Hello I’m from Puerto Rico is a little island is the Caribbean. We certainly eat different kind of food but wanted to let you know I made your recipe for my family and they loved it!! Many Blessings to you and stay safe. ❤️
That's brilliant! I'm so happy you all enjoyed it. Our food is simple hearty and delicious. I'd love to try some of your dishes if you could recommend any? All the best ❤️
I’m in American, but my father was in the Air Force, I lived in Puerto Rico from 1963 to 1967. Oh my God I love that country such as a kid everything was so amazing, It was one of my fondest memories as a place for a kid to grow up in!!!
I respect your appreciation of British food. It has an undeserved reputation. To be honest, I love British food. It's full of complex flavors and some amazing dishes with influences from all over the former British Empire. Love your onion gravy btw.
When my family (from Canada) visited Scotland and England in 2008, we did not have a bad meal until we went to TGI Friday's in Glasgow. Everywhere else the food was awesome.
I made these several times with the gravy based on dark/ brown beer and used local sausages. It’s absolutely delicious. Goes nicely with colcannon, too.
I had Bangers and Mash for the first time last night at an American Pub style restaurant in my town. They were AWESOME. The manager asked me if that's what they were supposed to look like. I looked up YOUR video this morning to see and these folks are serving the correct Bangers and Mash. If you ever come to Florida please come to Ocala and go to Horse and Hounds for dinner. Bangers and Mash, I think you'll be amazed. I was raised on German and Polish food and I actually like English food. You guys really rock your cooking!
Thanks for the thyme tip, hadn't thought of that one. I usually add a chicken stock cube, I'll try beef next time. A teaspoon of mustard and a small squeeze of tomato puree helps. I find melting your butter and warming the milk together in your saucepan before adding the potatoes, make's for a creamier mash. Some apple wedges fried off in a little butter until just softened, make a great addition! John
Hi I am a Muslim and I love English food especially home made cheese and onion pie brilliant with white bread and butter and u can't beat fish and chips and peas ♥️♥️♥️
As-salamu alaikum my friend. Its always nice to hear other cultures and beliefs that appreciate our food. What's your favourite food from your culture? 🙏
Hats off to you Adam. I've lost count of the recipies I've seen that cook the sausages seperate from the gravy. I've always believed that a proper sausage & mash requires you to pre-cook/brown sausages, then remove and then return to the gravy for the last 10/15mns for the true tasting gravy.
You had me at "Shuddup-n-kiss me!" Great line. Great dish.. I'm not even English and feeling that cozy nostalgic foodie happiness right now!😮😅 Gorgeous Bangers n Mash. Mums fave, along with Pie, Pea, and Pud.(Potatoes) ! Thank you for sharing.very charming.
Drooling here! Love home made gravy. Never added sugar before though, only put sugar in tomato soup to level out the acid. May try it in gravy next time. Tfs
A fellow Adam! I mean, it is the best name so I know you're a good person just from that 🤣. Also though, more importantly I hope you're OK dude. Stay safe, and do the things that make you happy 😊
Yummy! As I have mentioned before: Home-made European food is just great. We do this recipe a lot in Germany (Bratwurst mit Kartoffelpüree und Zwiebelsoße ). However I think there is potential for improvement with respect to the peas. Personally, when preparing vegetable I never let the water boil, but simmer, so for instance delicate peas don't loose their shell and shape. And before serving I glaze them with some melted butter that has been aromatized by finely chopped parsley.
New subscriber here, from Australia but born in Manchester. Looking forward to many more of your videos, I love British food, nice and plain and yummy and the food reminds me of my parents cooking when they were alive. Thanks for your video, looks so good.
I actually take a couple of short cuts with my onion gravy, and it still turns out great. I carmelize the onions, though I add a tiny amount (1/8 tsp) of baking soda disolved in water - speeds up the breakdown of inulin to sugar, and the onions caramelize in 20 minutes. (I sprinkly some muscovado sugar over the onions during the last few minutes too.) Once they're carmelize, I deglaze with wine (an inexpensive port, marsala, or madeira works well), then add M+S beef gravy (the one they sell in the fridge case, not the shelf one) and let it all boil together. To that I add worstecer, English mustard, and chopped sage. The result is a top-notch onion gravy!
Shut up and kiss me!!! I can see why you would say that now. I just made this for lunch and it was FABULOUS 👌. The only thing wrong is I didn't have any frozen peas, but there is still 4 sausages, a mountain of mash and a pond of onion gravy left. I'll get the peas tomorrow and have some more. Thanks Adam, have a good weekend. Trev in Hampshire 👍🏻😋
Adam that looks absolutely delicious. I'm an American and I have never said English food is horrible because from what I see of it on TV and UA-cam it looks absolutely delicious some of it now I don't know about the blood sausage for breakfast but😮. Everything else looks just like what we eat here😅
Hello I'm from Japan. I love your food and talking. I cooked your Bangers and Mash today and it was really good. Thank you for the fun videos and delicious foods🤗
Thank you! I'm going to make this one! It really looks very, very good! It makes me think of a delicious and flavorful comfort food. Thank you again, and hug Mogs for us! 😊💖🙏
I made your onion gravy. The first time I made it, I followed all your directions and ingredients. But I put too much white pepper in the mash thinking it would be like black pepper. I was wrong and that did not turn out very good. I also added too much worcester sauce. The next time I made it, I skipped the white pepper in the mash and just used black pepper. I also substituted apple cider vinegar for the worcester sauce. It turned out much better. A couple of nights ago, I tried it again and it turned out delicious. It almost tasted like the bangers and mash my husband and I had back in Bristol when we lived there in 2002. I replaced the knorr with just a can of beef broth and actually forgot to put the apple cider vinegar in it. I think what made it better was the sausage called Cumbria from a place in New York called Parkers. I'm in Kansas USA and we don't have any place here that makes British sausages. I'm trying it again with a different sausage called Lincolnshire from Parkers, but I'll make sure to add the apple cider vinegar. Thanks for the recipe!
bro, I had the opportunity to road trip Britain a few years ago, I personally loved the food. I found it clean tasting and natural instead of all the stuff we put in ours. making bangers and mash tonight, I love it
It's different. I assume you are from the U.S? And I like American food too. Although we might make silly jokes about each other's food, in all seriousness America also has a lot to offer. Great barbecue, fried chicken, crawfish boils, soul food, gumbos are just a few things that come to mind.

Will be trying this one, definately agree about using a good quality sausage though. What are your thoughts about using after sell by/use by dates when buying from supermarkets ?
Thank you mate appreciate it. Well, I always think the best tools you have are your eyes and nose. If it looks and smells bad, chuck it out. If it looks and smells OK then I use it.
