Same. My core group is still very much in touch. We don’t speak constantly, but our group chat is very much active. I moved in one direction, and two moved in the opposite and the rest stayed there, and we still interact as though we all live in the same place together even if we can’t all be together in person. Getting dropped that quickly when you move isn’t normal. Drifting, sure after a time, but not dropping.
My bffs have come to visit me SEVERAL times a year for the 14 years since I've moved! I go back to see them and they come to see me, and it's a TEN hour drive one way, over 500 miles!!! I 100% agree real friends stick by you. My bestie since I was in second grade lives on the west coast and I'm on the east coast, and we text and talk.and even send each other little cards and gifts for no reason. Hoping to meet up with her in Hawaii in 2024!
Exactly! Most of my friends I met in my early 20s now live in totally different cities, and even countries! Some of them have slowly faded away, but the close ones have stuck around! We still talk often, and visit each other when we can :)
For Milo, ask the vet to check his colon to make sure nothing is wrong there. I lost my baby girl 2 years ago because she had an enlarged colon, something called a mega colon, and she didn’t make it because it was caught too late. It may require surgery but better to catch it early. My girls only symptoms had been a slightly swollen and hard stomach but she was still active as normal so the connection was never made. I’d hate to see Mr. Milo go through what she did. Sending good vibes for him :) ❤

My dog's name is Milo and I almost lost him because he ate part of a towel and his toy which caused a very large blockage in this intestine. I cried so much when I was told how much surgery would be or I had to put him down. By the grace of God my boy made it and is here with me. Adam- get an ultrasound for milo if you can. Additionally request a fecal test bc parasites can cause swollen belly. If it’s an IBD issue found in the ultrasound (inflamed intestines) then get him started on a high quality probiotic asap. They must’ve also done an x ray already I’m assuming to make sure there isn’t a blockage? So many things I could say but please keep us updated ❤️❤️ I went through so much with my kittys. Same here. I have been self isolating because of my adhd. Now that its testweek I havent seen humans for 2 weeks. These kinds of video's are realy helping because it makes me feel like I have a friend over. (Lol thats sad but I realy enjoy it haha)

In January, I had to humanely euthanize my service dog of 15 years Boo, due to him going into renal failure from old age. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. I still cry every day.he was my everything. He was with me all day everyday. He went to college with me, he stayed in the hospital with me, he traveled with me, he stayed with in rehab for months while I re-learned to walk. For 15 years he was with me always, he was apart of me. He had literally saved my life numerous times. He was my Angel. He was my best friend. Without him I am only a shell of the person I use to be, and I’ll never be whole again. My mother adopted a pup for me in March. I love him to pieces and our bond is getting stronger everyday. But he will never replace Boo. Loss is hard and painful. It’s heartbreaking and absolute. No one should be shamed for how they grieve. Take care of your babies, and yourself. Totally understand what you're going through Adam. My puppy got diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer this past weekend. PLEASE CHECK FOR CANCER. My puppy also currently has an enlarged gut so make sure he doesn't have that. Ask to do an X-ray for him, if you haven't already. Really hope your Milo baby ends up okay
I'm sorry to hear about Milo, I lost my tuxedo cat Cheet last year due to liver failure- it happened so fast it was like a blur, the way we noticed he was eating less and his abdomen was swollen. I'm still healing & so is my other kitty, but I can tell you that if it is worst case scenario, you will come out on the other side knowing that you did what's best for Milo no matter what. We don't want our babies to suffer ever

If I could have afforded to live alone, I likely would have lived in half as many places at least. Roommates are tough. My cat got fixed when she was two months and I remember her stomach being “rock solid” during the healing process and I thought it was abnormal. She’s fine and 13 years old now, I just always thought maybe they did something wrong during her surgery? She does have issues with being overweight and I’ve always thought that was a factor

Same here. I have been self isolating because of my adhd. Now that its testweek I havent seen humans for 2 weeks. These kinds of video's are realy helping because it makes me feel like I have a friend over. (Lol thats sad but I realy enjoy it haha)

I’m so sorry that Milo is unwell currently, I hope it is something that is easily fixable and heals fast. He is such a sweet kitty. It’s so hard when our fur babies are sick or hurting and they can’t tell us how to help them get better. I’m so sorry that you and Milo are both going through this right now. I recommend giving him extra love and attention. Take photos and videos of him just for yourself to keep. On a positive note he seems like he has settled into your new place well.

I’m so sorry you lost Tyler, I know how hard loss of a beloved pet can be. In January, I had to humanely euthanize my service dog of 15 years Boo, due to him going into renal failure from old age. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. I still cry every day.he was my everything. He was with me all day everyday. He went to college with me, he stayed in the hospital with me, he traveled with me, he stayed with in rehab for months while I re-learned to walk. For 15 years he was with me always, he was apart of me. He had literally saved my life numerous times. He was my Angel. He was my best friend. Without him I am only a shell of the person I use to be, and I’ll never be whole again. My mother adopted a pup for me in March. I love him to pieces and our bond is getting stronger everyday. But he will never replace Boo.
Loss is hard and painful. It’s heartbreaking and absolute. No one should be shamed for how they grieve.
Take care of your babies, and yourself.

Same thing happened to me, some people just drop you which u eventually learn to handle with time and with some people you just grow apart with no hard feelings.. I managed to stay in touch with a few of them luckily. As cliche as it sounds those who are meant to stay will and others won't so don't stress too much about it and allow yourself to feel sad cuz thats okay too. Giving you so many hugs Adam. I’m moving to the UK to be with my Brit from the US and I know I will be leaving behind family and friends as well, knowing that eventually my friendships is coming to a close. Being an adult is difficult in that aspect.

My furious furry is transfixed watching Bonnie and Dolly (on my tv screen where I'm casting this}. I think vlogs would help your loneliness or settling in. I have moved a few times and it doesn't really get easier - my I'm at least 20 years older. I have been over to Manchester pride a couple of times and it was fantastic and I assume that Canal Street is fab all year round. Good luck to Milo. Totally understand what you're going through Adam. My puppy got diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer this past weekend. PLEASE CHECK FOR CANCER. My puppy also currently has an enlarged gut so make sure he doesn't have that. Ask to do an X-ray for him, if you haven't already. Really hope your Milo baby ends up okay

I'm sorry to hear about Milo, I lost my tuxedo cat Cheet last year due to liver failure- it happened so fast it was like a blur, the way we noticed he was eating less and his abdomen was swollen. I'm still healing & so is my other kitty, but I can tell you that if it is worst case scenario, you will come out on the other side knowing that you did what's best for Milo no matter what. We don't want our babies to suffer ever

Your comment about Bonnie made me think about how many moves and places I’ve been with my cat Kiwi. 13 moves. That is insane. 😂 My twenties were pretty chaotic. If I could have afforded to live alone, I likely would have lived in half as many places at least. Roommates are tough.

My cat got fixed when she was two months and I remember her stomach being “rock solid” during the healing process and I thought it was abnormal. She’s fine and 13 years old now, I just always thought maybe they did something wrong during her surgery? She does have issues with being overweight and I’ve always thought that was a factor
