I'm not sure how many you plan to sell Morgan, but I applaud you for taking a timeless and differentiated approach. In a day full of futuristic looking EVs and supercars, this is a refreshing taste which I'm sure will turn many more heads too
Never have a light coloured dash top, you can actually see the reflection in the windscreen. Just enough tech to not take away from feeling like a Morgan. Stunning.
"For fans of looking backwards". I do love this collaboration between Alex and Morgan, always really enjoy these videos. Non-corporate, entertaining and interesting.
Saw the announcement on the Autocar website and genuinely thought "Ooh, new Morgan announced. Will go to youtube to see if they have Alex Goy talking about it"
What happened to the marker lights on the wings? The loss of the 2nd light plinth housing the turn indicators is a change without being an improvement, thus tampering.
Great to see a much improved Plus Four. Looks great! The cars Morgan makes get me way more excited than anything named Taycan... if money was no object and garage space wasn't a problem I would be on my way to Pickersleigh Road tomorrow! Shame!
I love it, and being in Chicago, it was great to see that the model on display was actually left-hand drive. Maybe we’ll yet see this new car in the States. I know there are some EV haters here in the Comments, but I can’t help but wonder how marvelous an electric Plus Four might be. Anyway, Morgan deserves our gratitude for their amazing ability to so skillfully blend the past with our modern reality. Thank you.
I like the look but I think all the lights in one small unit is (in my opinion) a mistake. They might look clean (which they do) and are legal but it is much harder for other road users to see indicators (particularly rear) when combined with other lights and are not really such a good idea. Apart from that, hats off!
I've always loved Morgan and even went on my own little pilgrimage to Great Malvern before they attached a hefty price to a visit. I appreciate how they develop their cars to comply with safety and environmental standards and for more driveability. But why don't they fix bumpers any more? I don't want rubber monstrosities - but at least something to prevent damage when parking...
Was thinking the same thing Sir. I believe in some countries bumpers are required front and back. Also need a third brake light above on the boot behind the heads of driver/passenger. Also here in Canada the front lights need to be on when the engine is running. I hate to be picky but these aren't the 60's anymore. But a beautiful car to be riding around winding roads on a Sunday.
I remember my dad and I going to an auto show in New York City. Came to the Morgan display. I was a teenager with a dream of owning a Brit two seater. The Morgan was " Brit " green. Back then you could by a " kit " and assemble the car. Being just a " teen"..Could only dream ..
Looks great, though does seem like something is missing at the front, some sort of bumper or bodywork would work better then nothing at all. Also a couple of indicators at the front would set the front wings off too.
Great video, very well explained and usefully clear. Not really sure about the "bumperless" look, seems to make the car look unfinished. Glad the 2 litre four pot is still used. Amazed at how many of the odds and ends, lights, mirrors etc are specially made for Morgan, which is great, but why dont other prestige makers do this? There is nothing worse than Austin Allegro door catches on your Lotus, sort of thing... This sort of carry on is still popular, and I dont know why.
Same. Lotus Elise S1 owner - going up in price to the point it is becoming a collectors classic - so putting more miles on it is a worry - its in storage which is pointless - New moggy looks cool although prob go for a S/H one TBH £75K is a little rich - I'm sure it's worth it although I probably couldn't handle the twenty year waiting list
OH NO! Not an LCD display😢 I love these cars but where are the chrome bumpers? The new wheel arches look great The interior looks great - BUT analogue clocks, please
The folding top can be seen in the video. I doubt if it's power operated. The driver would likely just reach back and pull it up and forward into place and then clamp it to the windshield. The attachment hardware for the side curtains are on the doors and can be seen at various points in the video. If you aren't familiar with side curtains, Google something like "Triumph TR3 with side curtains". Side curtains usually have sliding windows. I'm wondering if there is room in the boot to store the side curtains as well as enough luggage for a weekend trip.
Yes like one of these new Morgan Plus Four's with Automatic 8-speed gearbox, though in Red over Blue, Royal Artillery Colours too. Also as a 4-seater lengthened version (not with rear seats though, but a padded dog's bench fitted instead, for a pair of Flat Coated Retrievers), with internal roll-over safety cage, as well as with both a removeable custom hard-top no soft-top option too. With the hard-top having two overhead drivers and front passengers fixed tinted skylight, also the hardtop has a built in aft solar panel and Satellite phone and modem transmitter / receiver aerial too. Equally the hard-top has built-in roof-rails, with mounted on these six (front looking, left and right side looking, rear looking) 360-degree driving / parking and security digital visible light and infra-red camera system, supported by visible light and infra-red LED lights too, with display screens on the drivers and front passenger sun-visors too, also drivers display being NGV friendly too Along with a doughnut circle Shaped LPG fuel tank, in the rear spare wheel aperture, but with a spare wheel on top and behidden it, with a luggage rack over both too. However, we would like a front and rear chrome front and rear quarter or full width bumpers, with the front ones having a bove car badge rail, to mount car badges and extra pair of driving sport flood LED lights and a pair of front LED fog lights too, with a pair of rear LED fog lights mounted on the rear bumper badge rails too.
I'm in my 70's so you might understand why I'd prefer a retro dashboard maybe even with crinkle black paint rather than this one that looks to these old eyes like a spaceship.
@@FurkanCemTurfanda It's a hand built car and demand has grown more than Morgan's manufacturing capacity. Since they are a typical third or forth car, their prospective buyers are not a very price sensitive crowd, so why shouldn't Morgan charge what they can get away with? Another aspect is that Morgans hold their value very well, reach a pretty high plateau after a while and will ultimately appreciate again.
I went on their website to play with the configurator. It turns out the website was made in 1999 and doesn't believe in wide browser support-that's a little sad. MS Edge and Safari are not supported, so I guess these are cars only for people who installed "another browser" after getting their laptop. Also, what about iPhone users?
Man I’d do anything to have just the plus 4, the US doesn’t even come close to having cars with this kind of style and class.
Chrysler PT???
No just no@@antonlapushkin2096
The closest experience in the U.S. would probably be the Polaris 3-wheeler (but no, that visual-atrocity is not even close).
Isnt it coming later this year?
I wouldn't tell anyone if I won the lottery, but there'd be signs. A beautiful baby blue sign.
Great design changes. Well done Morgan.
Been a lifelong admirer. Here’s hoping for success. It sounds brilliant
I'm not sure how many you plan to sell Morgan, but I applaud you for taking a timeless and differentiated approach. In a day full of futuristic looking EVs and supercars, this is a refreshing taste which I'm sure will turn many more heads too
Only criticism is that steering wheel and the auto gear shifter.
@@danielbevan9024 That steering wheel is because of mandatory airbags. They did the best they could with the resources they have, I guess.

I hope the new model is certified for Australia!
"For fans of looking backwards". I do love this collaboration between Alex and Morgan, always really enjoy these videos. Non-corporate, entertaining and interesting.
I owned a 4/4 over ten years ago, and appreciate the evolution from then to now! Well done.
No nasty garish LED light strip, for the internal ambient lighting. Thank GOODNESS!
Just subtle, clean and warm; almost Rolls Royce-like.
Thank You Morgan, you're holding the line against the onslaught of soulless EV's.
The Morgan 3 wheeler EV wasn't soulless. I'd love to see an EV version of this Plus 4
@@markjonz I'd buy an EV Plus 4.
The only thing soulless here is you guys spamming that word for some internet points.
The EV trend is dying, nobody's really been buying them. : /
This is a small niche car after all
Timeless. Back in 1968 I bought a 4/4 Series 3. Biggest mistake I made was selling it. The styling hasn't changed much since..
Looks very nice. Also, a stroke of genius having Alex present - he’s a great motoring journalist, and a big Morgan fan! 👍

Wow, just wow!
what a beauty
Looks a bit odd minus the front indicators 🤔 But I'd have one in a heartbeat.
Agreed on both counts.
I rarely ever heard any company saying that something has improved by the item actually working now. Love the car 🙂

We need this in GT7
What are those long bonnet for if you guys went for 4 banger?? Why not B58 inline six?? I don't get it
LOVE the design.
Sending us 30 years with this one
This looks super clean 👌

Bumpers front and rear would not be out of place and given the car a more complete look I think.
Now this is a voice I haven't heard since the Carfection/XCAR days.
Looks Ace
Beautiful, reminiscent of the pre WW2 car models.
Refreshing, but where do you put things.... overnight bags?
Wow! good to see you again.

Almost bought one a few times. Stuck with Lotus, now Lotus is dead and the Morgy handles it maybe time. Thank you.

Thanks. Just seen the cost of a morgan. Eeek
That’s one unspeakably beautiful thing…❤❤
Lovely, just a lovely little thing 😎
Good improvement on the old model, but 'splitter' and 'diffuser' is quite the reach. 😁
And my heart with pleasure fills and dances with the daffodils
Great news ❤👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻thanks
When will these become available in America? I know we have different rules here but it be awesome to have one!
I want them to build a family car.
Does Morgan have plans to expand it’s range in the future as Morgan design is great.
Beautiful
Wonderful car.
Very good but dynamic stability control and other safety features?
I sooo wish Morgan would make a Plus Three with the BMW 1.5L 3 cylinder turbo. Or take the straight 6 out of the K1600 motorcycle.
one day i’ll own one of these
Please tell me there is a RADIO DELETE option.
Plus four logo lovely
“Front wings”-doesn’t that say it all? ❤
Fantastic
Does the roof still allow rain to drench the driver?
I wish it were available I’m the USA.
No reversing lights then?
Very nice.
Some cars look great without a front bumper e.g. frogeye Sprite. Not this one. I also think spoked wheels look fussy once you go beyond 72 spokes.
I hope it does have proper suspension up front.
Sadly, the digital display completely ruins the car for me. The classic motoring feel falls apart every time you glance down at the gauges. 😞
Can someone please tell me what “tension” & “sculpted volume” means?
OH NO! Not an LCD display😢
I love these cars but where are the chrome bumpers?
The new wheel arches look great
The interior looks great - BUT analogue clocks, please
Wow a hand brake. How does one use one of those?
If these are a "splitter" and a "diffuser" then a Fiat Tipo is a Ferrari Roma.
How hatd is ir to get one in Canada.
Please can we get this car certified for Australia! 🧐
I'm curious about the price
How do the windows and top work?

Alex is such a natural shame he never seems to be seen online anymore 😢
I want a cylinder. Do they have one?
very pretty.
A Sennheiser sound ‘system’ in an open top sports care?!
Is that Fil ?
The charm was in the timelessness. looks more like a kid's toy than a classic.

😊 wonder what Jason Plato would make of it ?
Morgan's aren't for him as he'd probably prefer a modern Ferrari or Lambourghini. Garish cars for rich chavs.
Would kill you to make a round LCD screen? You had one job to do ..
It would have fit in the overall design. Lack of imagination
Shame it hasn't the boot mounted spare tyre..
I just bought the matchbox
I would prefer a naturally aspirated BMW 2.5l straight six in this car and of course a stick shift.
What happed to the Sexy LED Headlamps with the DLR Light bar ? These look cheap !
The price??
Personally I'd prefer some chrome bumpers
CLASS APART

What's the US price? I hope it is reasonable.
Expect around 120,000 $...
