Put that inside a giant yorkie pud and that’s my desert island meal! When I do potatoes in my instant pot on pressure cook mode it just needs a little bit of water - the high pressure steam does the rest. I also use a potato ricer instead of a masher, but either way, delicious meal right there!
Can't fault that Sharon ten out of ten.Martin is a lucky man everything you make is good and all home made. Another simple meal but good quality ingredients.👍🥰
Sharon you will love 3 or 4 peeled raw garlic gloves in the water with the potatoes then mash them in with the potatoes I recently bought a potato ricer WOW its better than every masher I have tried, its lighter and fluffier mash
Looks delicious!! I do my potatoes and veg in the Ninja 15in1 pressure all the time and you only need roughly 250-300ml water. That's even for a whole pot full for 20 mins. If you use boiling water it's even quicker.
That looks' tasty😋😋, when i cook potatoes in the pressure cooker i only put in a cup of water, its the pressurized steam that cooks them, brilliant content as always Martin and Sharon 🙏🙏
I'm gonna give the Maggi stuff a go. Also I've started using one of them microwave steamers for frozen peas (only cheap from Amazon) and it really takes the peas to another level of taste. Thanks for the vid. Looked ace
Top job - just for info, I use a Ninja 9in1 to pressure cook the spuds - 125ml of water, approx 6-8 mins, microwave the peas for approx 2-3mins @ 1000w. Gravy, pretty much the same as you. Sausages...still experimenting with my new Ninja Foodi MAX Frier! Thanks for a great recipe and info on food temps 👌👍Keep up the good work. (Woodall Spar...I only live down the road haha - Immingham).
Nothing wrong with proper comfort food. Agree about the butchers sausages....so much better and not always that much dearer. Worth the money for the better taste and size of the sausage.....oooo matron
That meal Looked really nice, you’re lucky to still have a butchers, not many around now, those sausages looked so much nicer than the ones you get in supermarkets
When I do mash spuds I put 1 cup of water in the pressure cooker the a trivet and a basket, cut potatoes into med chunks and put into basket and pressure cook for 14 minutes .
I make mashed potatoes always in the instant pot.I have a basket that I put the potatoes in and add only about a cup of water and pressure cook for 5 minutes no matter the amount of potatoes, I cut them as you do. I put my cooked potatoes in my Kitchen Aid with the paddle, add sour cream, Phiiiy cream cheese seasoning slow beat just till incorporated add butter and or cream.l sometimes add diced spring onions. These we call snowy mashed potatoes and can be made ahead, chilled and baked till hot and crusty, garlic added is great also.
I'm definitely making that for tomorrow's tea .it looked so scrummy sausages are my go to comfort food. A nice Yorkshire pud would go well with that meal 😋 ❤ love to you both xx
Thank you Martin and Sharon for giving me idea for tea tomorrow night, i have been given a meat hamper from my farmer friend so i think some of the pork sausages will be getting used for this and use our homegrown potatoes 😋😋
cor, my mouth is watering, a great looking meal. well done you both, you make me want to go straight out to the butchers get the sausages, will be doing the spuds in the 15in1 from now on , a great time saver, thanks to both of you
I can't get sausages like they used to taste years ago, except when I go to Ireland, they are called Clonakilty and they are lovely, I'm 77 so I'm going back to 50s and 60s sausages now can't find any with that flavour except Clonakilty pork sausages, from Kerry in Ireland. But these sausages look nice you've got. Even the tescos luxury ones don't taste the same
I hope you video you trip to Scunthorpe. I am from there and left when I was 19 to live in New Zealand. My friends laugh when I tell them I am from a place called Scunthorpe. I love sausages, mash, peas and onion gravy and I am having that for tea tonight. I just love you guys.
Try adding the sausage fat from your air fryer basket to your mash when you add the butter. Makes it even more yummy! And if you put your potato pieces on a rack or in a steamer basket a cup and a half of water is enough, so the cooker comes up to temperature more quickly. Saves time, saves electricity!
Yum yum your both going to hold me up, I use my electric whisker to mash my spuds, love your Maggie seasoning started using it, Sharon do liver and onions
I used to have a friend who used half a pack of butter in his mash - gosh it was divine! And now grass-fed butter is so good for you, ENJOY! Where to get a good banger?! Yum YUM!
Really shouldn't watch your cooking videos at midnight. This week I'm hungry for the sausages in gravy, last week the crumble 😅 I like sausages done in gravy. You miss out on the colour but I like to cook mine in the slow cooker. Drop the sausages sliced onions and gravy in and cook on low. Get a lovely waft all through the house. Thanks for saying how long it took the pot to come to pressure. I appreciate how you let everyone know those things, not many do.
This is so much fun to watch, just came back to your channel, at this time of year this is. Real winter warmer. I am sure you could do a real nice broth?
I love sausages done in the air fryer, but I do my mash using the microwave...cut up just like you do, in a plastic bowl with vented lid, half a cup of water then 12 minutes, and they're done. Then for my gravy I use half beef gravy granules and half onion gravy granules with sliced up onions like yours.
What no Lincolnshire sausages' - don't let the locals know :) - Here's the thing though - all sausages are not equal - there are so many variants and types - a bit like wine but wine lovers tend to look down their noses at the thought of cooking sausages. Personally I never get bored of trying different varieties
My sort of food, I always chuck a leek in and mash with butter and white pepper. Lovely guys.
Put that inside a giant yorkie pud and that’s my desert island meal!
When I do potatoes in my instant pot on pressure cook mode it just needs a little bit of water - the high pressure steam does the rest. I also use a potato ricer instead of a masher, but either way, delicious meal right there!
Sausage and mash is one of the best meals ever especially as we move into autumn. 😊
