Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Why am I invested in this channel? I’m overseas and hard working American’s like MNFarmer reminds me how much I love the USA 🇺🇸
🇺🇲🇺🇲 thanks for watching!!
@@MillennialFarmer13:11 for a brief second, I thought you were combining corn... 😅😅
No whistlin diesel is combining corn tonight on his channel check it out lol
@@MillennialFarmerme and my uncle watch your channel he absolutely like what you do keep it up
Just for grins and giggles.... You should look up the cost of those wheels on your scrubber. Very good machine but crazy expensive to fix
Love the whole Millennial Farmer process. No fighting, no tension, yes they have ups and downs but it is good healthy family stuff. Zach and his Dad are a gift. Becky and the kids complete the world they live in. Thank You.
Great to see the dogs playing again. Need to get autotrak option for the floor scrubber. Thanks for hauling the camera around and big thanks to Becky for all the work behind the scenes!
Autosteer on the scrubber is genius! 😂
@MillennialFarmer have someone map it out first with a drone to avoid all the rocks
@@MillennialFarmer My dad works for a company that has that. A Swiss brand called Taski. They have full automated self driving cleaning machines in hospitals. Crazy technologie.
Wow! Dust in sealed heated shops in wet MN USA. I thought that only happened in our open sheds here on dry and dusty Aussie farms. 🙂
Some guys in N.Missouri havent turned a stone.. I only have 26 acres of corn in and it has to be re-planted. Every time its go time it rains...Seen it all before..
Small farmer here in SE Iowa... I feel your pain! I got a burn-down take care of 3 weeks ago and it's been rain every 3 days since. Best of luck!
Same here in Tennessee wet everywhere my tractor is setting in the field on go hay is ready to cut just to wet
Sorry about the excess moisture and cold temperatures.
I'm very happy to see Didge and Anna almost back to perfect health, outside running, playing, and going for a ride together.
That was great when Didge laid on the step, making you step over her.
Good times 😊
Zac : are you going to move....... Didge : You've got legs haven't you, then step over.......
@@pseggons9512 true but its Zach
You need to seal the concrete. I used to work on a warehouse and the dust was terrible. I used to put a cheap concrete sealer in the floor about every 6 months did help. The company found a place that will come in and prep the floor then put sealer on it. I left 4 years after that and never had any more problems. Check for concrete finishers in your area they may be able to help
Just fixed a cabinet hinge, cleaned off a work bench, lubed a drawer slide, etc. You get the picture🌧
You know the ole saying, when in doubt, put more content out. You’ll be good, we’ll watch it 😊.
If wet the floor first and spray on the cleaner first, it does the job ten times better. I use one on an airplane hangar floor, which is white.
“And you said, just flush those down the toilet?” Lol 😂🤣
The floor polisher has Anna's attention, but you really need a rider type like the Larson's.
Remember, Anna's #1 even got the Dig vote...
Surprised you didn’t get a ride on one like Larson Farms has.
The book bindery I worked at for 10 years had this type of machine to clean the floors. When I first started working there, they had a guy with a large push broom to clean the floors; which put a lot of dust in the air. But once the company invested in this type of machine, the work place became much less dusty. You will appreciate how much less dust will float back onto everything in your shop.
As someone who also runs floor scrubbers, I love seeing others find the joy in them!
Floor sweeper is a great addition. It’s a must have for sure. Enjoy your new toy. ❤️🇨🇦
Love seeing the dogs playin!
I hope that the Rain ends!
Glad to hear the dogs are OK I have 4 dogs of my own
Need to get you a Land Plane for the driveway. Get one that has the ripper shanks on it to cut out the potholes. Makes for fast work doing driveways, and they have them for skid steers and/or tractors. I amazed of how quickly it gets the job done for reconditioning a driveway.
Good to hear Anna is feeling better. As I said in your last video my GSD Ally just the week earlier went through the same ordeal. But good antibiotics and a great vet she was on the mend and acting her fool self in about 3 days. Don't you just hate it when one of your puppers gets hurt. Glad she's doing better.
Zack, you work your but off to take care of parents and family.
I really like how you spend time with your dad,my dad worked with me until he was 72.
I miss him terribly. Please so your bond between you and dad,he looks like the nicest guy in the world.
I,ll keep watching cause you guys are awesome.
From a farmer in the TX Panhandle, never "cuss" the rain....you'll be needing it soon enough. I certainly enjoy your channel!
No mail. No bills!!
Tried AG1 cause of you and it really does do wonders, thank you👌🏼 also please just enjoy the rain, were about 12 hours south of you and we'd love 3 inches of rain. Happy farming🤠
It tastes like ass
I wish you a good crop season hopefully it is successful for you.
We have been fighting the same thing in Indiana. Got love farming always something hot cold wet dry.
So you can fill holes!! That's "Not" what she said!!??🤔🤔😂 Right back at you!!
Zach, the front end of that scrubber has wings on it that are folded in. They need to be unfolded. You are not scrubbing an area as wide as the squeegee / vacuum, therefore you are scaping up dry dirt on the tips of the squeegee as seen in the video. Plus, it is going to take you longer as you are not scrubbing as wide an area as you can.
Thanks for all the cool videos.
Jeff
YES
I'm very surprised you didn't get a floor scrubber that could be driven.
Onix would never leave it alone.
Could grab the roller blades and let it pull you around.
It's not really worth the extra cost imo
I for one like ya showing the everyday chores, fix it, and odd jobs you do on the farm. Farming is farming and to this city boy it's all good. Thanks for the great videos.
Those valves have an intake screen that cannot be cleaned well. The dust gets mixed up with water and tends to freeze them up. It's a 60 to 100 dollar part, it's best to just change them out.
😊😊😊😊😊
Air tool oil in your red airline periodically helps
@MillenialFarmer you need one of those little gear driven push operated swisher pickup roller brooms to keep on top of that fresh cleaned floor!
We could lose our farm if it would EVER rain. Opposite problems here in west Texas
When cleaning the floors with the scrubber, I like to scrub and let it soak in, don't vacuum it up, let it soak for like 15 and then go back and scrub and vacuum it up, or scrub it a few times waiting between each time, clean up the tougher stains much better.
I finally gave up planting soy bean this year after 3 tries have been ruined by rain. Green beans too. but trying again. I did get lucky and all my corn came up before we got too wet
Best wishes for you this year. Keep the faith.
Why give up on soybeans? Not to late to plant them
Where’s your ground at? Interested in picking it up.
You could adapt all those electronics from the tractors to make it auto steer and turn around, kinda like a garage roomba! You could program it to say wiseass remarks if you are in it's way.
Dealing with the same problem in northwest wyoming. Only got 60 acres of barley planted and got 120 to go then 50 acres of corn
I'm sure happy both your dogs are going to be okay I love it to see them riding with you in that vehicle also I'm sorry you got all that rain Zach I know you don't need it but here in Indiana we've had over nine inches of rain and it's raining today and I'm sick of it take care I wish you guys the best of luck this year
Luckily we got everything planted last Monday west central Indiana here
The Area where all the Dirt goes really needs a good Rinse out… I use something like this at work… I clean Gym Floors but only after a Dry Mop first… Awesome Machine ✌️
Custom wrap on a floor scrubbing machine. That's pretty slick tbh. Good shit. Cheers 🥂
They are awesome I use to work at Honda in Alliston Ontario Canada car plant . I was In repair area so cars going in and out daily . So we had two of them they do a great job .
I worked there too years ago.. greetings from keswick lol
We finally got our first 50 acres of corn planted yesterday. Hopefully we will get the rest of the field done today before it rains this afternoon.
Our private driveway culvert looked similar - I dug up, added a thick rubber mat on the top of culvert gap, refilled with rock and dirt. No holes several years later. Only took maybe two hours with a skid and a shovel.
Cool scrubber! Been looking for one for my shop, encouraged to see it work well....
The cows always have the answer. Glad you asked them first
If you put concrete aprons outside your overhead shed doors… it will keep A LOT more of the dirt off the floor in your shop lol
Wash out, rinse out, clean out the floor scrubber. The collection tank can get nasty if it sits.
Haha floor sweeper love it great tool for any big shop. Funny thing is Matt from Diesel Creek bought a riding one from an auction that worked out for him. Yeah great tool to have for any shop.😊
So we had a floor scrubber like that at a shop I worked at and it was an absolute must have. When a tech had to lay down on the concrete floor and then jump back into a customers vehicle you don’t want to have a dirty floor for them to transfer that dirt and grease into a nice vehicle.
Those are sink holes and need to be addressed sooner than later… or sure what you have for everyday weight going over those pipes. But that can really lead to bad day. This comes from a guy who work for the New Hampshire Department of Transportation. And by just looking at the placement of the holes. If left alone you could lose a truck or tractor. And content or not that’s not a good day. Safety wise that’s is. Keep it up Zach and everyone on the farm love the content
The scrubber is worth the money especially with oil spots which are a pain.. Steve from WV..
I’m a dirt guy and I had the same issue in my shop and one thing that helped is putting down crushed asphalt in front of the shop so the tires and tracks kinda of clean out. Put it down, water (maybe a little red dye fuel) and compact it. It’ll help with cleaning your tires and tracks out tracking less crap in on the floor, therefor slowing down the dust in the shop.
Floor Scrubbers are awesome, just keep the squeege clean, I used to clean the well and lasted a long time.
Always enjoying the videos!!
floor sweep the sawdust one works great for the dust.
Praying your farm thrives, Zach!🙏🙏🙏
One of the best things about my shop is a floor drain. I can just hise the floor down and squeegee it clean.
Great video!
Thanks for the show guys 🍻
We've actually gotten a dry enough streak here that everyone here in Northern Wisconsin is getting their fields tilled and crops in. At least in my pocket of Northern Wisconsin.
My "second" job back in my HS and college days was working for a floor cleaning company . Seeing this machine really took me back! Of course, ours didn't have an awesome wrap like this one does. . . ;)
Great content Zach! That was fun to watch!
Real appreciative selling something that right and keeping your name Correct..Really appreciate You and Family..
Yes
he said now its "wetter then ever" . that would make a good t-shirt
Well Zach things are looking "moist". Thanks for taking us along for the ride. I always enjoy it 🚜🚜
Good to see the "STARS" of the show back at it !
North central Indiana is super wet as well
Yup I feel your pain Remember 1986 when it was like this all summer, AND now I am mowing grass at the Osakis Golf Course, I can confirm after the crew of us(3) have been stuck 5 times so far and the summer has not begun, hardly.
Factory I use to work at used these scrubbers. We all had a couple in each of our depts. And we had 2 big enough that covered 10ft across and were articulated and ride on. Had a 232 inline 6 powered and steel bristle power brushes.
Thank you for your service key ranch demo ... I love this channel its great
Sad to see all the rain during planting time. Great to see Anna doing so much better. You’re going to get lots of good use from the floor scrubber. Wish I could afford one.
When summer comes, you might consider doing an epoxy coating on your shop floor. It’s used in a ton of garages and your local contractor can determine what you need for the abuse you give that floor. Your floor will still get filthy (it’s a farm, it’s unavoidable) but it might be easier to clean and maintain it.
That shop would cost way more than $40k to do. $3-15/sqft. That shop has to be 10000sqft, perhaps 2-3 times that.
Hope you fix the hole before it gets bigger and a car or truck hits the hole.Great video guys. Thank y'all so much
Thanks
Hi Zak John from England just the same over here I have a commercial ground maintenance business lots of grass cutting and it won't stop raining
I just miss my farm, thanks for sharing!
Over here in South Australia, 6mm of rain this year.
Zach and Becky that was great enjoyed it great explanations and content thank you both for always making a great video.
It works real nice, bet your excited to help keep the dust down.
We are getting tons of rain here in PA also.
YES!
We took delivery of a Factory Cat Mini-HD 26" last week. Great machine.
You’re not interested in doing anything thats not right. #1 reason this channel and that farm are so successful
I have a solution to the dirt in the shop issue. Just add about 4 inches of asphalt to the yard and your driveway.
Also, I feel your pain with the dust on the shop floor. I can sweep my floor with the best broom out there but when I lay on the floor to change oil or something my back still gets covered with dust. That little scrubber thing looks like the answer.
And one other thing: The culvert you were looking at is most likely a segmented concrete culvert. This means the entire culvert under the road is made up of probably 6 foot segments joined together. These culverts last forever but they have a tendency to get separations in the joints. Frost and the loading/unloading of the road make everything move and the segments move apart. That's when you start to see the voids on the shoulder and ditch since it seems like the end segments like to move the most. Whoever owns the road will have to dig up the culvert, reset the segments (and they could pin them together) and then backfill and regrade the road. That looks like a fairly shallow pipe so it wouldn't take much time to fix the problem.
Thats a nice cleaner. Before i saw it in the vid though i was thinking they should make an industrial roomba to automatically vacuum the shop. (Dyson just made an interesting one. (Not sponsored))
i used one of those floor sweepers andthje ride on like a small zamboni at the sugar factory. now ur floors will be clean lol
Yes, I totally understand as the west coast had rain for a week. And back down in the 30* nights 47 high daytime.
we are getting to the point of rediclous down here in Southern Iowa. every 2 days it's muck
ye yep..N. Missouri probably even worst yet..
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Great to see Anna and Dig doing well. Your costars are one of the most important things you can report on. Wishing you and your family the best.
Nice new Zambonie. I'd sweep the floor real good before running it. Those thing only have a life of 3-5 years to begin with. Surprised you didn't get the riding one.
This is Minnesota! Love it!
Love it when you talk about weights in trucks. 79,780 GFV . That maroon color pickup or car does it every time for most.
We got half an inch in our area of West Tx last weekend, and it was dry enough for us to start planting cotton but I only got 36 acres in due to starting late and running out of seed in the planter, we use bags and only filled it halfway to start today, and we got more rain supposed to hit tomorrow and thursday.
Central Texas, Falls county to be exact we average 32 inches of rain per year. So far in the past 4 months we’ve had 36 inches of rain. We can’t bale hay, we can barely even get in to feed cattle. It’s been a bad year so far.
The island of Oahu, Hawaii, received over a foot of rain.
You should have got a ride on one like Dougo !!
Very nice wrap!!
The OCD farmer.
Great content.
Really like your style.
