Great followup on changing the EJK after your modification. 👍

Thanks buddy! I don't pay much attention to the EJK but I'm going to see if I can do some things with it to make my riding experience a better one. LOL!

@@FloridaTwoWheelAdventures I always stayed away from tuners because I’m not too tech savvy.
I’m sure you’re helping some people out with this information.

    My two cents...
Consider slowing down and spending more time dialing in your settings. Go up until you are rich and blubbery for green, yellow, and red and record the value for each. Then slowly go so lean on each that you lose power. The sweet spot is inbetween, a little richer than max power is the goal as you adjust from too lean towards richer. The more you play, the more you will get a feel.
I rev mine pretty hard and can really notice bumping up green and yellow into the 4 to 4.5ish range at 5 to 7k elevation and the red at 3 to 3.5. At 2.5 k to 3.5k feet elevation I back these down about one value, so 3 to 4ish and 2.5 to three for red.
My controller is mounted on the right side and accessable any time I am stopped, so I have played around quite a bit.
This winter I will spend a lot of time at 1.5k to 3k elevation and I expect to be a bit leaner on all settings.

Wouldn't you need to lower the fuel if you were at higher altitude because the air is thinner? You said more fuel at high elevation

@shaunoftheguads Yes, you would normally... I made this comment after riding on two sides of the Rockies and what worked on that day by feel. But, it ate at me as being backwards from my carb jetting days and it is. Since then I brushed up on my understanding of elevation, temperature and humidity and I think what I felt was the difference between really low humidity and high humidity in a bike running on too rich of settings. I am now running leaner settings, especially orange and red fueling.

Also, I have learned these tuners piggyback onto existing ecu feulling settings. They compensate for elevation and the green, orange and red values simply determine how much more fuel than stock to give the engine.

My EJK arrived at #4 in the green zone. But the EJK representative suggested I reduce it to 1 for better fuel economy. However with my bike geared at a 13/44, my bike is never ridden under 3000 rpm’s, even when cruising. 2022 klx300

You described the EJK settings better than anyone else before. Lemme know how your new settings workout, because I haven't made any changes since removing the secondary throttle plate. And I'm going on three months soon...

Thanks. It's often a challenge for me to get the thoughts I have in my head out of my mouth! So I am glad this made some sense to you. Making changes to the EJK is usually difficult for me to notice straight away. I figure with the secondary throttle plate being taken away, the acceleration portion of the power band is going to need some additional fuel. The bike fires up and idles quite well so the idle/cruise range has got to be okay. Specific fueling for your bike might be different than mine due to your location.
I think one day I might set up a dyno run to see if there are any changes to make but that'll be something I do just for fun, or UA-cam content. As little time as I have to ride my bikes, the way I have this set up now seems pretty good.

I’ll pay for 1/2 of your dyno runs if so. I want the same info! Seriously.
