It does work if right blends
Oh it works alright. Hard for some to see as it’s very different to the norm but it’s amazing how things have perked up already. 👍
Hi James Nice video Thanks again Have a good week
Thanks Darran, have a good’un.
Really interesting video ❤
Thanks Sara. 😊
Hi James, if you got paid for enthusiasm you would be a millionaire buddy, cracking video again, keep them coming 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank Stephen! It’s a shame that’s not how it works 😂 👍
Sceptical farmer #2, can you do some comparisons with your concoction v compound fert and against nothing. Tried Supersoil with very minimal uptick. Could not see test strips from the rest of the field.
Yeh, I’ll try and get something out together. We plate measure grass growth weekly anyway to should be able to see a response.
Used I last year and only used 14kg N/Ha as opposed to 70 kg N/Ha of granular.
These are very common place in NZ and Aus and nowadays and those guys swear by them.
I’ve heard from a couple of people who have tried super soil and said it did nothing. 🤷♂️
@@baldysfarm that's some saving
Can you do some test strips side by side?
Wish I had one close by to try
I’ll get something set up. If you wanted to try a demo, Peter would bring it down to you.
Seems to be a great way to spread food for the grass ,have you got any idear of prices
Prices vary a lot due to the shipping and I’m not sure how much a 500 is but the 1000 is about £26k I think.
@@baldysfarm Thanks, will try and get a demo of one.
Great video. When are you going to convert Crawford Niven of Crawfords Farm to Stabiliser Cattle or at least a Bull ?
😊😊😊
I’ll keep trying. There’s some nice bulls up his way too. A bull would really suit him. 👍
@baldysfarm I think Crawford needs some education about paddock grazing too. But think being a mixed arable, Beef and Farmshop farm that daily paddock moving would be a step too far at the moment 🤔
Would sward lifting be a good thing this year to?
I have never done any but want to do have a field and see how much difference it makes.
Great video ,does the chap you borrowed the outfit from have a web site. Love to chat with him. Never heard of this in north America
Yes it’s called a Tow and Fert. There’s a global website and a Europe one. I know they send them to South America and there are some in the states. Message them and see what they can do. 👍
It’s made in NZ. The European distributor is in Ireland. You can spread a lot of stuff using them. The biggest advantage is using soluble urea.
What would be the general ratio would you use
Would the tractor mounted tow & fert be a good investment for ye?? Think it'd do well on tillage ground too!!
Yes and no. We think we will go for a 1200 mounted machine but with the wheel kit as when it’s mounted the booms stick out the side of the cab and I’m worried about catching them in the right parts of the yard. When it’s on the wheels you can pull the booms in tighter. 👍
Hey Brian yep we have a lot of customers using a Tow and Fert on tillage ground, great for applying lime flour in a liquid slurry so no dust, and all your organics like compost tea's and biologicals, fish hydrolysates, trace elements etc. For example you can suspend and apply 1tonne of lime flour in 500kg of water in the tractor mounted Multi 1200, with the bigger machines, like the 2800 and 4000 you can get over the 2:1 ratio of lime flour to water. Big bonus is there's no dust!
ploughs no go for nothin...........hummmmmm potatos?
No round here 😂 people still havnt got them up from last year yet. 😂
