Just ordered a Neptune 3 Pro after having this exact dilemma. The speed was not a major concern for me as I'm upgrading from a really slow (60mm/s) Monoprice Voxel, so it'll all seem fast. In the end the upside of the 4 was the USB socket, while the upside of the Neptune 3 was the standardised MK8 nozzle and a small price drop. Glad that your comparison pretty much reassured me that I'm not missing anything I'd actually miss. Thanks!
The usb socket on the 4 pro is not useful. I stopped being able to get prints to work over usb after about a month and hooked it up to the network to do everything through fluid and it is way nicer now. The speed difference isn’t significant, but it can add up on longer prints. Things that take two hours or less are not that big of a difference, but sometimes I am making something larger and without fine detail, and I can get it done in maybe 17 hours on the 4 vs 20-24 hours on the 3.
Is it correct you are currently using the Elegoo version of Cura 5.6.0 for slicing files on both the Neptune 3 Pro and Neptune 4 Pro? Is a g-code file previously created on a Neptune 3 Pro using the Ultimaker version of 5.6.0 able to run on a Neptune 4 Pro set up with Elegoo-Cura 5.6.0 with equivalent results?
Yes I am running Elegoo Cura with great results for both printers. I have a different printer profile set for the 3 Pro and the 4. I’ve never tried to print a 3pro file on the 4.
Just the video I needed to decide on my first 3D printer, thank you! I am going with the Neptune 3 pro for more quiet and potentially more reliable experience.
I am planning to get one of these printers. Cost isn't a problem, I have enough money. The N4 is super fast, but people have all sorts of problems with it. Tge N3P is more reliable, will work out of the box. Do you have any advice on which one I should get?
@@everythingSTEM Maybe you didn't get problems, but some people did. These problems include X-Y skew, the printer not starting up, the crappy slicer, and Elegoo not having good tech support to fix all of that!
I just returned my Ender 3 Neo because of manual bed leveling nightmare. Hearing the words "Bed Leveling" now send me into a right panic! I am wanting to get the Elegoo Neptune 4 (or 4 Pro) but seeing those leveling knobs is scaring the shit out me and pushing me more towards the Neptune 3 or Anycubic Kobra 2 which do not have those knobs at all. What do you think?

thanks for this comment, the speed also did not bother me and was able to save money getting the neptune 3 pro.

Hi, Does anyone know if I can use a full N4Max extruder in a N3Max? Appreciate the help
Hello. Question. Is the backplate of both extruders the same on both models?
Great video! I dont think the 4 having Klipper is relevant considering you can easily upload it to the 3 pro aswell.
Hello, regarding the auxiliary fans on the N4...I have heard there are different levels you can choose to run the fans on, is that correct? Thanks
That’s right!
That is correct 👍

I love both - haven’t had an issues with the 4. I would buy the 4 again because of the speed.

Great video, thanks for sharing
very helpful, thanks.
То есть новая прошивка и вентилятор дали к стоимости +100 долларов?)))
стоит ли брать 4 про или все таки 3 про? (если совсем новичок в этом)

The levelling on the Neptune 4 is very simple! It has auto-leveling and the instructions are clear. The Elegoo is my 3D printer that never fails me!
Good video neptune spelt wrong in title.
🤦♀️ thanks ☺️
