@@Aki-et7tm one of the best weapons. There is eye frames when you slide. And to make sure you hit the whole discharge .. swing slide back then do the wind up. You dont want to do it point blank unless your going savage lol He didn't show it that much in the video but its ok... you'll make your own combos later down the road
Get used to it, when it comes to CB you'll be learning more than you thought you already knew. Trust, I been playing and maining it as my #1 weapon since Day 1 of World, to this day I'm still learning more tips and tricks with it even though I consider myself a Master Chader. This weapon is just a beautiful work of art! XD
I got the Strongarm Ice and King both from kulve yesterday. Thought to myself "lets give this weapon a shot" and dayum i I feel like a noob all over again Missing SAEDs left and right, sometimes even forgetting how to do them in the first place, failing guard points and suddenly being im axe mode. Love it though

Since I started this game I played Charge Blade and oh my goodness. The amount of times I learned something new and added to my gameplay is still counting and it makes me so satisfied to see my own progress Thanks Capcom for the most creative and fun weapon I've ever seen in videogames
Yo I just wanna say I really appreciate the fact you show how you use each weapon in your vids. Believe it or not ive learned alot just from watching the combo explanation part of these vids.
I like the CB because it truly is a trade weapon. You have to play aggressively and you have the moveset to do that. I also remember back when Savage Axe was revealed, that we all were asking ourselves if it would do more damage in SAED. Now, this beast laughs in satisfaction as it plays like it used to in MH4U.
True, to a point. 4U charge blade is definitely when it was most broken given that 4 is it's birth place. I personally think it found a happy medium in changes reminiscent of 4U and capcom trying to add balance to the weapon..as much as possible of course. CB is still one of my favorite weapons from 4 on up.

To avoid launching people after elemental discharge II wait for the step back animation to play then use the forwards plus regular attack to push you back forward and allow you to use the elemental discharge II again, very useful to stop getting kicked out of hunts
One of the most fun weapons to use if you have the time and patients to learn it But I think it is easier to master than the Great sword because you have so much more mobility
As a CB main, can confirm Kushala's wind aura does NOT block you from booping the snoot -- just whack that big red button a few times in axe mode and it turns the wind right off.
This is beautiful, every time I see someone who is good with the Charge Blade I wish I could play it that well too, but I just can't seem to get a grip on it. Your editing is phenomenal by the way!
Pumpkinlemonade Zero takes a lot of practice to know what moves to use each hunt like every weapon, but it’s better to learn while hunting actual monsters. In training you have all the time but don’t learn patterns, I hunted Barroth multiple time to practice CB then moved to diablos when I was getting the hang of it.
@@ric3crack3rs7 I also played it in actual hunts a few times and I know how to use its mechanics, but when I am in battle I just can't coordinated my actual play style with the mechanics of the weapon. It always is either like I'm playing SnS with some Axe strikes thrown in or I'm trying to get SAED and fail to properly play otherwise. I think I will give it another shot someday, but I am currently not at a point where I want to invest as much work as I would have to do to learn this weapon properly. Thanks for the tips though!
I recently found that out. I decided to make a new character where I would only use CB ( I find it a better learning experience) and now I think I am going to main it.
Dual Blades should definitely enter in the dance weapon list as well! The amount of dashes you can do in the middle of the combo + the Sling Shot Dodge (I forgot the move's name) is really impressive But as a Charge Blade main, I appreciate that a lot of people think it that way as well :D
After watching the first few seconds where you charged your shield and all your phials in about 2 seconds I knew I was in for greatness. Now I need some builds.
Videos like this are why I'm a Charge Blade Main! With us it's either feast or famine. We're either a God-tier hunter that hasn't carted once in a 100 hunts OR we're whiffing AED's and SAED's left and right, hitting the monster while someone's mounted it, launching hunters constantly using Axe-mode, and triple carting on Great Jagras. No in between! XD

Charge blade main here, after using the C.B. for 1,850 quests... i can confirm this is true Also i noticed at 8:43... get minds eye jewel for C.B. then your free to Savage axe the hell out of anything with no worry
for those that doesn't know, do you see the horn at the dragon razer(5:49)? you can adjust its position by going there and press O to shift its position.
Funnily enough, when I was younger, I played 4u till shageru and thought I might need 'upgrades' to beat the final boss. So I saw the cb and thought "ooh, bigger sns!". I was wrong. Still prefered sns to this day. But you gotta admit, cb is very flashy. But tbh, all the weapons are in world.
I'm an SnS main. CB is my second. What i have found is great to do is when you first get on for the day, play the first few hunts with CB (or SA, my 2b to CB's 2a) then switch to SnS. The mobility feels so good after playing CB.
Man came back to MHW after about 2-3 years. I mainly used the bowguns, I remember struggling with the bg on MR hunts. Now im running the chargeblade, and man its been night and day. Took a while to get used to being able to just tank hits. I kept making the mistake of playing it like a BG and would try and roll/evade attacks. And hitting those SAED's on a monsters face/tail is so satisfying lmao
I have more than 300 hours of CB at this moment, and I can tell you... When you keep using CB on every quest, things get easyer, the combos start to be unconscious. Just keep going m8, and you'll be fine in no time

When I first started out I was more keen on the simple weapons like Longsword and Great Sword. But the more I began to play the more I gravitated to the Charge Blade. The management and multiple ways to wield the weapon is just so interesting to me and I feel like it adds to the hunt!

I can agree with Chilledtiger and the video as what all he said about the CB is all true. It's one of the best weapons in the game as it has great offensive and defensive capabilities (well, sorta. The CB Guard point can block most attacks.) The charge blade just deals maximum damage and impact with its savage axe slashes and its sword and shield form is a good balance of offense, defense, and mobility. Great for players that wanna get in there and wreck monsters like beyblade knights. I definitely recommend newbies trying this one out as it has absolutely good and devastating abilities.

So I recently started playing Monster Hunter World + Iceborne as my first Monster Hunter game, and I quickly gravitated towards the Charge Blade. (I played it in some of the 3DS Monster Hunter demos, but never owned any MH game until now.) Out of all the guides I’ve seen, I never saw any of them showcase the ideal “when” and “where” to utilize the Axe and Savage Axe modes, as I usually just played it like a glorified sword and shield. I never even knew you could block roars with the shield, or that the weapon switch slash had a guardpoint. …And I learned this from a meme video recommended to me due to looking up guides.
CB is fun because instead of being stressed about the monster I am so preoccupied with my own meter management that if things go smoothe I emerge from the panic attack a winner.

When you're doing good with the CB it's like doing good with the longsword. It becomes a weird dance between your char, the weapon, and the monster.
I recently found that out. I decided to make a new character where I would only use CB ( I find it a better learning experience) and now I think I am going to main it.

Quick tip use the ghillie mantle to load the dragon razor and cannons. Also use stones to position the monster in range of it.

Press R2 once, go into axe mode, then you can use SAED or go into chainsaw mode instantly without having to use the longer combo before hand.

I have mailed chargeblade in every monster hunter game its been available in, and am only now learning it has buzzsaw mode in world.
Those retro references. I love. But I regret the shield easy explosions in Gen/GenU. Simple and dumb

I will now share this with my newly converted charge blade playing friend
So I recently started playing Monster Hunter World + Iceborne as my first Monster Hunter game, and I quickly gravitated towards the Charge Blade. (I played it in some of the 3DS Monster Hunter demos, but never owned any MH game until now.)
Out of all the guides I’ve seen, I never saw any of them showcase the ideal “when” and “where” to utilize the Axe and Savage Axe modes, as I usually just played it like a glorified sword and shield. I never even knew you could block roars with the shield, or that the weapon switch slash had a guardpoint.
…And I learned this from a meme video recommended to me due to looking up guides.
I hate how the Jurassic Frontier music from Mario Odyssey fits amazingly well with monster hunter world
CB is fun because instead of being stressed about the monster I am so preoccupied with my own meter management that if things go smoothe I emerge from the panic attack a winner.
