolling motor. I did the carpeted plywood floor thing, lots of compliments out there.. ppl love this boat!
I just bought an excursion 4 I'm getting into the boating as a hobby. Please,do you have Any tips you can share based on your experience with this raft
I would recommend putting a box on it. They are very cheap and give you a little peace of mind in protection from water and heat. I just kept mine toward the back of the raft. Never had any weight or balance issues

How's the trolling motor still? Did it hold up?
Held up for 2 whole summer seasons. Haven’t used it since but as far as I know, it’s in great condition. Great buy, would recommend.
How heavy is that battery?
About 50 or so lbs
I bought a same model this year. May I know where the battery you put on the raft? Does the battery need a box? Thank you!
