Honestly the best and most informative channel for bmw owners Even i own a f10 530d and you legit have made a video on each and every issue i have faced Nice work 👍
Good afternoon. I carried out the fuel filter change on an F11 520d without realising that there was procedure for bleeding... I did 10 ignition cycles and tried to start, nothing. Looking online and saw all the info about the bleed procedure. The correct bleed procedure has now been carried out twice but the car still won't start. The first time the bleed was carried out you could hear the air and fuel being purged through. No air sounds on the second run. Any info or advice would be much appreciated. Cheers.
Nice video overall but you are supposed to prime the fuel system before attempting to start the car or you can damage the CP3 high pressure fuel pump. The diagnostic scanner you bought should have this function if it is a decent one.
Question is when to replace fuel filter as nowhere in owners manual or service manual fuel filter change frequency is given as in other diesel cars it is at every second service.
Great how to video, very detailed. I just have a question, shouldn't you prime the fuel filter with a foxwell 510 or some type of scanner softwrae? Many people on the forums comment about potential damage to the hpfp
You can prime with software however not eveyone has access to it , but when you install a new filter and then turn on the ignition couple of times the fuel pump will prime the fuel filter, hope this helps
@@ThatBeamerGuy no, this doesn't work with the N47/N57 engine. And is a good way to kill the already VERY fragile Bosch CP4 high pressure pump. You should do the bleeding proceedure via BMW diagnostic system (INPA/ISTA).
sorry to be so offtopic but does someone know of a way to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost the login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me
@Zev Roy I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
yes the process and location is same for 730ld as this has the same n57 engine and fuel system is pressurised so diesel will be drained when disconnecting a fuel filter
Wrong! Never start up your engine after replacing fuel filter, if bleeding procedure wasnt performed. Turning on the ignition even if you do it several times wont fill the system with fuel. In effect, when you start the car, fuel pump runs dry and its seizing itself. Recomended procedure is to use diagnostic intterface first, bleed system and finaly starting engine.
The system must have primed otherwise the engine would not have started as quick. i am getting a garage to do mine as i am too lazy they also said it primes itself when ignition is turned on.

Is the location and process the same for a bmw 730d 2010?
Also, is it normal that when you disconnect the filter, lots of diesel is drained?
yes the process and location is same for 730ld as this has the same n57 engine and fuel system is pressurised so diesel will be drained when disconnecting a fuel filter
Will this work for 2014 bmw 550i? (F10)
Hi Joshua. I have the same car, a 2014 F10 550i. Were you able to find the answer? Does the car have a fuel filter?
@@jasirkhawar8845the 535i doesnt have
if changing oil and oil filter at the same time must change diesel filter.?
no bmw recommends to Replace the diesel filter on every 3rd oil change
Thank you for the Diy, my bmw service department told me the f10 doesn't have a fuel filter....lol 😉
Maybe his was diesel model?
Nice video, may i know the cost of the fiter?
is this for diesel engine?
Yes
What is difference btw oil and fuel filter and their cost also?
The oil filter filters the engine oil
And the fuel filter filters the fuel (petrol/diesel) so that injectors get clean fuel
@@ThatBeamerGuy and cost?
Awesome video as always! 👍👍
Looking forward for the giveaway.. 🎉
Thanks bhai☺️
Good luck for this giveaway 🧑🏻🔧
Very useful . thanks
Is it the same for 535i?

Is the filter the same for a 2012 535i

Petroleum or Diesel engine? Year?
Inline fuel filters in BMW are typically found in Diesel Cars. This is an F10 pre LCI car by the looks of it so likely between 2010 and 2013
diesel bmw f10 inline 6 cylinder 2011
Would this be the same location for2011 petrol?
the fuel filter on a petrol bmw f10 is non serviceable. It is a part of the fuel pump assembly which is located inside the fuel tank
@@ThatBeamerGuy so I would need to replace the whole assembly?
hi sir I would like to know how he blew the filter, thanks!
Hey 👋🏻, this filter should be replaced once a year or every 30-40k km, hope this helps ☺️
💯💯
👌👍

Can bimmercode do it?
Procrastinator that valve cover never be fixed. 😬🥴👎
Is this the same for f10 550i?
i think it would be different for petrol
