You have put me in the mood for that now been ages since I have had this for my dinner having it the night your videos are so good just normal dinners really keep up the good work and thank you for sharing
Beautiful down to earth cooking. I cook my peas from cold water and by the time they have boiled they are more or less done and cheaper than boiling the kettle. Same with all my veg. Also Aldi Nordpak is as good as Lurpack and half the price. Hope that helps someone. Lovely video as always.
Clare just recently found your videos. You cook good wholesome hearty meals that are quite easy to prepare and a great variety. You come across as a lovely smiley, friendly and happy lady. Your wife is lucky to have you cook her such tasty meals. Do you do all the cooking?
I've recently moved house and there is a Co op near me. I don't normally shop there but I tried there own brand Cumberland sausage £2.45p. I have to say they were very nice Clare. Little cheaper than thr Richmond sausage for those on a budget. I'm sure it's not recommend to pierce the sausage before cooking, because what helps cook the meat us the boiling of the fat inside the casing. That is assuming Richmond is not a skinless sausage Clare. I'm not formiliar with them myself.
Hi Claire I love bangers and mash it’s a easy meal to do but I would have made my sausages in the air fryer (Much healthier) your food looks delicious 😋
HI I'M RUMAR. TO MAKE THINGS EVEN CHEAPER COOK THE ONIONS IN THE SAME PAN AFTER THE SAUSAGES ARE COOKED. ALSO USE HALF THE SPUD WATER TO COOK THE PEAS AND THE OTHER HALF TO MAKE THE GRAVY. THE STARCH IN THE POTATO WATER WILL MAKE THE GRAVY THICK.😎😃
Love the videos. Can i ask do you not like white onions? I also generally cook with red ones. Was just curious why you use red more than white when it comes to onions?
Even cheaper. Once the sausage is nearly cooked add onion into same pan. Stock cubes are cheaper and healthier than gravy granuals with a little cornflour. Frozen peas will cook in the microwave or even in the onion gravy. I would only use two rings if cooking on the hob and want to save money.
Why not add the onions to the sausages when almost cooked? Also could add the gravy mix to the sausages and onions once cooked. This would not only save on washing up but would cut fuel consumption thus saving money! Just a suggestion!👍🇦🇺
Ewww!….Richmond sausages are just dirty! lol. Personally I prefer sausages with a high meat content, at least 90% and more if possible. “Heck” is a favourite brand with their 95% Pork Sausages. Richmond are only 42% pork, so I’ve never been a fan but my daughter absolutely loves them. The pack you bought are currently on offer at Asda for £1.50 too, so your next meal could be even cheaper if you have an Asda nearby? But a great video as always Clare!…a favourite dish of mine, and such a great British classic too. Plus the added bonus of hearing Eryl singing in the background ❤. Did you make her sing for her supper? Haha. However, if I am in the mood for bangers and mash I usually go the whole hog and do a Toad In The Hole with mash, peas & gravy 🌷
@@claresfoodhavenglad to hear that you have a great Butcher that’s local to you. Is it the same Butcher that was in your video where he butchered the Lamb for us to watch? Unfortunately, my nearest Butcher doesn’t do decent sausages….they’re good quality, but pretty tasteless. The rest of their products are great, just not the sausages lol. I need to find a better Butcher me thinks. A Butcher that can also get Rabbit occasionally would be fantastic. I absolutely love Rabbit stew or Rabbit barbecued. By the way….what was Eryl singing in the background?? I didn’t recognise it at all but it sounded really good ❤
oh Richmond not what i like must have Cumberland sausages i love Sainsburys own i did sausage n mash n red onion gravy for me ❤ sausages i cook in the Air fryer they cook perfect ❤ then i fried red onion in fry pan with real butter then added gravy❤then popped the sausages in the pan a short while with the gravy n red wine ❤
