I do a "creamsicle punch" 750 ml vodka, 2 liter orange Crush in a punch bowl, put a 2 liter vanilla ice cream in the middle and let it slowly melt, delicious!!
My mouth is watering at the thought!!
Dave. This is seriously my favorite cocktail on your channel now. Love these flavors!
Thanks, they do wok really well together.
Ohhh so lovely!! I miss creamsickles!! Especially the orange ones. I don't have any vodka so I will pick some up, and this is a must make for tonight!! Thanks Dave. Love your cocktail ideas! This one reminds me of fun times in childhood!! I rarely use vodka and I am actually excited to choose some!! :-)
Christine, Test i with a lower amountt of Vodka and play around with the Amount of Orange Juice. and Triple Sec to find what you like. and et me know what you think. My recipe is Vodka forward.
Wonderful!! I had a new girl come in to my bar and order this the other night. I hadn’t ever made one so I googled a recipe. I used pinnacle whipped vodka, triple sec, orange juice, half and half and an orange wedge for garnish. Smelled so great and she loved it... I’m pregnant but I can’t wait until I have this baby because I’ve been craving one ever since smelling it the other night! Lol!
It is really good that's for sure. How much longer do you have?
looks so good 🍊 🧡
Thank you 😋 It is really good.
Oh…I like the intro! I love a good creamy drink! So easy to make! Cheers Dave!
Thanks Ann, it is really good.
That looks amazing!
Thank you, I'm glad you like it.
That looks excellent!
Its really good :)
I love this style of drink
they do work really good :)
Oh yeah… definitely have to make this one!
Awesome, let me know how it turns out for you,.
Sounds great for Summer! A craft beer producer near me has made an orange flavoured beer with some lactose in it, so it tastes just like an ice-cream! I think this is a cocktail I'll be trying out this weekend!
Go for it and let me know what you think. This is vodka forward so you might need to adjust it to your preferences.
Hi David, I made this beautiful drink this afternoon with a small change from your spec. My Triple Sec is only 20% ABV so I substituted Pierre Ferrand's Dry Curacao. As said, the drink was delightful. Thanks again for publishing it.
Nick from York
Your welcome Nick, I'm glad you liked it.
This is the drink that inspired my interest in mixology, at a rather young age. I was at a wedding when I was maybe 11 or 12, and an older cousin was drinking a creamsicle. She gave me a sip and I was so impressed how it tasted so much like the ice cream treat. I was intrigued. I went to New England School of Bartending in Boston, back in the dark ages of cocktails....1992. (If you do an internet search for "Long Iver Iced Tea", I'm that Iver that posted the recipe online somewhere, maybe circa 1994-95) These days I have a very well stocked home bar, over 200 bottles of mostly top shelf stuff. In June I featured Long Iver Iced Tea 2.0....an updated version with better ingredients, larger specs (0.75 oz each spirit) and NO SOUR MIX....fresh lemon & simple, then Mexican Coke. Cheers.
Hi Iver I did take a look at your recipe. I will definitely look for the 2.0 version.
@@boozeontherocks I haven't put that out on the web yet, but here's the specs....Long Iver Iced Tea 2.0 (updated) 0.75 Oz each of vodka (Tito's), Gin (Beefeater), Tequila (Espolon blanco), Cointreau and Cruzan coconut rum. 1 Oz fresh lemon, 0.75 Oz simple. Shake with ice, strain over clear ice spear in Collin's glass. Top with Mexican Coke. Garnish lemon wedge. Cheers.
Looks great buddy the orange creamsicle is my favorite :)
Awesome. I agree!
Yeah that looks like a good one!
it i nice and easy and so tasty.
This is one of the best cocktails I have seen ( only because I love creamsicles) Cheers Dave
Creamsicles are awesome!
creamy and orangy! sounds deliicous!
It is really good!
Love the Channel
thank you Justin :)
thank you.
You're welcome
Hi David, this certainly looks really good!
Separately, I got a bottle of ALUNA coconut rum, also a half bottle of Jaegermeister. I will be able to make your other recent publications.
Nick from York
Thanks Nick. I Think you will like them.
Love the Triple Sec with orange flavour. And, by the way, Home Bartender by Karly is a lovely book.
Those flavors do wok well together, and I agree it s a good book.
I changed this up a little because it's National Tequila day here!
2 oz tequila Blanco
1/2 oz Licor 43
2 oz orange juice
Scoop of vanilla ice cream and crushed ice.
Blended it and was delicious!
I'm naming it The Paleta...
Mexican version of a popsicle.
Antonio, that sounds really good!!
Spiking my Orange Julius with vodka.... good times good times...
Definittely worth it Gary :)
... or a little Malibu Rum ...
DAVID!!!!! This looks too good!!!! I'm def making this TONITE!!! I may add 1-2 dashes of orange bitters on my 5th attempt!!!! CHEERS!!!!!
Tim, its really good. how ever the vodka does come through strong. So if you tinker with it. let me kkow what you final specs are.
@@boozeontherocks David!!!! Ok, this is very tasty. The only thing I changed was lowering the milk to 30 mil, and added 10 mil of simple syrup. That vodka is def prominent, but it's ok....
Last time I made a dreamsicle esque cocktail, I added a small amount of pineapple juice as well as some vanilla ice cream. It turned out great!
That sounds really good.
I would float orange gelato on top 🤤
That does sound good.
I would definitely use heavy cream and some orange zest but other wise this is as good as it gets. Nicely done
Thank you very much, I will have to try out your suggestions :)
Looks great and sounds great. I think I would use vanilla vodka and try floating the cream with more triple sec in it(light whip)
ohh.... that sounds really good. i will have to give this a shot.
... looking good there ...love the orange julius ... if it needs just a splash there should be a restricted opening like Tabasco sauce eh ?
Oh yes Will, it definitely does :)
Nice one Dave! Have a great weekend, might catch you on Discord.
you too Ulgarth. Sounds like a plan.
This, like the Cherry Almond is another "Gone in 60 seconds" drink. Speaking of which, which drink do you favor David? Thanks and know I'll be making this next and will let you know sir.
This good, but I prefer the Cherry Almond.
@@boozeontherocks I so happy to hear you and some of your viewers enjoyed the Cherry Almond. :@) This is awesome. Cheers!
Vanilla Vodka!
That is a great idea.
Great video and drink keep them coming.
If I would add 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream and 1 scoop of orange sorbet, I would probably triple the mix and use a blender to combine everything.
This drink will disappear rather quickly so having a full blender would not be wasteful in my opinion.
i would definitely recommends that action :)
Beautiful and great taste, but 45ml vodka instead of 60ml will better taste, cheers and thanks for your videos , greetings from iraq
Sarwar, geetings from Canada! You are correct 45 ml vodka would be much smoother.
I have similar recipe except I use Svedka Orange cream pop vodka 😋
That sounds really good.
This looks amazing David. I do not want to shock you but I have never heard of Orange Creamsicle (I guess I need to visit Canada), but nevertheless the drink looks fantastic. I am quite certain I will like it. Cheers!
Petar you should visit Canada, you'll want to stay :)
@@boozeontherocks I will not argue about that. So far all Canadians I have met are such incredible people I would love to come and personally say hi.
Plus I love Maple syrup. 🍁
Omg I've just made this for the first time and it's SO good! But I kinda dread to find out how many calories it has per serving lol. Anyway, cheers, Dave! Keep up the great work.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it.
Is there a dairy free half and half you'd recommend?
Ooouuu yummy. How much ice cream would you add?
I would suggest two reasonable sized scoops.
Use orange Grey goose and grand Marnier instead
I will have to try that,
Glad you posted this recipe. That was the very first drink I mixed and it was a big hit. Thanks again David!
Your Welcome. it sounds like some good memories.
Maybe a sorbet would work with this recipe perhaps lemon still will give you a creamy drank
That does sound like an interesting idea.
How do you think it would come out over crushed ice?
It would probably be good. but it would dilute fast.
True shit. Thanks
I use vanilla vodka
That is a great idea :)
Ok, so I followed your exact recipe, I'm not tasting creamsicle. It is missing the sweetness and orange and vanilla under tones. Instead of the fresh squeezed oranges I'm going to substitute with Sunny D, instead of half and half I'm going to use a bit of vanilla ice cream. I will let you know how it goes.
Thank you for the feedback. Lrt mw know what you find.
What about the vanilla flavor? How about a Vanilla flavored Vodka?
That is a great suggestion. You could definitely use a Vanilla Vodka. Or an infused Vodka. Totally up to you. It would work really well.
I would add more triple sec maybe a full ounce
That could definitely work. It would wok, it would change the flavors a bit too.
@@boozeontherocks and if you fine strain it… it would probably have more velvety smooth taste which would probably let the orange notes shine more
